Hey everyone! I am starting my new trip report for the WDW trip we just got home from a few days ago. It took me a few days to recover before I had the energy to write about the trip~ talk about a whirlwind vacation. :rotfl2:

Here is the link to my pre trip report for those who want to catch up~

Foreword

My daughter and I did our first mother/daughter vacation. We had such a blast! We could not have had a more bonding, loving trip ever! We got so much quality time and silly funny giggling moments to last us a lifetime. A week before our trip I broke my toe! I was worried about it so much but except for a few problems it didn't hinder our trip any! We stayed GF sugar loaf outer club level and loved every minute.

Saturday June 14

We woke up super early (3AM!) to make it to the airport on time for our early morning flight. We flew SWA as it was the only airline that had a direct flight to MCO… very important when traveling alone with a child!

Our flight landed 30 minutes early which was a nice surprise! We met up with our limo driver from Southern Elegance. Even though we were early he was there waiting for us. He helped us with our luggage and we were off to the GF in a snap! I love this limo company. Our driver was super nice and personal. The limo is always spotless and he had the Little Mermaid on the TV for Savannah along with Minnie Mouse in the limo for her. Here are some great pics of her in the limo:

We arrived in style to the GF driving up in a limo. It was WAY COOL! They had a CM waiting for us at the entrance. Bell services took our luggage and She had all of our paperwork completed, our cards in her hand! She walked us up to our room in sugar loaf… we had a domer room which was cute but no wallpaper! She gave us a quick tour of the grounds on our way to the room and showed us everything for our room. We didn't even have to check in! I had to sign the paperwork in the room with her but within 5 minutes from arriving we were ready for the parks. Luggage was backed up so we decided to wait until later that night for it so we could hit the park!

Where to first? MK of course~ We took the monorail over to MK and it wasn't very crowded at all! I was rather surprised. We went to ride splash mountain and had to fast pass it. We then went and rode the jungle cruise and as Savannah had her birthday pin on both the Dapper Dan's and the country singers in frontierland sang happy birthday to her in front of the crowd. She got the biggest kick out of EVERYONE wishing her happy birthday! She just had to have one of those water sprayers which shocked me that they were $17 ha-ha live and learn I guess! We mostly walked around riding a few things here and there along with watching the Tiki room and doing the jungle cruise. We also go a Mickey Bar for her which exploded ALL over her birthday dress =o I just sucked it up and decided to go with the flow. No use crying over spilled milk (or mickey bar) Here are a few pics of our first day:

We went back to our room to change for dinner. I had made arrangements for Peggy (from Peggy's sweets and more) to decorate our room for Savannah's birthday. She also made a gift basket for her that was simply adorable. Savannah was so surprised!!!!! The concierge staff also sent up a large mickey mouse chocolate figure with her name. The entire thing (even the paper with her name on it) was edible. Here are the pics to the room decorations:

Now it was time to get the princess dressed for her special Birthday dinner with Cinderella at 1900 park Fare!
Of course as my luggage was lost, I had to wear pauper clothes and be stinky from the park :rotfl2:

The GF lost 1 of our bags. How they lost it I will never understand! Of course it had to be MY bag that was lost so I couldn't get dressed for dinner and had to go with the park stinky's on me hehe

About 5-10 minutes before we left for dinner the missing bag showed up but it was too late for me the change so I just went with the flow!

I had dressed Savannah up in her Cindy sundress for her special birthday dinner. As some of you know my daughter loves cindy!

We checked into 1900 park fare and were promptly seated. I love this character meal. The food is really good for a character meal!!!! I love the steps as they are a riot!!!!
We got all of our food before the characters came near our table so we didn't miss any of the action. All of the characters wished her a happy birthday and joked around with her. The Step sisters (as always) stole the show! Anastasia made Savannah hide her large cindy head on her dress before she would take a picture with her LOL They weren't mean SCARY at all…. They joked around with my huge cindy lover and Savannah loved them. She even invited Anastasia up to our room to share her birthday cake LOL

Here are a few pics of Savannah with the characters:

They brought out a birthday crown and cupcake for Savannah. She already had a cindy crown and wasn't sure which crown to wear!
The steps teased her as she had 2 crowns and they didn't have any :rotfl2:
IMG_0513.jpg

IMG_0508.jpg

After dinner we went to the main lobby to meet up with friends for Savannah's little birthday party. We did the cake in the room and it was really cute. After that, we went down to the docks to watch the fireworks. While we were there we saw a young gentleman ask his girlfriend to marry him. It was really romantic except for all the kids running around LOL
IMG_0517.jpg

We had a busy first day and by this time we were beat tired! We went back to our room and hit the bed!

