the matching t shirt thing

I get the whole matching shirt thing but I certainly wouldn't do it...doubt I could get DH to either! He and I actually have a few identical Dr. Who shirts and we specifically didn't wear them on the same day at DL. :)

If I had a whole bunch of young kids, I'd not only put them in matching shirts, I'd probably dress them identically from head to toe! :earboy2::earboy2::earboy2::earboy2::earboy2:

I saw a family all dressed in the same hockey jersey (Canucks, actually, the family turned out to be from a city 2 hrs north of us!) I thought this was a great way for the parents to find the kids, for the kids to find their parents, and for CM's or other adults to automatically identify which parents the kids belong to if they get separated, since they're all on the same team! Also, it's so much easier to find your kids if they're not wearing disney clothing and blending in with all the other children.

we did it, it was just my husband, me and our son. Our son liked it. He is autistic so he likes things matching and he really was tickled pink by it.
Also it is easier for our son to spot us should god forbid we be temproarily separated or something.

We usually pick a style. Like villains, heros, favorite Disney character. We build the shirts from scratch and add our name on the back. DH loves it, kids love it and I think it's fun! They're all different, but concept is same "type" of shirt. Good times :cool1:

We did it instead of actual Halloween costumes when we went to the party last Halloween. Black shirts with Happy Halloween on it along with other iron on patterns and pictures. We though we looked great and had many people ask us where we could purchase them in the park. :rotfl: Funny considering they all had our names on them (all 6 of us).

Normally no, I would not do the matching shirts just to do them but to each their own. I think families look like lots of fun when they do.

We don't do matching shirts but did do the Seven Dwarfs at the Halloween party last year :) I like seeing the families though..it's fun. My favorite group last trip was a bunch of "who's" Thing 1, Thing 2, Mom Thing, Dad Thing. We do drag out our Disney shirts though.

We do, and truth behold I have seen lots of things int he parks that look worse than a family matching :lmao:

I didn't think DH would go for it, and when I was explaining he didn't seem to thrilled...HOWEVER once we got there he didn't complain...and the next year when I asked he wanted to do it again...

We are planning on doing it again on our next trip...I am sure at some point the kids will get too old and resist, then we'll do something different if needed :)

I often dress my girls the same/similar in the parks. They love it, and would be thrilled if I joined in with them (the closest I get is a t-shirt w/ a similar theme). They have Jack skellington jumpers, pink Minnie skirts, and red Mickey skirts/jumpers (DD5 has jumper DD7 has skirt). Sometimes their shirts match, but more often than not, they differ.
