The May 2007 Rate/Code Watch

I can't wait until my May trip! My DBF and I are staying at CSR May 16-26! Just booked my air fare and bought tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba in DD! Has anyone seen the show? I'd love to get some opinions on it! I am just waiting on an AP discount....hopefully coming soon!!!

Just subscribing to this thread, would like to stay at an epcot resort if possible. Wishing everyone luck!!!

Subscribing and wondering about the ZFC code? What kind of code is it and is it any code for saving a few $ for a may trip:) . Thanks in advance.

We booked room only in December at POP for $99.00 a night for our May 1-5 stay. I just called Disney and got THE BEST cm. By canceling our POP reservations, then rebooking the reservations and adding tickets (that we would have bought anyway) the total came to $1200.00 (4 nights hotel and 4 three day hoppers). I am very pleased but hate to admit that I am one that always thinks that there is a better deal out there somewhere!

Also, we were able to book on Delta from Norfolk VA to Orlando non-stop for $98 per person round trip. For those flying out of VA definitely try Norfolk!

Just wanted to let you know you may want to buy tickets for your entire stay. Your paying $884 for 3 day PH. A four day is $912 and a 5 day is $916.
Another option is to purchase a 10 day no expiration. Since you are only using 3 days this trip you would have 7 days left over for a 2nd or possible 3rd trip. It would cost $1566 for the 4 of you.

Thanks, you seem to answer alot of my questions lately :goodvibes . I'm crazy I'm now pricing May over Memorial day instead of going in the Fall :confused3 .

Rates go up for Summer Season May 24! For the mods, this is $10/night. We're arriving May 23, saving us $100 over our 10 night stay:goodvibes Just another way to save a few dollars :)

I am planning our first visit to WDW. Checking in night of May 25 and checking out June 1st. Any tips for a first visit? I am finding that with an odd number in our group (5), it is hard to find a cheaper room. Thanks!

Definitely plan your days. Disney is so huge that it can be overwhelming for first timers :) I planned atleast what park we were going to for each day of our trip based on crowd level stats and park times and also made some dining reservations. Checking out dining reviews on allearsnet might help you in deciding where to eat. There are a ton of reviews right here on the boards too. I've stayed at Port Orleans (which ever one used to be Dixie Landings...not sure if it's french quarter or riverside now), All Star Sports, and Coronado Springs Resort. All of the resorts were amazing! There is not a bad place on site. CSR was my favorite resort by far though! I'm not sure if they offer bigger rooms...but I'm sure you could ask for a cot for your fifth person in a standard size room at any hotel which would save you some cash!! Enjoy your first Magical Vacation!!! hehe I'm such a disney dork!

Can someone answer a question for me?

We have a package that includes POP Century and the dining plan. We got the code that recently came out applied to our trip.

If the AP rates come out and they are really good, would I have to forfit the dining plan and the code to use toe AP rate, or can I have both? I don't care about the code as much as the dining plan!

Sorry to say it is AP rate or DDP (as DDP requires a package purchase)

You will have to forfeit the dining plan to use the AP rate. In very rare instances I've seen great room rate deals that included the dining plan, but it doesn't happen often.

We saw the show last year. It was awesome! :thumbsup2 It was definitely worth the ticket price. The performances are just so different from anything you've seen before. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't go into details. You will enjoy it!

If you are a AAA member, & you purchase a package through your agent, you can get still get the DP with the AAA discount. However, you will need to purchase a 1 day park ticket for each person. I was told that the unused park ticket can be put toward the renewal of your AP. Don't know if that's true or not. I know the AAA discount is not as much as the AP, but it might worth checking it out. :confused3

Disney will give one discount, unless you are using AAA as already has been stated. In Nov 2005 I had 3 Savannah View rooms on the Annual Pass discount, when I figured the discount that I was getting, we could buy a lot of food. It was cheaper for me to take the room discount and buy the food. I was paying for 7 adults, 2 children to eat too.

The DDE card can save you some money too, if you go that route.

Hello all. I have been lurking for a while but I finally decided to join in on the discussions. We are planning a trip for May 8 -May 15. We are staying at POR. We had ressies on hold through AAA with their discount when I found the ZFC offer. Can I get the AAA discounted room rate in addition to ZFC or do I have to choose. I seem to be getting conflicting advice.
Any info in appreciated. Thanks!!

I believe you can only get one discount. We had booked 3 nights at POR using the AAA rate. When the code came out, our TA looked at the options and determined that by applying the code it would actually save us an additional $135 - so we went that route of course. I think if you are staying at a deluxe resort, the savings is greater with AAA than the code. Ask your TA to work up prices both ways!