Sounds like and exciting first day. I am also taking Southern Elegance for my upcoming trip to the GF this August. I can't wait to go there ... 45 more days. Did that fan come in handy? I am thinking of getting two fans (possibly with misters on them) before my fiance and I go for our honeymoon.

Brook, I am really enjoying you trip report. Savannah is so adorable!:goodvibes I just love all of her outfits. I can't wait to read more.:thumbsup2

we bought a small one from walmart she broke on day 2 lol

the one we bought in the park was $17 and lasted longer but pricey. 1 good thing is if you run out of water or the water gets warm, we went to stands that sold them and got a refill of ice water hahahah

Day 2 sunday June 15

We woke up early and ate breakfast in the sugar loaf lobby. We wanted to be at rope drop for our AK day. The breakfast in concierge was REALLY good. I was very surprised it was as good as it was!

After breakfast we took a cab from GF to AK (the cost was $18 for those who want to know)

Here are a few pics of the morning. I totally forgot about the photopass people this day so no photopass pics!
IMG_0520.jpg

IMG_0521.jpg

IMG_0522.jpg

We were there for rope drop and walked QUICKLY to EE. We got fast passes and the line was still only 5 minutes long so we rode it first. After riding it we went over to the rapids and NOBODY was in line. We got SOAKED!!!!! We were THE WET ONES for the ride LOL When we returned, there was still nobody in line so we ended up riding it 4 times in a row without getting out of the boat! Two of those 4 times we were THE ONES TO GET TOTALLY SOAKED! You will see a pattern as I was a water magnet this trip. Whenever we went on a water ride, I was always the one to get the wettest!!! The CM had everyone in our boat sing Happy birthday to Savannah which she got a huge kick out of! After 4 times on the rapids we needed to go to the bathroom and wring out our undies HA HA!!!!!

After our little bathroom break we used our FP for EE and rose it again. As we were getting off the ride we won Dream fastpasses for the day!!!! This was REALLY cool as AK was the only park we did not hire a VIP tour guide!!!! I had plans of watching the shows at AK on this day but that went out the window when we won the fastpasses. This became the ride day for sure.

We rode the safari and another round of rapids (hey I was already wet so what the heck!) Savannah also stepped on my broken toe twice so I was in pain at this point.

Right before lunch, we met up with my brothers' family as they are local. We went to the bone yard and let the kids play. My brother took Savannah on Dinosaur (using my dream fastpass) while I played with my niece and nephew. My SIL is 14 weeks pregnant so she wasn't taking any chances on any rides. We just walked around and shopped! I did take my nephew on Triceratops spin

IMG_0559.jpg

Here are the 3 kids at Yak and Yeti's for lunch
IMG_0544.jpg

which is one of his favs. With it being a rainy kind of day the lines were not long at all! We ate lunch at Yak and Yeti's. I really like this place and we had a lot of fun visiting! As soon as we walked in to eat, it started pouring outside. We were soooo lucky! We took a long lunch and finally the rain stopped. We rode more rides and did a little shopping. Savannah wanted to do Bugs life and we were ready to go home as the clouds were looking not so good…… sooooo my brother took my fastpass badge and took her to bugs life and the rest of us went shopping. As soon as they were done with the show it started pouring!!!! We are talking downpour of all time. There isn't a whole lot of shelter at AK so we got soaked! I did bring ponchos but my SIL did not and I didn't want my little niece and nephew to get wet so I gave them our ponchos and Savannah and I got SOAKED (hey we were already wet from the rapids STILL)

On a funny note, my brother used my baby niece as an umbrella. LOL She thought is was hysterical and was giggling but the other peeps who saw gave him big frowns for being the crappy daddy of the year. LOL
IMG_0586.jpg

IMG_0587.jpg

We all thought it was funny but I guess some people don't have a sense of humor. No babies were hurt in this stunt and she actually wanted him to do it again!

