The Middle and/or Modern Family

Like another poster said, I never liked Patricia Heaton. I thought she was shrill and bland. I ADORE her on The Middle. I've always loved the dad, ever since he was on Scrubs. Sue, Brick and Axel are hilarious in their own ways. I adore this show. It has become the one show I cannot miss. I'm so glad my DVR picked up the one that was on last night, as I had never seen it before. I really, really, really hope it is popular enough to last. I've only seen Modern Family once, but I really should make a point of recording it. It won all those awards last year. But the Middle is my favorite. I adore Brick. Thats the kind of son I would want.
But I do relate to Sue. I guess there is a little Sue in all of us. :cutie:

Yes! The universe stops for me on Wednesday nights (except for that 30 minute period between The Middle and Modern Family....wth IS that show???? Ugh).

Modern Family is what The Office used to be...extremely fast and extremely funny. If you cough, you could miss one of the funniest quips or facial expressions on TV in a full year.

The Baby Jesus'.....anyone? OMG, I did not see that coming!! :rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl::lmao::thumbsup2 "I told your secretary to order you a box of those little baby cheeses..." CLASSIC!!!

God I love that show!! I have to save all of the recordings so that I can rewatch them at least once to catch anything I might have missed the first time from laughing too loud...:happytv:

I love Modern Family! I truly think it's one of the best shows on TV, and so easy to relate to. I think my DD13 is the perfect mix of Alex and Haley, so anything those girls do reminds me of her. My favorite line was when Claire embarrassed Alex in front of her friends after she blew her off at the mall...
"Alex, honey, when you're out shopping, you might want to pick yourself up a training bra. I know you don't need one now but your little ****ies are going to come in soon. Mommy loves you, kitten!"

Claire became my hero after that!:lmao:

Ive been hooked on Modern Family since the first episode when I saw Cam bring Lily out in Africa garb to Circle of Life.

Yes, THIS and the box 'o baby jesus! :lmao::cool1::rotfl2:

The Middle is a great show! We are constantly doing the Brick Whisper around here. Sue just tugs at my heart strings, I was dorky teen and the character is so hilarious. I just love her and feel so sorry for her all at once.

In Modern Family Cam and Manny are my favorites. But the Husband, Phil Dunphy reminds me of my husband. One of my favorite bits with him involved Phil trying to Help Luke with a project. Alex was reading a list of ADD symptoms in another room, trying to convice the mom Luke had ADD. Yet as you span around you see the Dad losing attention, digging stuff of shelves in the garage and going nuts. :rotfl2: It reminded me exactly of my husband, the adult ADD poster boy.

The boy who plays Brick has Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Typically, people who have that do not grow to be very tall. OI is the disease that causes bones to break very easily. He is lucky that he has one of the classes of this disease that doesn't cause his bones to break because the wind blew too hard or because someone touched him lightly.

That's interesting about the actor. I didn't know he had OI. So is he much older than the character he plays?
