Hi there! I actually started a PTR awhile ago last year sometime but I've decided to start another one because that trip is no longer in planning and I don't know how to delete it!:lmao:

We are starting to plan another trip because my boyfriend.. Michael, but we call him stew or stewy (because of his last name not family guy! :rotfl:) just got a job working on the railroad in NY! Long story short he tried out college and it just wasn't for him so he applied like 700 times and finally got a call! But it stinks for me because he is on "probation" for the first year! He started in October 2011 so he couldn't take off until October 2012 for ONLY 3 DAYS! (plus his 2 days off for that week) so that leaves us with only one 5 day vacation for the entire year!

Needless to say he is NOT a Disney crazed fan like myself, he liked it (He only has gone once... check out my trip report with my mom and nephew) But he wanted to go somewhere relaxing, which I totally get so we'll be going somewhere tropical or to Ireland... even though people say that will be a lot of work also we think we would just sign up for one or two tours and just hang out... we're both very Irish :shamrock:

ANYWAY, now that I got that all out! We have decided to go in either October or November of 2013. This is why I am calling this The Most Planned & Unplanned Trip Ever! Stewy would like to relax and I would like to plan ever minute of every day so it will be a compromise. Such a long time away because it has been almost a year since my last visit and I'm itching to get back! But I've read all about the low crowds in the beginning of November and the beautiful weather so that is what we're leaning towards.

If anyone has any advice about this time of year please let me know! I've only ever gone in March or February.

Let me backtrack.. I just told you my entire life story without introducing myself!

That is us in Epcot in March of last year.

I'm Caina, I'm 22 and will be 23 in two weeks on the 28th! My user name is Tutti because my wonderfully odd boyfriend has made up a handful of nicknames for me over the past 4 & 1/2 years and Tutti stuck. Like I said we've been together for quite sometime and before we made it official we we're best friends in high school. We just moved in together this past October into our first apartment and it's wonderful... We also have a pet cat named Jack, we mostly call him cat but the vet needed a name. I am a student at the FIT in NYC studying and I have a obsession with Disney World. Which I thought was pretty odd until I found this page! :rotfl:

Stewy is 22 and will be 23 in July he is a hard worker and a go with the flow kind of guy. He knows I like to plan so he lets me.. plan everything! He never went to WDW as a kid and enjoyed it when we went last year.. his favorite ride was splash mountain and we rode it about 4x!

My Ideas So Far...
Dining Problems, Does everyone have these?
We're going to Miami!

After that mouthful of unnecessary information I am calling this the most planned trip because we have over a year to plan & at the same time the most unplanned trip because we want to relax so I'm not sure if I am going to have designated park days or how many ADRs a day we will have...

The dates we are thinking are.. November 10th through the 16th & we will be renting a DVC villa at the BoardWalk.

Before this trip I have never stayed outside of the All Star Resorts and I am DYING to do so! I wanted to do the Beach Club but we decided on the boardwalk instead. Either would be fine really because I love that we are able to walk to and from Epcot and MGM, I mean Hollywood Studios. :rotfl:

We plan on using a rental site and doing to rental at exactly the 11 month mark so we can have the room of our choice.

I just don't know about the dining plan, while I want to eat at SO many restaurants on property and would love to do deluxe because I love getting appetizers I just feel like there isn't enough time in the day to eat all of that food and still get touring done! Does anyone have any opinions that would make me feel better about this? I mean I know we can still get appetizers if we don't do the dining plan but I do like the convenience of having everything paid for (except tip) before we leave....:confused3

With that being said that is pretty much what I have so far I am looking into tours and making a list of restaurants I am DYING to try so I can narrow it down to see if it is worth it.

Do any of the planning books have menus in them? Because that would be helpful.

Thanks for reading & I hope everyone had a fabulous valentines day yesterday! :lovestruc

I think I'm first yay! Can't wait to read more! What kinds of restaurants are you thinking of visiting?

:welcome: Thank you for joining in!! :goodvibes I have SO many restaurant ideas it's not even funny which is why I want to do the deluxe plan but again I think it is too much time for sit down dining. I will post all my ideas in the update please offer suggestions I need them right now! :lmao: I am going to check out your PTR in progress asap!

So I love dining out and I LOVE all of the options at WDW but there are so many that appeal to me so I get crazy into making lists of where I want to eat and practically write down every restaurant :lmao: and then realistic say there is no way you can eat everywhere! So I start crossing off and here is what I've come up with.....

Animal Kingdom, I only ate here as a sit down meal when I came in the 5th grade and I don't remember any of it or where it was, I also never spend a lot of time in this park and I want to try to explore a little more... Not sure if we want to do Breakfast or Lunch... it most likely won't be dinner since the park closes so early usually....
BUT I'm thinking Yak & Yeti or Tusker House... Thoughts?