Here is Savannah walking back from the AK after getting SOAKED!
IMG_0588.jpg

Due to the rain and getting wet, she got blisters on her feet. We tried the sneakers with socks but that made the blisters worse so she went back to her flips. By that night she had 10 blisters on her feet from being wet all day. Luckily she was a real trooper and didn't let it mess up her week! We kept junk on them all week long and she did really well. I bought her a pair of crocks to help with the blisters. I also bought a ton of bath bombs from the Basin and we used them the rest of the week :rotfl2: I love the bath bombs at the Basin (store on second floor main lobby at the GF)

After we dried off and said bye to my brother's family we ate dinner at the GF café. I really like being able to get last minute ressies here and the food is really good. We took our time eating and relaxed. After dinner we walked around a little bit and then went back to our room to get ready for bed. Here are pics of our turn down service:

IMG_0589.jpg

We had a very busy day this day but I kept forgetting to take pics! Also with the many times we rode the rapids and the on and off rain it was hard to take the camera out of the bag! :worried:
We used all of our dream FP and had a great time even with the rain. My nephew and I were splashing in puddles and singing (loudly hehe) "JUst singing in the rain... what a glorious feeling...." we really hamed the whole thing up too :rotfl2:
I figured we could be miserable and wet or giggling and happy and wet.... i prefer happy kids rather than cold wet crying kids so we just made a huge joke out of the rain and the kids jumped right in with the silly cutting up, puddle splashing.... if it rains while your there... I highly recommend getting your silly face on (even if your frustrated) as it makes for a much nicer time with laughing kids!

Wonderful so far! About the exploding ice-cream, I was thinking that lucky thing you got all those nice pics before the explosion! Your DD looks adorable in all her outfits. I must say my fave so far as the animal themed ones.
This will be my first trip to the World and I am trying to plan so that all the "wet" rides are at the end of my day b/c I hate getting soaked and then walking around (even at the beach!)
Well happy writing, I look forward to your next installment.

If you look close with the photopass pic with her balloon, down at the bottom of the dress you can see some mickey bar... the majority was hidden by her junk :rotfl2:
Mickey bars in june can be brutal :rotfl2:

The water ride thing is touch and go... really in the summer it rains everyday in Florida so your going to be wet no matter what! In the afternoon the water rides are PACKED and I hate waiting in long lines. Had we waited until the afternoon we would not have been able to ride 4 times in a row (without leaving our boat) and it would have rained so that the water wouldn't have felt as good. I just threw my hair up in a pony tail and went with it :rotfl2:
Savannah didn't even tell me about her blisters until we got back to the room and I saw them. She is such a trooper and didn't want to worry me and didn't want to stop having fun so she didn't say anything :confused3

oh I just want to interject a quick note here... most of the week my daughter wore sundresses (as you will see)
She got tons of attention as she looked adorable
BUT I did make her wear little biker shorts under the dresses for modesty!!!! If you put your daughter in a sundress do NOT forget the shorts under the dress :rotfl2:
this way she can have fun and run and play and not have to worry about her modesty as much

Day 3 June 16

This was our first big day with our VIP tour guide :cloud9:
I didn't take that many pics as I found out when I got home. We were so busy doing stuff I forgot to take pics!!!! We ate breakfast in the lobby which was as good as the day before.

We then went out front to meet our guide (Megan).

IMG_0615.jpg

She drove up in a caddie and had a birthday stuffed mickey for Savannah! Megan was so sweet and we loved her almost at once!
Here is Savannah with her birthday mickey
IMG_0617.jpg

She drove us to Epcot and we parked backstage. I found a backstage hidden mickey too hehe
IMG_0616.jpg

We stayed in the car and she checked us in with our park tickets. We then walked into the park before it opened! We ride TEST track before the park even opened! This is my daughter's favorite ride of all time so she was sooooooo thrilled! I wish I would have taken more pics but I was way to busy being amazed to take photos LOL
IMG_0618.jpg

The photpass picture machine wasn't up and running yet but I did get some later on during the day of us riding it.
IMG_0621.jpg

IMG_0622.jpg

IMG_0623.jpg

The guide took some pics while we were riding... i loved that she did this as this particular ride is Savannah's favorite ride of all time!!!!!

