The Middle is driving me crazy

We are here right now and The Middle has been filming at MK for a couple days. It has been crazy. So today we headed to Epcot and now they are filming here!!! Irritating. I'm sure there are lots of things to consider when arranging filming but doing it during a super packed week seems silly.

Is it causing rides/ walkways to be closed down or just the annoying "curiosity factor"? I've never been while anything was filming so I was curious how it was impacting the park they're filming in.

Both. It shuts down rides as they film and areas like the whole area at Gaston or half of Main St. Plus the curiosity factor. Guests don't listen to the CMs who are keeping the area clear so then they are kinda mean yelling at us. Very unDisney-like.

It is impossible to explain the MK crowds yesterday so to then have a major ride close for 2 hours or a huge section of walkway was insane. I've never seen MK like that. I've been chitchatting with fellow guests and many say they come at Christmas and yesterday was worse. It was traumatizing at times in walkways. And MK closed their parking lot so it was at capacity. But they continued letting onsite guests in.

But we managed to have a great time anyway however I'm very disappointed they now are at Epcot with us.

We just did Test Track so if they close that at least it won't matter to me. Bummer for other people though.

You will never believe this but we went to France to eat at the kiosk and the Middle was filming there. So the kiosk was closed. Sigh. We are stalking them I guess, but not on purpose!

 You just can't catch a break! Here's to hoping they aren't in "your" park tomorrow! pixiedust:

Maybe you should ask guest services where they are filming tomorrow so you don't have to be in that park. I mean, there's a 1 out of 4 chance in your favor, but just to be on the safe side...it can't hurt.

Always hated when we had filming at the parks when I was a CM. Nobody listens, and lots of people star-struck. Production trying to get things filmed, rides getting shut down...not fun.

Maybe I will ask. If they are at ToT when we have fp+ I can't even tell you! Lol. And it's nice to hear from a CM. We've had great CMs this time but the ones with The Middle and the ones at the FP+ kiosks are NOT having fun and no training in the world can make their situation better. Poor guys.

It doesn't make one bit of sense for them to film during a spring break week.

Although, I suppose the entire season of mid-March through about mid-April is spring break for school districts all across the country.... so for them to film it probably is limited.

I do hope the rest of your trip is magical and you can avoid the cast and crew and onlookers.

I think TV shows also have a shooting schedule to stick to, so they don't get the option to look at crowd calendars and such. They have to shoot when they have to shoot.

They were at MK this morning too. I didn't see any rides shut down, but definitely filming going on around FL. And lots of people with gear.
