There is a hotel on airport property that you can walk to or take the shuttle. It is a Marriot hotel. I hope this helps

I have a really stupid question: I included our air w/DCL but have no information on flights, times etc. My reservation says "Red Eye". When will I get the specifics or was I supposed to call them again? I feel really stupid but we've never traveled outside of US and figured having them do it would be easier and TA said to book through them because rates were higher trying to book seperate. We're on the June 6 - 10 night!

"Red Eye" just means it will be an overnight flight . . . you probably won't fin dout your exact flight numbers and times until much closer to June, but your travel agent can let you know when the info is available.

I have never traveled anywhere I need to take a passport too. So I have been doing my share of freaking out as well. I am sure everything will be fine!! I really can't wait!!

There is a Marriott on the airport property, but it is not attached. There are shuttles which will take you to the hotel. This Marriott is a very nice one. There are also several hotels along Route 1 with shuttle service, however most are old and crappy. I live in the area and hold several meetings in Newark hotels, so if you want advice on a specific hotel, I would be more than happy to share my opinion.

I tried to access specific port information on the Med ports of call section on DCL site, and received "page not found" errors. I can navigate other sections, so maybe they are adding excursions?

Now 4.p.m. here in UK and still getting error when I try and access any of the ports of call. Do now get a little map with the magic sailling around the different ports but you cannot watch that all the time.

Anyone had any luck yet?

Just to add to the anticipation a bit....
I, too, was getting internal server errors when I tried to go to port detail.

However, I did a little detective work and by going into another port's excursion page (I used Antigua), I tried editing the URL and replaced "Antigua" with the Med port names. All came up blank for me... except Palermo.

Palermo's page had the following nonsense latin text: "FPO. PalermoShoreExcursionLandingCon. DetailedDescription. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Nam non neque vel metus suscipit varius. Ut eu tortor ut sapien bibendum faucibus. Aliquam pretium. Sed id eros. Aliquam dapibus, lectus."

While the text itself is not meaningful, it's being used as a placeholder of sorts and the true info is indeed on it's way.

I just got off the phone with a supervisor at DCL who said that the release of the excursions has been moved back to the middle of the month, no exact date yet. So I will keep on waiting!

As much as I would like to see the excursions also, I wasn't expecting them until March or so. I only heard today that they were supposedly going to be released today. So I guess waiting 2 more weeks isn't so bad.

The dollar has been very weak against the pound and other currencies this might effect the costs of these trips.