We rode Test track twice and then went to Soarin as the park was JUST opening.
We were first in line on the Soarin ride. This is my fav ride but Savannah isn't as thrilled with it. She "likes it" but thinks it's a bit boring (she is a thrill ride buff) we had the chance to ride it again but declined as Savannah wanted to do other things (we also rode it 5 times in Feb). We went over to Mission Space but it was not running correctly so we left and went to Nemo. As it was still morning and most peeps were at Soarin or Test track, there was NOBODY there for Nemo haha Savannah loves the movie and loves the ride. Afterwards, the guide took us backstage to the VIP entrance to turtle talk. Savannah had the front center for the show. Crush talked to her A LOT!!! He wished her a happy birthday and asked her all kinds of questions. He then asked her where her mommy was (she told everyone she was with her mommy and that we left the stinky old boys at home) … I started saying in my head OHHHHHHHHHHH CRAP when crush asked where I was!!! If you have never been to Turtle talk... there is a large audience there with you so I knew right then I was about to be embarrassed :rotfl2:
He then asked me how many offspring I had…. I said, "You mean the ones I claim?" I got the funniest look from crush when I said that hahahaah the whole room started laughing and he made some funny comments about claiming offspring. I explained that I had 2 older teenage sons and he completely understood the NOT claiming them :rotfl2: Then he asked me how many offspring did I think he had… well I didn't know the first thing about turtle breeding so I guessed 400… he said there was NO WAY HE WAS THAT BUSY SHEESH haha he was a riot! He cut up with me for a few more minutes and then went on with the show. As we got the special treatment … we really loved this show haha Savannah had to buy a crush doll to remember it!
IMG_0624.jpg

IMG_0626.jpg

As we were leaving Turtle talk, we won YOAMD ears! That's 2 days in a row we won something!

After crush we went to the imagination pavilion and rode Figment and Savannah walked around the pavilion playing the games. We then went to Honey I shrunk the audience and saw that. I wasn't overly impressed with the show but we loved the figment ride as we love figment ha-ha

We then hit the spaceship earth ride which for some reason Savannah loves. It broke down while we were in there and we sat for 10 minutes in the greek room. I kept thinking to myself the guide was on the clock so Disney better get us out of there FAST ha-ha

After we got off Spaceship Earth, we went back to mission space as it was up and running. The guide took Savannah on it as that ride makes me sick. I was able to sit down and rest my toe for a few minutes as they rode it 2 times in a row! We ate lunch at Les Ceiller's which we loved. The guide actually had ressies for 3 different places for lunch and we were able to pick last minute where we wanted to eat. I loved this freedom!!!!

Here are a few pics of us at Les Ceiller's
IMG_0630.jpg

IMG_0627.jpg

The guide ate with us but Disney paid for all of her meals. I explained to her we had spent 3 days in the world showcase in Feb. It was REALLY hot so we didn't bother to go through the showcase and instead went back to futureworld. It started raining so we ran into Mouse Gears and did some shopping. It was a quick rain which was lucky! We then rode test track 3 more times
image110.jpg

image111.jpg

and it was time to go home. My toe was throbbing still and I didn't want to take chances with it. Megan drove us back to our resort and said good bye for the day. We left her right around 2pm which was enough time to do all the rides in future world a few times around :rotfl2:
We focused on what Savannah wanted to ride and what she wanted to do... this is very important to remember!!! Had I been in charge of the guide we might have done different things but as this was Savannah's birthday present we went at her pace and did what she wanted to do!