Hollywood Studios, I know I want stewy to experience 50's prime time cafe because it's so funny and he'll play back but I also want to do the fantasmic dining package and I don't think this is one of the restaurants. He also has only one request, not to go back to the Brown Derby because we went here on whim and thought the prices were ridiculous, I thought everything was wonderful but hey if we're going back and those are his only wishes I can accommodate them... Also another reason why I'm learning towards the dining package so he doesn't have to see prices.... ;)

Epcot, I love Mexican I just don't know which on to go to! HELP! I've had the counter serives and it was fabulous and I will absolutely be eating that again. But I want a sit down meal here... Japan is also giving me a hard time because I love sushi and hibachi but I feel like we can get that at home and should we waste a dinner on that? I'm thinking Rose and Crown because I think stew would enjoy it and maybe Biergarten and of course Le cellier because of all the reviews! I've looked and France's menus and just don't think I would enjoy it... I like what I like and kind of keep it the same!

Magic Kingdom, I want to go here for Breakfast before the park opens because I think it would be fun to walk down Main St. with practically no one there! I just don't know where, I've eaten at both Cinderella's castle and Cristal Palace and I don't remember the castle because it was when I was young and for dinner and crystal palace was good I just don't know which to pick! It will probably Cinderella's. And Stewy LOVED The Plaza's sandwiches from last year so that was his other request, even though I'd rather go somewhere else I can deal.

NOW, I've never really gone to other resorts... So I just don't know what to do here but I want to SO SO Badly!!!!! Please help me with good suggestions for fun and good food and a good time. Stewy doesn't like to go to a fancy dinner that's going to last 3 hours he only likes that once in a while.

Also I'm not sure about DTD we ate at Capn' Jacks last year and it was good and we also ate at the rainforest cafe which was okay but I don't know about any others....:confused3

HELP!

Even though we have a quick vacation to plan this year in October and another vacation to plan for the beginning of next year we've been talking a lot about our Disney trip of course! :goodvibes

This October stew just requested we go somewhere where we just chill... somewhere tropical. So much for Ireland. :confused3 But that's okay! It will be our first time out of the country!

We also are planning weekend trips to LBI where we usually go for a week or so every summer as well as Boston for a weekend. We're both in NYC a lot and will go to a ton of Yankee games as well! :yay:

As for 2013 we're also planning a trip to Las Vegas and California! We don't have many details but that general area is where we'll be headed! This can still change.

Now, back to the new Disney trip plans! Stewy wants to add time to South Beach! So I have never been and have tons of research to do! I've been looking a mock flights because we can't plan for over a year away.. :lmao:
We again only have one week.

Here is what I came up with...
Saturday PM after work fly out of JFK to MIA

when we arrive go out somewhere fun, get in around 9. :woohoo:

Sunday spend the day recovering on the Beach. :cool1:

fly to MCO early Monday am around 6:30-7am! :scared1:

Spend the rest of the week in Disney at BWV

Saturday PM fly home again. :sad2:

Now here is my question... I actually just answered it myself, I was thinking of packing our carry on for just the day and a half in Miami because we'll really only need two outfits and bathing suits and hoping we could keep our luggage at the airport for ME but I realized WDW isn't in Miami :rotfl: and we'll have the lug my over packed bags around.

So any ideas for Miami?

So if you read my last TR, many people didn't...:rotfl: you would know that I dropped my camera in England in Epcot! :sad2: I used my iphone for the remainder of the trip but I desperately need a new camera!

What do you use in the park? HELP!

I have a Canon Rebel Xti with 2 lenses, a 50mm Prime and a 28-135. I love it, it takes great pictures. I feel comfortable using it in all of the settings now, I don't use automatic anymore. My husband has a Kodak, I don't know which one but it's black, kind of looks like a small DSLR but it's a point and shoot. My son (14) uses an old Canon Powershot. My plan is upgrade my camera and give my son my Rebel. He is interested in photography and taking a class at school. If he doesn't like that idea, I am going to upgrade his Powershot to a new one.

My biggest fear is dropping any one of our cameras. Years ago I had a Sony (like 2002) was so expensive back then. It took really great pictures. I had it on my desk, left the room and when I came back found it laying on the carpet. My 2 kids swear they didn't do it....it was a short fall too but it wouldn't work after that. I was so sad.

Those new Sony's are really cool. I was at Target last night and was playing with the one on display. It's like a DSLR but in point and shoot form. It took great pictures, if I had money I would buy that for my son.

Yeah I think I'm going to just have to go play with them in the store and decide which one I want, my boyfriends sister is a photographer so if I could just take her along with me my life would be that much easier! :rotfl: Thank you for all of the tips, I'll look at those when I finally go looking.
