The most perfect trip ever!

You tried to get room service at the parks? :rotfl2: You're kidding! :rotfl2: I would love to go to Disney with you! You seem like a fun person to hang out with! :cutie:

Hey...if someone can't get an ADR they can always book a tour guide! Has your friend tried that? He should! Oh...about the tour guide...I wonder if they would have taken you guys backstage at Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic to meet those characters you can't normally meet!? Now that would be worth a guide for us!!!! How freaking cool would it be to have your pic made with the entire cast of either of those!!! :woohoo:

BTW I don't think I ever told you but I loved the matching Camp Rock shirts you and Savannah bought! :thumbsup2

I was kidding...well I did think it but didn't try it :rotfl2:
I love room service breakfast. I dont speak before a second cup of coffee :surfweb: so with room service I can just grunt at the server when he comes to the door :rotfl2:

I didn't ask about going backstage but I did read on the DIS where a family with a guide did get to go backstage for beauty and the beast and meet the cast. This trip my DD was way more interested in the thrill rides.... as she was in charge of the guide, the guide did what she wanted to do.

Oh I am lots of fun at Disney. I LOVE DISNEY! I don't like the peeps who run through the park riding rides and rushing from place to place looking for the magic :rolleyes1

I love going and laughing, cutting up and being silly. I love meeting Cm's there with a great sense of humor. If we get grumpy we leave ...end of story. It drives me nuts to see parents screaming and yelling at tired, worn out kids. I will tell you when we went in Feb. my kids had the best time in the WORLD at the UK maze.... they got with a group of other kids and played pacman in the maze for an hour :thumbsup2
If Walt would have been there he would have been so proud! To watch these laughing, playing children would have done his heart good.

I do like being spoiled on my vacation to Disney. I am not a spoiled type of person here at home. I am a stay at home mom who cooks and cleans for her DH and 3 kids. I like forgetting I am the "mom" for the week and just be a kid myself.

The camp rock shirts were my DD's idea :rotfl2:
I will admit it was fun going as "twins" but I would never admit that to my real life friends :rotfl:

I would love to read about that. That is something we'd like to do. Sounds like Savannah ran your guide to death having some fun on those rides! You guys really got good use out of her! I loved hearing the Hannah story too.

We love the rides, don't get me wrong, and luckily we never have to wait in line but my favorite part of Disney is the feeling you get while you're in there! The smells, the balloons on Main Street, the sounds. All the little things we love and enjoy. This upcoming trip is only 8 nights. Our last trip was 17 nights. We decided against doing the waterparks and all this time so we could enjoy everything else without feeling rushed. If you look for the Magic it'll never happen. :wizard:

I met some wonderful people last year. That maze is fun! I like it myself.

:surfweb: I hope you can find me that link. ;)

We were actually sitting in the lobby at the GF when we saw this wedding party taking pictures! The bride's brother played her a song on the piano for her and the groom..Everyone in the bridal party watching were crying! It was beautiful.

Just want to say...Great trip report!

What special memories you made with your daughter, and here you are, offering to share your story, your thoughts,etc....and certain folks feel the need to infest it with negativity! Get a life people!
Love the photos....I have a 2 yr old...I would never dream of booking an event that there was an age limit! If there is an age limit, there is a reason for it. Inconsiderate of others to bring a one year old!
First trip report that had mention of "giraffe nipple" though!
You should win an award for that! lol

I would hate to see the trophy :rolleyes1

I am really enjoying reading your wonderful trip report! Thank you for sharing it! Your DD is adorable, and your pictures are terrific! It makes me feel like I am at Disney right now! I'm glad you had a terrific time! :goodvibes

Hey Brook, I was also reading your Feb trip report. I noticed you had breakfast danishes with your room service. What did you order that came with the danishes? My DH wanted anything other than biscuits with the Grand Breakfast. I asked them to substitute the biscuits for either a danish or muffin. But when breakfast arrived, it had no biscuits, no danish and no muffin! :rotfl:

I purposely ordered the Grand Breakfast because I remember you mentioned it was large enough to share (which it was) and it came with coffee - which I also need in the early am hours!