We did NOT cut in line for the rides. I wanted to make that clear …well I guess we sort of did as we either rode before park opening or we just went through the fastpass line each time. Our guide was a huge help with Savannah and carrying our bags. She knew I was limping pretty bad so she kept up with Savannah and let me tag along behind at my own pace. She stood in line for us when we wanted a drink and got us on everything we wanted to ride…. Savannah's favs she got us on several times. We also found out our guide was the one in charge of Miley cyrus while she was touring WDW. She told us all about her.
She said she was very polite young lady and she was surprised how well behaved and undemanding she was. The only problem she had with Miley is when she would see a little girl dressed up like HM from BBB. She would run up to the little girl and ask for her autograph as it was HANNAH MONANTANA. The little girl would turn around and almost wet herself haha the bad part was it would draw a crowd so they would have to rush her backstage until it cooled off. Her uncle (which is the head of her security) kept fussing at her about it and Miley kept laughing as she loved doing it as the expressions on the little girls' faces were priceless!

Coming up next ... the one evening I could have seriously strangled my daughter :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Remember this trip was my daughter's birthday gift...
I let her set the pace of what and when we did things... she was in charge :rotfl2: she picked the dining and activities:rotfl2:

Now I am sure ya'll want to know why I wanted to strangle her on this evening... here it goes...

After we rested for a little while Savannah really FRUSTRATED ME!!!!! I could have seriously hurt my child haha

She explained to me she would love to go watch the fireworks on main street as it seemed more magical there. So at 5pm we headed back to MK (with my sore toe) we went to Mickey and Minnie's house and walked around a bit. We rode Barnstormer but MK was PACKED this day so we didn't ride anything else
IMG_0632.jpg

IMG_0644.jpg

IMG_0663.jpg

At least this time I remembered my photopass card :lmao:
image118.jpg

image122.jpg

sporting her new crocs :lmao:
image128.jpg

image133.jpg

image136.jpg

…. The bathrooms were FILTHY and the ENTIRE PARK WAS JUST NASTY!!!! I was so disappointed in the cleaniness of the park! It was just GROSS! We did do the customize your mickey ears thingy and Savannah made pink fuzzy ones with patches and had her name put on it. Very cute!

She also bought one of those huge birthday hats for her uncle as we were having a birthday dinner for him the next day (his actual birthday).

After waiting the evening, we got us a spot on mainstreet for the parade. There was tons of pushing and shoving and I was MISERABLE but keeping a smile on my face for my daughter. We watched the parade with a stroller being shoved into the back of my legs the entire time. I asked them to stop and the lady told me if I didn't like it to MOVE AACKKK

She was doing it on purpose so I would move and she could get our spot!!!! I didn't want to cause a scene so I just kept Savannah in front of me so she wouldn't get hurt and ended up with a few bruises on the back of my legs before I kicked the stroller REALLY hard and told her Sorry, just a reaction from the pain…. I minght have even bent the stroller hahaha… the lady left in a huff after that.

The parade finished and here comes what we suffered the crowds for… my daughter on main street for the fireoworks… I braved the crowds, the stroller Nazis just for her…. What does my little angel say?

Mom its too crowded here and kind of scary … lets go back to the GF docks to watch the fireworks

OMG I could have passed out right there on the spot…. So 15 minutes before the fireworks started we LEFT MK to watch them on the docks (after waiting in a packed park for 5 hours for said fireworks)

We take the boat back to the dock and while on the boat Savannah met a little friend. Her family was going swimming so as soon as we got to the docks (5 minutes before the fireworks) Savannah begs me to go back to the room and change so she can go swimming with her friend …and she didn't want to really see the fireworks that bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At that point I could have strangled my little angel~!!

So after waiting all that time we saw the fireworks…. You got it … in the pool! As we weren't doing any parks the next day, I let her swim until 1AM! She thought this was a huge treat as I am usually really strict about bedtimes. She found a little group of girls to play with and they had a blast in the pool!

She wore herself out and we headed back to the room and she passed out without taking a bath to get the pool water off of her. I ran the water and when I went to get her, she was already passed out still in her swim suit ha ha

I changed her while she slept and let her go to sleep.

And this is WHY i could have strangled her :rotfl2:
I was in Epcot all morning limping with a broken toe only to limp to MK for fireworks she just HAD to see due to the magical part... only to leave right before the fireworks started to go swiming in the pool :rotfl2:

Brook, Love your trip report! Looks like you really had a great time together!

I can't believe we never crossed paths except for that evening you were boarding the monorail with your brother's family.

Where'd you get your skorts sets? You look so nice and put together for a theme park! You and Savannah are the best dressed for sure!!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip!
