The May 2007 Rate/Code Watch

The best deal we've had so far is back in May of 2004 which was the "buy four days get three free"....whoopee!! I wish, wish, wish that would come back for next May!!! pixiedust:

Yes, yes....If anyone gets that kind of info, please share. That would be so great for us. More money to spend shopping, lol. :cool1:

The buy 4 days, get 3 free deal - was that just on the park tickets or for your hotel stay also?

That was a Package (room and tickets); the next year, they did a Package: Buy 5, get 2 free - not as generous, but a great deal nonetheless! (That was when we fell in love with WL!)

CSR Is a great resort! My DB and I stayed there on our last trip in May! The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot to do around the resort. Its the only mod resort with a fitness center, it has a themed pool which is great for the kids and a few quiet pools, really efficient bus service, and an awesome lobby and food court area. I highly recommend the resort! The only thing that is a slight negative is that it's large, so it requires a good deal of walking. My DB and I love to work out so the walking was actually really nice, especially at night around the lake! O ya, you can also rent boats at the marina!

when you went last may what were the crowds and waits like ?
we are going may 5 -12
thanks

Should we make our room ressies now for May 2007? I am assumming they
would require a deposit. If they do offer a special promotion, AP, or package,
would they then change our existing reservation? Does anyone remember
the time of year/month the discounts came out for May 05 or 06?

Went early May this year and it was awesome! Hope to go again next MAY.

can you give some details about line lengths and waits
how about the crowds?
we are going may 5-12-07
thanks

The crowds weren't that bad. Definitely bearable(sp?..it just doesn't look right lol). I've been in May and July and early April. Early April was less busy than May..you just have to make sure you don't go during April vacation week. July was extremely hot...much too uncomfortable..and super busy! May was a great time to go and CSR seemed practically empty when we were there! I think it's because the hotel is so spread out!

When we went in May 04, a great package deal came out in October for Disney Visa cardholders. I am trying to hold out until October to see what happens, but I'm getting antsy as well. There's always the AAA discount, but I'm hoping for better!

I have a disney visa too! Never used it, just have it for the hopeful
discounts! (we leave it with our adult children, who :dog: paw: :dogdance:
sit for their canine siblings, in case of an emergency) In fact, I brought it
up to the computer tonight, scouring for discounts! :surfweb:

We have booked for May 07, at WL and POR, and the agents look for the codes or special rates as the come out and will change your booking if the deal is better than your current one. We are using MagicForless. I figure that it is best to pay a deposit now and at least have the resort that you want.

we went thru AAA
package requires 200 dollar deposit
I was told not to wait
we made reservations last week
I am hearing some types of rooms are already unavailable for may
if a better offer comes out {say from disney} my AAA will apply whichever one saves us the most money

do they have ice machines in the hotels ?
thinking about getting refillable mugs ??
is there a certain room area in the casitas where you can see fireworks ?
we requested top floor
thanks

Yes, I tried to play with the cost figures on the WDW site and it wouldn't allow me to do so for May. It showed nothing was available for ASMo.
This could mean many things... That we May vacationers are getting closer. :woohoo: It's going to be packed :bitelip: and/or you can still get a good deal by calling waiting it out?
We're getting closer!!!!

We are also going in May!! Does anyone have any flight advice, since there are 7 of us going we need to find something decent. So far nothing is looking grea! Does anyone no when SW will start booking in May??

I thought this might be helpful to people pricing.

I just came back from AAA where I got some price quotes;

quote 1= ASMu, for 7 days, MYW (w/ hopper)+ DDP, 4 adults, 1 room standard
=2,702.92 ($675 person)

quote 2= ASMu, for 7 days, MYW + (w/ hopper)+ DDP, this time only 2 adults in one standard room.
= 1,569.02 ($784 person)

I dont think thats to bad considering we're all recent college grads and have a tight budget. We're two couples so we will prolly opt for the 2 rooms.

I wish it were May!!! :goodvibes

I have been checking Jet Blue often and they have sporadic sales that look really good.

I'd be leaving from Boston and they had $69 one way specials recently so I'm going to keep looking! They seem to have the best prices overall. The regular price for the same, Boston to Orlando is $119.

Yes

Do you drink alot of pop (or soda depending on your geographic location) and/or coffee? (you can also get hot chocolate and icees too) It is a good souviner too, I use mine alot at home and it reminds me of WDW :cloud9:
