The Mominator Vs. The Kinder Gentler Me...Go Read the TR!!!

I was starving when I got home, but by the time I got dinner on the table, I had a hard time choking the chicken down...

We now pause for this 3 hour break since Tracy's in a different time zone and she'll have a field day with the above sentence....:rolleyes1

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, so Michael's been sick for the last couple of weeks...first we thought it was allergies. When his cough wouldn't go away, we thought it was a cold...

Finally I took him to his pediatrician yesterday...Diagnosis?

Walking pneumonia. With a side order of asthma...Oy vey...:sad2:

Soooo...I'm home. With a ton of work I brought home to do so I wouldn't have to use a sick day...

BUT...there's laundry to do. And cleaning. And DIS'ing. And, of course, packing...

BUT...there's work to do. So here I sit at 6:30am trying to let my conscience be my guide:rolleyes1

I do have several hours worth of work to do.

I do have (now) a 3 day weekend with which to do it in.

I do NOT have plans to go to the beach tomorrow anymore...

Hmmmm....what to do, what to do....

Ok...I've started a load of laundry.

I have 3 days of GH to catch up on while I fluff and fold...

I have 3 suitcases (so far) in my spare bedroom BEGGING to be packed...

I have special (super secret) projects for our upcoming trip to work on...

Well, sounds like work is losing out...big time...

Maybe I'll have another cup of coffee and mull it over.

While I catch up on a day of GH...

Ha-ha, thata girl! :thumbsup2

Poor baby Michael! I've been down that road a few times with H, so I'm feeling the pain for you guys. :grouphug: The upside is, he's got plenty of time before WDW to get better!

Happy laundering, er... working. :rolleyes1

Awwwww, poor Michael. Hope he feels better soon.:grouphug:

If it makes you feel any better, I am AT work and Dising:lmao: (See what happens when the boss takes a vacation:rolleyes1

Awww, poor Michael! I hope he feels better soon!

(I did this once, too. Finally gave in and took Buzz in for a cold that lasted forever, and he had a "touch" of pneumonia. Whoops.)

Oh bummer! Yickes, poor guy! Well, at least your home with him today. Errrr.... working.

I hope he feels better real soon. :pixiedust: He's got 17 more days! :teeth:

"Chat" with you later!

Poor baby Michael. Jon has had that several times...the last time in the spring. Yucky stuff!

Good luck with your laundry and work! :teeth:

Poor Michael, did they give him anything?

Love your plans for the weekend :lmao:

:thumbsup2 So glad to hear Michael's on the mend!

FYI - guess what I'm watching as I DIS????

"Wally World, next three exits!" :rotfl:

Michael and I are completely packed and ready to go!:hyper: :hyper:

I've spent the last day and a half packing our clothes, doing laundry, yada yada yada...hey - maybe his being sick isn't so bad after all:rolleyes:

Saturday I started getting outfits together and laying them out on the bed in the spare room. Now my spare room was getting smaller while I was doing this. As you'll notice, the closet door is open...I've got extra pillows I've been storing in there, then "leftovers" from my cleaning out Michael's clothes...stuff to go on Ebay that I haven't listed yet. So I kind of shoved stuff to the side by the closet and got down to packing. Of course I paid for that today when I had to actually get rid of all that "other" stuff! :headache: First I worked on my stuff....putting outfits together and spreading 'em all out so I could see what I had and what I still wanted out...

001-1.jpg

Oh, and here's what a packing dork I am...I turn everything "outside in" when I pack. Why? Who the heck knows...it's a habit. I can not NOT do it!

Then I weeded it all out, took what I wanted and loaded up my suitcases. Oh, check out my new luggage! I got them a few months ago - Disney had a $55 sale and I scooped 'em up. Now I'm kind of sorry I didn't get another set as well.
008-1.jpg

So where was I? Ah yes, I packed up my stuff...
009.jpg

Yep - I fit all of my clothes into this one suitcase!!:cool1: However, that leaves shoes and "stuff"... Now this is where I admit that I was wrong...so, so, so very wrong for teasing Tracy about her shoes she was packing for her trip...

This is the group that I've narrowed out from the rest that I want to take:rolleyes:
004-1.jpg

Note to self...clean the beat up, favorite white flip flops so as not to be confused with a homeless person... Ahem...anywhoooo....I'm still trying to weed these out...like the black shoes up top...they're now out. I think...:rolleyes1

The white/red flips? Are they really necessary? Well, they DO go with the white/red outfit(s) I've got packed. So? Well, they're small and don't take up much room...losing the popularity race, believe it or not, is the red Crocs:eek: I know! I can't believe I said it either. I love 'em...they're so comfy, but...they look like clown shoes on my feet! There! I said it!:headache:

Ok, so I'll leave the shoes for now...on to Michael's things.

First I made all his outfits up...pretty much the same I did for my clothes...
006-1.jpg

Now when I lay out Michael's clothes, I go through my calendar and mark up the gallon sized Ziploc bags that his clothes will go into. That way, in the morning I can get him ready to go in an instant and focus on more important things. Like ME for example!!:goodvibes

So after I "bag 'em and tag 'em"...then I loaded up his suitcase...
007-1.jpg

So I have us "out of the way", but I still have to pack a bag for the hotel we're staying at the night before too! With that done, I put the suitcases aside and go through my extra stuff that I'm bringing down...things like coffee, creamer, etc...
005-2.jpg

Michael's camera, my camera charger, candles, etc...UGH...I hate terrorists. If I didn't have to check my shower bag, I'd have plenty of room for this carp!

Ah well...smile and wave, boys...smile and wave...:wave2:

So now I've got next weekend pretty much free for myself. Little odds and ends, things like that, but now that I've got this done, I can be a beach bum until it's time to go!!:beach:

Oh, speaking of "time to go"...I tried (desperately) to explain FDM to Tony this morning...I was greeted with a completely blank stare for my troubles... He just doesn't get it. Called it creative accounting.

I give up.

If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand...:sad2:

So I have to work on my LGMH's...I haven't done that yet...YAY! A project!:rotfl2:

Ok, I'm outta here...later gators!!:grouphug:

LOL me too V! :happytv:

LL glad to hear Michael's getting better, sending vibes that he'll be good to go for trip time. :wizard:

OMG LL, now that is some packing and organization! I must say I've never seen a suitcase packed that way, veeerrry interesting, I just might have to try that.

Lots of questions tonight...

How does the vertical packing system hold up to wrinkling? 'Cause I'm looking at it and thinking this makes SO much sense! :thumbsup2

Are those Celery colored Crocs, or is the color distorted online? Thye look so cute!

Tell me, are those SWEATPANTS I see in Michael's pile? :faint: You know it's like 1000 degrees down here now, right?! ;)

I love your new luggage - so cute!
