The March 2014 Thread!!!!

My fear, too! After two weeks of calm weather, we're supposed to get snow Saturday night - with an 8am flight on Sunday!

Getting worried too! Supposedly we're getting a wintry mix on Sunday. Our flight's at 1. I just want to get out on time!!

To all of those traveling within the next week I am sending you some for sure and safe travels. I am praying (selfishly) that the weather is calm next Sunday when we are supposed to leave.

I leave in 5 days! At this point, I dont care if it rains, I dont care about all the people who are saying they hate the FP+ and the Magic Bands are hot, etc. I dont care if I have to stand in a line once in a while because I will be at Disney and I wont be here and I wont be working and I wont be stressed.

Just 7 glorious days with my beautiful daughter, riding rides, seeing shows and eating as many snacks as we can eat! LOL! Turning the phone off and going to SLOW DOWN and enjoy!

Starting to pack today - first thing I am bringing is patience and a positive attitude. I think that will go a long way towards having a wonderful trip!

Love your positive attitude! I feel the same way! We got our magic bands yesterday!

25 more days! Actually 26 more until we check in at POR, but we are leaving the day before and driving down. Can't wait!!

As I'm reviewing my plans - ADRs, FP+, studying the park maps for the 1000th time today I'm got a giggle remembering a man I came across on our last trip over Labor Day weekend 2013. We were coming back to the hotel for an afternoon nap/swim and he walks out the door at AoA and asks the first cm he sees, "which one is the one with the castle?" the cm incredulously replies, "magic kingdom?" His response, "yes!, now do I get there?" He was standing very neat the MK bus stop so the cm just pointed.

As stressful as all the planning and prepping can sometimes be...we can all be assured there are still people who just show up without a plan. Even if you feel unprepared (how I'm feeling with two days left...I should start packing soon, right?) there are still plenty of folks with no plan at all.

I'm having a panic attack about the potential weather up here for this weekend. If it gets really bad, I know I will have some kind of nervous breakdown kind of like this: I really need to pray that it's nothing.

Wife and I leave on the 16th for a week of no kids and worries at POP!! Can't wait to get out of Maine for awhile! Magic bands are already packed and so are most of our clothes!!! Just hope crowds are not too bad, we usually go in February . But got a great price on hotel and park tickets so it can't to busy this year if they are offering discounted prices, right?!? Lol!!! Just gonna go and relax at our pace and won't even notice the crowds, wanna get lost with my wife!!!! Hope all have a safe and fun trip!!! See ya all there!

(OK, that should be Crunch time, but I'm a Who Dat, so...)
36 hours, give or take, 'til departure. Time to start doing all the stuff others have been doing for a couple of weeks now... Packing, preparing the electronics (Cameras, Phones, Laptop, ooh, we got a new Kindle does that need anything?) etc.
I've got a shopping list, which I JUST NOW remembered about, to pick up on the way home.
Leaving work early tomorrow for final packing and staging. Getting up normal time Saturday, but actually getting MOVING and packing the Jeep to get on the road as early as practical. (Love those early morning Eastbound drives ugh )
Check in at Cocoa Beach Saturday night, meet the FL-resident family on Sunday for a visit to KSC, and then hop over to Caribbean Beach for 6 nights.

Big question is, what will we forget? Oh well, we'll find out on the beach, I guess.

TOMORROW!!!

Flying out of NOLA tomorrow and will be in Orlando by the afternoon. Planning to head to MK tomorrow evening after we're settled in the townhouse. I'm still concerned about my leg... (had laser vein surgery in Jan and a 2nd procedure just last week) I think I can handle the walking but I'm not sure about standing still for long periods. Doc said it would be fine but I'm still bruised and have some swelling. It is what it is.... if I need a wheelchair so be it.

Today it's finishing packing and getting the house in order. DISNEY TOMORROW!!

Less than an hour away from WDW! Staying at Buena Vista Palace and Spa tonight, then checking into POR tomorrow. Soooo excited!

Headed to OKW from the 28th to April 2! Celebrating my daughter's birthday during the kids' spring break! After this awful winter and a bunch more snow coming this weekend, I can't wait!

Not long to go at all

We are into single digits today. Just booked FP+ for the new Festival of Fantasy parade on 13th March and La Nouba tickets for 12th March

Will be picking up my $$$ on Monday after work and then we will be into the 1-week countdown.
