The Moms Panel take on the Yeti, an EE5K TR ~*~ Completed ~*~

YAY I'm in! I saw you all and actually ended up talking with someone who is a friend of someone on the Mom's Panel on the bus ride over from AKL to the start line, nice lady... I really wish I had asked her name though :(

Just read the first post - that is so awesome you were at AKL! We stayed there for a few days for the first time this past August - Savannah view -it was amazing! I think we're going to do a few days there again on the trip next August!:thumbsup2

Oh yes... I forgot that I took a picture of your group to possibly put in my TR :lmao:

Yay Jo!!! Thanks for deciding to write - I love your TRs and really want to hear about this trip! :yay:

Hi Jo :wave2:

Love your TRs! Waiting for more...popcorn::

Did you you ever try the chocolate brownie waffle recipe we talked about back around the time of the home parties in April?? I think I could go for a big batch of those right now! :thumbsup2

So glad you decided to write, Jo. :goodvibes How did the girls like the candy?

Hi Jo. Soooo glad you're doing a trip report. It's all your fault I'm hooked on disboards as I came across your moms panel training report and loved it so much I cant stop reading! You guys seem to have great craic (fun). Keep up the good work!

As another person who got addicted to Trip Reports by reading Jo's Mom's Panel one, I am so excited to read this one!

Hi Jo! I'm so glad you're doing a report.

Sounds like you're off to a great start. Just started and already on page 3!

Sounds like you're having a great time with your Mom's Panel friends, Jo! :goodvibes

Looking forward to reading about your trip! It was fun meeting you and getting to talk for a few moments (and once again, sorry about the whole talking to you when you were hooked up to the mic - I thought you were all just standing around, waiting for the race! I felt so bad and stalker-like! The crazy person from the DIS... I thought I was going to have to change my screen name, I was so embarrassed! But you initiating the hello at the bus stop the next day made me feel so much better!)

YA for a savanna view room! I was so happy that we got one for our stay as well (which also meant a free upgrade) but there was also the mom-guilt as I was without spouse & child as well. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it!! ;)

What a lovely surprise to run across another trip report from you.

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip.

Kudos to you for even participating in the run.

Sorry for not replying earlier but my sister arrived and then I went into London last night to watch the Chicago Bulls play the Utah Jazz. Bulls won in the final second BTW and then I've been at golf all day :rotfl2:

I didn't even see this new thread this morning, when I glanced at my board.
I just found it now, on the "Mom's Panel".

I think everyone is carrying on luggage and no one is checking luggage anymore with all the high checked fee's. We were shocked back in August how fast our luggage came too. I was telling the girls, it would be over an hour, before we saw our luggage. When we were going down the escalator, my dh saw her luggage go around the carosel(sp?):rotfl:
So we were happy too.
Thanks for reading Marissa and near enough everyone checks bags from the UK to the USA as we stay for so long, I was really lucky :thumbsup2

So glad you are writing another trip report!
Thanks for being here Lessa :goodvibes

Loving it so far Jo! Can't wait for more!!
I'm so pleased, thanks somuch for reading :)

Woohoo, a Jo report!

How nice that you all met up so quickly. I don't doubt that you all were happy to chat and it was like old friends, as we've had that experience as well with the people from the DIS.

I'm glad you were early and that everything went smoothly.

You did not get "my" room at AKL, though. :rotfl:The beds are facing the wrong way...
I wasn't close enough to the lobby to have your room CE plus there were no bunk beds :rotfl2: It was just like our meet, lots of hugs and talking

Count me in! I'm ready to read.
Yay, thanks for reading :goodvibes

I am so glad you are writing a TR! I :love:your December training TR. You inspired me to apply for the panel!

My DH and I ran the EE race. We saw you all filming before the race started. My DH, of course, thought I was crazy when I told him all about who and what your group was.

Can't wait to hear the details-especially your impression of the soggy race! We had a blast even in the thunder and lightning.

Kelliann
I'm so pleased I inspired you to apply, I hope you have good news soon! Oh you should have come and say hi, we'd have all been happy to chat and it was slightly wet wasn't it :rotfl:

Ah! Love the English English! hehehehee..
I like to confuse my American friends from time to time :rotfl2:

Okay- that's a couple of new ones! Translation please???
Chuffed means that you're really pleased, happy for someone and gutted is devastated, hope that helps!

OOOOOooo! That's a first! Usually I have to listen to how terribly inferior American chocolate is!
Oh no the chocolate is yucky but they like all the chewy things like laffy taffy :thumbsup2

Thanks Jo for the TR. I loved your one about the Mom's training. Wow, the pictures from AKL were cool. My family would love to stay there sometime. Keep writing, and I'll keep reading. I feel like I'm on a cliffhanger.
Thank you so much for reading, I'm so pleased you enjoyed my training one :thumbsup2

I'm here! I'm here! I can't wait to read all about it!

Gotta run, be back later! Heh heh heh... get it? Gotta run? :lmao:
Hey you, yeah I get it :lmao:

Woo Hoo!!

I am ready!

Oooh what did she look like? My sister came to the race late but you would know it was her as she has an English accent :rotfl2:

Just read the first post - that is so awesome you were at AKL! We stayed there for a few days for the first time this past August - Savannah view -it was amazing! I think we're going to do a few days there again on the trip next August!:thumbsup2
