I am only going going to do one character meal with my DH, DS 12, and DS 8 when we are at WDW in Sept. can you tell me what lunch or dinner meal will have the most characters my DS 8 wants as many as he can get.:rotfl2:

I guess it depends on which characters you want to see. I noticed you have boys. I believe you can see "the most characters" in either Arkeshus or CRT, but these are princesses so the boys may or may not be interested. ;)
To determine what you want to do, check this link out for your answer: http://sites.google.com/site/wdwcharacterhunt/home/dining

Since you have boys and would like a lunch or dinner, I think dinner at Chef Mickeys is your best choice. You will get to see Donald, Mickey, Goofy, Minnie and Pluto. I think 5 is the most you will get at a non princess meal.

Well, I'm going to suggest 2 meals. (I know you said 1....)

If only doing 1, I'd say Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom - has Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. It's harder to find the Pooh characters in the parks, although 1 or 2 can be found sometimes outside the Pooh ride. You can meet Mickey in all 4 parks (MK, AK, HS, Epcot), and Minnie is in at least MK and Epcot. Donald is in AK, I know. Mickey and Minnie are in seem to be harder to find in the parksAnd the food is very delicious, a buffet with many choices. For lunch and dinner, there's a large variety of cold salads, carved meats, and salmon plus some everyday stuff (pizza, nuggets, etc.). I think dinner has some additional items. And there's a breakfast too.

Now, if you are willing to do 2, then do Crystal Palace for the Pooh characters and another one for the Mickey and friends characters. Here you have some choices. Chef Mickey's has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy. Tusker House in AK has a breakfast with Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Daisy.

If you want some "face" characters, then 1900 Park Fare has a breakfast with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and the Mad Hatter. Usually a couple extras like Tigger and Pooh. This is a nice mix. They would like the Mad Hatter... well... he's mad (crazy). 1900 Park Fare also has a dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and Cinderella's stepsisters. While that is more of a "girly" charcacter line up.... the stepsisters are outrageously funny.

The Pooh characters are also in AK. There's a character greeting spot across from Flame Tree BBQ, behind the bathrooms (don't ask me why) on the way to Dinoland.

Which Pooh characters did you see? Were they in Jungle/Safari outfits or anything? I'll have to look there next time... I missed that spot!

I haven't gone back there in a while, but I remember Pooh and Eeyore, for sure. I think they might have been in safari outfits, but I'm not sure. It's easy to miss it, but if you take a sharp right before you cross the bridge to Dinoland, you'll see a shaded area where the Pooh characters hang out.

We have always seen Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger in the UK pavillion inside the Toy Soldier store. There has been a photopass photographer there each time we have gone as well.

Don't forget about Garden Grill in Epcot... you get 4 characters Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale BUT they come around several times and spend quite a bit of time with you. When we were there last Dec they came around at least 3 times!

This is a good point. If you look at the number of characters available at a meal, Garden Grill is only four - so not the most. But like mom2val said, it's always been the character meal with the most character interaction - it's a pretty steady stream of these four characters, and we see them at least twice each per meal. We have always found the quality and quantity of character interaction to be much higher at Garden Grill than at Chef Mickey's. (Too bad Garden Grill doesn't include Minnie and Goofy - then it would be perfect!)

We saw Pooh, piglet and tiger there. It was a long walk out of the beaten path as I recall.

I think it only seems that way, because it's tucked away behind the bathrooms. It's just to the right of the Dinoland bridge from Discovery Island.

I love Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House. Your son will get to meet four characters, and the food is wonderful.

I would also like to suggest Ohana's best friends breakfast at the poly. It has been my son's favorite since 06. You get to meet lilo and stitch and mickey and pluto so only 4 characters but sooo much fun!! also if you are paying out of pocket breakfast is much cheaper!! I am looking forward to going to garden grill this year!! we also love the breakfast at tusker house!

Good luck I'm sure that whatever you choose you will have a great time!!:cool1:
