The messaging portion of the Disney app is terrible

Every time I cruise with Disney I want to get the app Grace but enough is enough. They have this terrible and unreliable. I am with a group of both Android and iOS users and I've stressed that we all use WhatsApp. Half of the time I tried to use the Disney app to send a message and it says something like unable to send or not connected. Meanwhile I use WhatsApp in the message is delivered immediately

I keep forgetting the app has a messaging feature! DH and I usually use it at the start of the cruise then switch to Whatapp.
