The Mile

We only had the mile from elementary school til the end of middle school. thank god we don't do that in high school. I remember, the mile run was one of the most dreaded days ever in elementary school and middle school.

I think I made a thread on this a few weeks ago.
But anyways, to correct myself, I did worse than I stated on my mile

I said I got like 7:06 or something, I really meant like 8:10. Or at least from what I saw in the grade book.

Oops. I'm such a klutz.

And even when I got that, I was pushing myself to extremes. I didn't stop not once, and I ran the whole way.

Yeah, almost threw up after I ran that.

Never again.

But my good average is like 9:30ish.

I used to be able to run it in about 7 minutes...but it's gone up to like 9-10 since I started smoking. :\

I did last year, on a track. My best time was seven something, but i didnt really ever try

They try to have run every other week the mile and we run half a mile every day in PE my best time was 8 something

im really slow my mile is like ten minutes or something i havent ran in a while but i will jump on tread mill later and se how fast i can run it then repost

We run "the mile" every three weeks, every half a trimester.

The stupid thing counts on our grade.
A= <8:00
B= 8:01-9:00
C= 9:01-10:00
D= 10:01-111:00
F= 11:01 - 12:00

You have to retake it if you get over 12 minutes.

We run on the track, unless it's during winter or the weather is bad, then we run in the gym, which makes us do 1/2 a mile but then the time is cut in 1/2.

I usually get a B, like 8:39 is my best time.

we don't run the mile in gym, but if you want play varsity basketball you have to run it in 6 min. So my best time is 6 min.

the last time I ran the mile was in 8th grade. He made me do it on the last day of school because I missed the day we did it in class. I walked the whole thing because I was mad. I think he stopped keeping time at 18 minutes. XD

How rediculous! Your school is terrible. So you would bomb it if you were a slow runner....great.....

Well, last time I did the mile was in 8th grade, maybe begining of this year? I walk the whole way (I can't do much running, health problems) but I can walk it (around the field or track) in 14 minutes. So it's hmmm....I'm not sure how long it takes me to walk a lap. Maybe 3-4 minutes? LOL, yeah, I walk slow (and that's my speed walk!). It's 'cuz I'm short!
