"The Missing"

DH and I went to see this tonight. It was not my first choice but let me tell you, what a great movie! It is based in New Mexico, one of my favorite places anyway.

I would really recommend this for mid teens to adults as the abduction, some graphic dead bodies and all would be way too much for younger ones. The whole story was beautifully told and acted.

I kind of have a rating system of my own. If I am sitting there making grocery lists in my mind, it is not a good movie. If I am mildly interested but look around at the other people in the theater it is okay to good. If I have no idea who is sitting behind or in front of me and have not thought about anything else the whole movie, it is great. This is a great movie.

And, yes, Ron Howards' brother AND father had small parts in it. LOL.

I wondered about it, I looks good on TV, but I didn't know anyone who had seen it to know if it was any good. Thanks for the heads up!!

I am very excited about seeing this movie... part of it was filmed near where my parents live, the ranch set was built in Valle Grande NM, I saw it this past summer when I went to visit them.
I also love all of Cate Blanchett's work, so I'm sure it will be good!
