The Meanest Mother in the World--A L-B TR, 5/05 *DONE. p.65, with one last pic*

Great, great installments, Kim. Sydney does look like such a baby in those pictures! (Well, I was hoping that was the case when you said you carried her in a sling!) She is still beautiful, though :goodvibes

I can just feel the "freedom" you felt alone in Epcot, as much as I can feel the pull back "home" to your loved ones. I also love the stories people share of one on one time with their kids. It's one of the great things about vacations, especially those at WDW!!

Your Nana stories cracked me up. As does your convoluted memory! Do you mean to tell us that you are writing this without notes????

Less than a week, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only notes I have are my pho-toes. Sadly. Or not, because imagine how long this report would be if I HAD notes?!?!?!?!? ((shudder))

From now on, I'll be taking notes. Of conversations, and the smaller details. That's what I feel like is missing here.

Little Kimmie has been busy this weekend ;)

Are you going to have enough time to pack and finish this TR? :teeth:

J-Dub, for that comment, I will set myself on fire for you. pixiedust:

And, you one of the Vikings with a Canon S2 IS? I am having a trouble. Getting my computer to talk to it. (A PM consult, please?)

grimgrinnin -- WOW!!! Has the baby been born yet? Be sure to come back and post a pic when she arrives. Piper Sidney. Wow. I wish I had thought of the anagram thing. :) Congrats on your impending baby. Definitely bring her over here, ok??

Piper Sidney was born September 20th at 1:00AM. 8 pounds, 8 ounces. Everyone is healthy, and we are just thrilled!

Sorry Kim, mine is a Nikon. But does the computer recognize the camera when you plug it in (I assume to a USB port) and turn on the camera?

I strolled back toward World Showcase, on the Canada side. Off Kilter was playing. I stopped and watched for a bit. I love me some men in kilts. Doug has one, though he hasn’t worn it since our wedding. We had bagpipes and everything, too. That was our compromise. He didn’t want a Catholic wedding, I didn’t want a Scottish wedding. So we compromised and had both. It was really lovely, actually. And, our friends tell us, the best party they’ve ever been to. And, as Doug tells me regularly, the reason that it took us three years of marriage before we could afford to buy a house.
Oh, Kimmie - Just had to say that I love me some OFF KILTER!!!!!!! Men in kilts. And men with brogues (I realize that not all the OK guys have accents, but they do all wear kilts). Yummy! I think I have all their CDs. The live one is the best. In May, on the day that I was at Epcot on my own, I listened to all of their performances (no, I wasn't the only groupie to do that that day!).

There is a consultant that I work with who is Scottish. We NEVER have any trouble getting the women in our work group to participate in conference calls and meetings with him! Unfortunately, I can't get DH to do his Scotty from Star Trek impression for me very often any more. ;)

Congrats Grimgrinin! What a beautiful baby! :thumbsup2

Congratulations, Grimgrinnin! Oh my, she is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell me, how did you choose the name Piper?

What wonderful news for your family!

Thank you so much for sharing her here!

Aw, I ran out of TR! Better than running out of TP, but still not good. I started reading at work last night - great thing about the night shift, plenty of time to read TRs - and just got through with the most recent chapter.

Not only is your TR good reading in general, it's funny AND grammatically correct (go English teachers!).

The kids are absolutely adorable! I'll be going next May with my entire family including my neice who will be a month short of four, so reading through this gives me a good general idea of what to expect.

Keep it up, I'm lovin' it over here!

KIM! I am thrilled to know about the barbers! Ok, I sorta knew but I've just always huried on by....That is a must do next time!

Your sweet little baby girl is just precious! She is the opposite of my 2 yr old!
Dont you just love the alone time?! Oh Baby, even though my alone time involves a toddler, it's just the greatest.

Glad to see you're almost done....because I want all the juicy details of this next trip! Are you 'bout ready?

Grim! That is one cute little Pipper girl! Congratulations!

More detailed? You would never finish the report then. :scratchin Never? That would be great! :rotfl: :sunny: Yeah, please take notes!

BTW, i think your writing skills are admirable. I really like the details, the pics, the way you incorporate (hope that's the right word in this context!?) your thoughts and reflections and of course your conclusions!

Your little princess is so adorable! Sigh! Now i'm thinking about stopping to finish my degree and to do a job training to become a hairdresser at WDW or something like that. Wanna have such cute customers.

Or a popcorn-seller popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: at the disboards. :teeth:
Can't wait to read more!!!

Congratulations :cheer2: grimmgrinnin!

OOOOH LOOOOK!!!!! (Yes this is what I was saying out loud at work, until I realized that I'm not supposed to be on here anyway, and no one could come over to look :sad2: )

Congrats!!! I almost touched the screen when I saw these pictures. Babies are always soooo warm and smell soooo good . . .awwwww . . . . have fun with Piper! :tiptoe: (Hope I didn't wake the baby):tiptoe:

What a cutie getting her first hair cut! :cutie: She is so adorabale, and what an exciting way to get it done for the first time!

Love this trip report, can't wait to read the rest and then get onto the new one once you get back!

Kimmie,

When you took a picture of your DD by a lightpole at MK, my eyes misted up. That's where I take my DD's picture when we go to the MK. You can really see how they grow. (Too fast! LOL)

I'm glad you are enjoying your little ones while you can.

Marie

just have to say that all your kids are darling.......but the hair-cut pho-toes... precious!!!!
