** The more Pixie Dust the better please **

I dont think im going to make much sense tonight to be honest I have been awake since 5 this morning and am still in shock from the last 24 hours !!

Where do we start ??? I have never before had a day of such uncertainty and changing the goal posts everytime we thought we knew what was happening it changed again !!

The worst part of today and it will never leave me is when 2 random surgeons stood at the end of our cubicule talking one said to the other - we are going to run well late they have big problems in theatre 5 !!! Cam was in theatre 5 and i knew it !!
Noone would tell us what was going on and ive never been so scared in my life !!

But Cam came through as the consultant put it "by the skin of his teeth!!"

So he has had major surgery again and now si in a lot of pain as a he has hadthe lining of his cheek taken away to place a lining on his eye and after even more arguing with the nurses and consultant we have for now managed to bring him home to sleep in his own bed !!:cloud9:

I asked the consultant today "When do we throw the towel in ?? admit defeat and say Cancer wins ??"
Bless him he held my hand and said " I give you my word - NEVER !! I will never give up and Cam will remain stable if it takes my last breath to it !!"

The most reassuring thing anyone has ever said to us !! Now I just hope to god that this is the time that gains the stability we so desperatly long for !!!

Take care everyone of you that have posted here sent emails or followed today on my facebook - it is so very appreciated after a long tiring day x x x

How is he today?

There comes a point when words just aren't enough to convey how much respect and admiration I have for you all as a family, and for Cam for being who he is.
I feel totally humbled when I think of what he goes through on a daily basis. It really does act as a pretty effective reality check the next time I find myself complaining about getting up early, or having to take the dog for a walk in the rain or whinging because I have a bit of backache.
Yes I know we all have cause to complain about life sometimes, but when I put it all into perspective it's easy to see that what life has thrown at me is just a fraction of what you have all been through in such a short space of time.
Cam is an inspiration to all of us and I for one can't wait to meet him sometime in the near future. :goodvibes

How is he today?

mmmm difficult to answer :confused3

He has a very swollen face as expected and is in some pain. However after a chat with the hospital pain meds have been upped and by the end of the evening he was much comfier and even ate a whole happy meal :woohoo:

Im hoping that tomorrow will see even more improvement.

Thats good because he cant wait to meet you guys :lmao:

I dont really know what to say in reply to your comments but feel that I have to say something.

As you say everyone in life has their woes and everybody has a different perspective of the severity of their woes !! If im 100% honest yes I do have days when someone moaning about their money worries or their ingrowing toe nails drives me insane and I want to rant and rave about how lucky they really are ! But then I catch my breath and realise to them that is the worst thing in their life at the moment and no amount of lecturing from me will change that ! Life is what you make it - everyone walks a different path and I NEVER expect anyone to change their perspective on their own lives because they know us or change what they say to us because that would mean that Cancer had made us bitter and twisted and I refuse to allow that to happen !!

Cameron is and always will be an inspiration but please dont place us ona pedestal - we are JUST aprents doing what any parent would do !!
