The wait for the member number is excruciating! We closed on Feb 8 and I can't wait!! We tried calling today and chose option 3. They actually looked up our contract # but they said it's still showing the previous owner and to try back later in the week. We just want to start booking! Anyone else playing the waiting game right now?

Yes, we closed last week and our deed showed up on the orange county comptroller site today. I was pretty patient though the process so far but now that I know we are so close it is starting to drive me a little crazy that I don't have access.

We closed 2/15 and ours is also on comptroller website. I'm in UK so fear a letter as I think they are meant to send (?) will take some time. Do you think they'll give me the details by calling up, if so when do you think they'll have them? Cheers.

I have heard that some people have been able to access by calling about 2 weeks after the deed was recorded. Don't have any first hand experience of that though.

I'll try a week on Friday.

The earliest we've seen people get their number over the phone is 10 business days. If you closed on the 8th, I'd call this Friday.

I'm going to try again Wednesday and then Friday. I'm on the every other day method. :)
I just rang them up - refused to give me anything without a 'member number' as said I could be anyone and they cannot do anything due to 'security' without the member number as I am in the UK and don't have a US social security number to give. I said I have a contract number but flatly refused to look it up. Can anyone help - otherwise it looks like I am at the mercy of receiving a Disney email with my member number on.

Just got it- rang again, pressed 2 then 3, and had to give some security info such as phone number- points are not in the account yet though as only transferred yesterday apparently, but I am just now getting a activation code to get on the website.

Wow I am really pleased. I am not going this year, but even at 6 months out, end of August (when we go) 2017 I could have booked a 1 bed anywhere including even Grand Floridian.

That was really fast if you just closed on 2/15 and they already had you in the system and got you your number and code.

Maybe I will give them a call today also and see if I have any luck getting mine.

Yes we'll pleased. The whole process took just under 5 weeks from offer to getting access to points today. Just completed the form with Dave to hopefully rent out my 160 banked points from last year which I can't use this year. This will bring my purchase price (less 2017 dues) down to circa $11k including closing with all points from 2017 onward (I'll be banking 2017 into 2018 for my big trip next year). Not bad really, should pay for itself in 3 trips.

With 1 hour I have rented out 101 points- seems demand massively outstrips supply. Is this a record? ;-)

No luck getting mine. They said they had just received the documents yesterday and would take up to 2 weeks to process.

Will try back next week probably.

Hard luck, your closing company must have been slow- is the deed on the Comptroller website?

Yes, it is on the comptrollers website now. Not sure exactly when it showed up there, either last friday or monday, I didnt actually check friday to see if it was there but I know it was there by monday