One day I ordered the kids the Mickey waffle meals, then other day they shared the french toast adult meal. They LOVE french toast and discovered it's not easy to find. They were actually getting tired of Mickey waffles!

We really enjoyed room service. I want to thank you for giving me the run down on it :goodvibes

DH wanted to order room service from Narcoossee's after we dined there. He loved the soup and wanted to try the whole lobster. But not being on the dining plan I wouldn't let him!! Next trip, when we're on the DDP - just for the room service!! :rotfl:

Absolutely loved, loved your mother/daughter trip report. Your trip seemed like it was full of love, laughter and fun, as it should be at Disney. Not going crazy or schnizo(sp?). Your daughter's wardrobe is beautiful. And I enjoyed your sense of humor as well as your daughter's.

And cancelling your ADR's at Le Cellier was an act of love for your daughter's happiness that if others knew how to be unselfish, compassionate and caring for other's well-being and happiness, especially if it is a child, would understand.

Loved it! :cheer2: :flower3: :grouphug:

Great trip report...cherish those memories with your daughter. They seem to grow up so fast. My dd is now 20 and we still enjoy going the the world together. You will always remember this trip.

Hi, loved you trip report. :goodvibes

It has inspired me to look into a VIP tour(s) for our upcoming trip, do you have an email address that I can contact them on?

Which park do you think you got the most out of - I'm thinking about DHS and maybe Magic Kingdom

DH is going to love this one :rotfl2:

Thanks
Melissa

Great pictures! What a special trip for you and your daughter!

Not to reopen the wound...but we had reservations for LeCellier in June when we were there for a party of 7 at 8:45pm. Around 2:00, I called the reservation line to let them know we were cancelling to go to another restaurant. They said "Wow - you really made someone's day. This reservation will be snatched up right away!"

No one can know until that day what the day will hold for them and things do come up. In our case, our family just wasn't up to heading over to Epcot and eating a steak when we knew we were going to a great (offsite...GASP!) steakhouse in Orlando in a few days. So we chose to eat at our resort instead. I'm sure your table was appreciated by someone else who couldn't get reservations ahead of time.

If I only had 1 day to pick for the VIP guide..errr wwell it would depend who I was taking as to what park I would go to.

If this was my first time at WDW, I would for sure do MK with the guide. It made for the most magical trip to MK for me and I have been there a lot! Of course the majority of the rides are kiddie type rides (except for the mountains and even a 4 or 5 year old can ride those)
MK is also weak on shows. There is noooo beating having CIP seating for the MK parade though :cloud9:
And the general magical moments of MK without fighting the crowds!!!

If I were taking my 2 sons with me I would do DHS. They love TOT and RNR along with the stunt show and the Indy show... star tours... you get the idea. They are older and not as in awe with the magic of MK.

Hi Brook!

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading your TR! So many wonderful photos - it has really inspired me for when we go in August!

You gave your DD a truly memorable trip - the things you did together! (I liked the face painting!)

Myself, my two DDs and my very excited hubby will be queuing with the Stroller Nazis (great phrase!) and hoping not to get any toes broken! (Ouch!)

Can't wait to read any further reports from you - please just reassure me - your DD WAS wearing a seatbelt in the limo?

She was wearing her seatbelt until we pulled up to the property. Once we were in sight of the GF she did take off her seat belt so she could get a better look. I know not the safest practice but she was excited and we were going slow as we were within sight of the resort.

I just found your trip report and read the whole thing in one sitting. I really enjoyed it. My oldest dd is almost sixteen and I really miss the times when she was little. I also have a dd who just turned one. I am looking forward to watching her grow up too.
I love the outfits your dd wore and the matching ribbion flip flops. Did you make her outfits and flops? If you made the flip flops how did you do it?

I would love to to a mother daughter trip with my oldest daughter soon. I am going to look into planning a trip like that with her. Maybe next year.
Thanks for the wonderful trip report. BTW I would have made the same choice you did with the camp rock party.
