The most pointless thread on the DIS!

Good Morning to you too Tink!

I had a great weekend thankyou....

Usually at the 30 day mark I have all the travel bags and such sitting in the living room waiting to be packed! :earboy2: It really adds to the excitement in this house. When the smaller kids were younger they wud argue over which bag was theirs and pretend packing it. Those days are over I quess , but my daughter still enjoys the long drawn out process of packing for a Disney vacation.
I am beginning to wonder what it will be like going to Disney as an "empty nester"...Dont think I'll enjoy it as much, without the younger crowd.
Aww I bet you'll still enjoy it, just in a different way I guess. Who knows...maybe in the future some grandkids will join you for the ride. :)

I just noticed your Dis Platinum Sponser thingy, and this may sound like a dumb queston but, how do you go about getting one of those?:confused3

Geez...that's quite a bit of money :scared:

If I could put a price tag on the amount of money I've saved from what I've learned here at the DIS as well as the time saving tips and the do's and dont's.......well this is just my way of saying thanks. I wasnt able to afford it when all the kids lived at home though.

Very, very true...and extremely generous of you as well.:goodvibes

WORDS TO LIVE BY:
The phrase "working mother" is redundant.
I'm not going to vacuum 'til Sears makes one you can ride on.
My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint
:wave2:

Now there's a toy I would buy...hope it wud come with a place to put my coffee mug tho!

Another pointless bit of verse
(I hope they don't keep getting worse).
Inspired by the Good Ol Gal,
who told something about the last dis pal
to post a different, pointless thread,
but put thoughts of this one in my head.
It's not that hard. It's just a rhyme.
Doesn't everyone do it all the time?

Heres my rhyme, quess what it's about,
if you cant figure it out, then give me a shout.

This first present is unique
It must be taken with a grain of salt.
If you don't like this gift,
Well, it's not our fault

Good Mornin' to all...........

Heres my second clue done as a rhyme;

When life gives you lemons,
Some say: "Make lemonade."
Please don't do that-
That's not the plans WE'VE made.

The next rhyme wud have been about a shot glass...

Oh ok, I get it. I was all confused as to where you were going with this before. I didn't get what the whole clue one and two meant. That's pretty cool.

I have NO idea what the answer is :confused3 ...but, here is some useless info for you all :teeth: ...
"With a Grain of Salt"
This catchphrase is a direct translation from Pliny's Historia Naturalis. In the original Latin it is cum grano salis.
To “take something with a grain of salt” is to view a statement with a skeptical attitude.
A grain of salt contains about:
5.85x10-5 gr/ (29.25 gr / 6.02x1023) = 1.2x1018 atoms, half of which are sodium atoms. (The other half is chlorine atoms, of course.) :teacher:
