Will the new Mona area in EPCOT have any rides ? Or is it just a walking tour ?

I like the idea it will help people learn to conserve water
But an interactive area or ride would be good - like living in the land
What about calling it Living with Water ! :)

We have seen patents and concept art for Moana-themed rides, so hopefully there are some coming in the future! But Journey of Water is more like a Moana- and water-themed nature trail.

Tour is a generous description.

This will be a glorified water play area for kids.
Did it mention play areas for kids? I was under the impression it was water features (waterfalls, small bodies of water, etc) not play area for kids to like run and jump in the water. Nothing in any description says a water play area for kids. It's a walking trail similar to what you would see in Animal Kingdom animal trails as far as I know. It's been pretty much a snoozefest in interest since it was announced because it's lack of features.

My understanding is that it is meant to be an interactive water exhibit. I personally think this is a good thing--Disney needs more activities for kids who need to blow off energy. Standing in lines all day isn't easy as an adult, I can only imagine how tough it is for an excited and overstimulated kid.

I do hope though since it is interactive and water-based, that they install a drying station as well (I know they have them at Universal near their log flume rides but you have to pay, ew) Personally, the parts of Disney that I remember most fondly are the interactive areas of EPCOT that aren't there anymore--World of Motion, ImageWorks, and even the jumping fountains were captivating to me. But hey, that's just my personal opinion! I know plenty of other people love Disney solely for the rides, or food, or entertainment, etc.

If it's not interactive at all, I'm fairly confused by what it's going to be. The space where they are putting it is not THAT big compared to the space where they have the nature trails in AK. If you just walk through quickly while looking at some fountains, it's going to be a pretty short experience, or it's going to get really crowded

Surly they haven’t been building it for 6 years
Im not sure when construction on Moana officialy began but the project was announced in 2017 and they started tearing Epcot up in 2019. So it's been 5 years at least. Still a long time for the whole darn project even taking covid shut downs into account.

Why is the constitution so bad in Epcot anyway, is it all because of this walk through or is there something else there building that Im missing

Fyi those drying stations don’t really dry anything (which makes paying for it even more ew).

They should knock it all down real quick and build something good. They have time before the opening date.

I'm thinking of it like the walking trails at AK, except missing the animals. For all the time they have spent on it, I'm hoping its good.

5 years ! Maybe it took them that long to do all the plumbing for the fountains :)
I am hoping for some sot of a ride - like living in the land - not Nemo (I like the star fish at the end of the ride(
