The Matterhorn is open!

After being closed for many months, Matterhorn Bobsleds is now open once again! According to the app, it’s open — two minutes after rope drop with a ten-minute wait time. Woo hoo! Hope it’s still open on Sunday!

I think there was some substantial ride refurb going on as well. I recall seeing scaffolds on the mountain.

We rode it this morning. Absolutely nothing about the ride has changed-definitely no updates. The entire closure was for queue “improvements.” They did the planters beautifully, but the area feels more crowded.

Oh, and FYI, the fastpass scanners are new and different than any other at DLR. We had to stick our pass into a little slot/cranny at the bottom of the machine.

They have started swapping out the machines with the new scanner thing recently where the return was in the sun. Small world had them as well.

We arrive right after Thanksgiving, so I can count on more cushion added to MY seat! "Hey, this ride feels great!"

These type of scanners are already in use at It’s A Small World and they don’t work with my wallet folio case. It is too thick when folded around to show the screen.

We tried to ride a couple times yesterday and it was down both times we stopped by and during our FP return time (which converted to a ME pass)

The ride is the same. They worked on outside improvements, different queue and the like.
