The Mansion has been officially cleaned out!

Ok for all who want to know how to do this. Here is how it works and it might take some practice before you get some really high scores.

First you have to get a good room like the one pictured below.

53560_Ghost_Room_1a_122_1083lo.JPG

Any rooms that have more than 1 coffin side by side will work good, but for maximum scoring the ones with the side by side coffins enclosed with tables is the best. If you look at the red markings I put on the picture you will see you are enclosed in a little area and if 2 of you go in there together you can clean house. Now you can't be on the same team, you must have 1 green person and 1 purple. The trick is to really click those arrow keys. Left side, front, right side, front, left side. Just keep doing it as fast as you can.

Also make sure to change the player beside you if they turn into a ghost, because if you don't, you will be turning into a ghost very soon yourself. And when you turn into a ghost, your ghosts start escaping that little area and now you have to chase them down. Who cares who wins if you can each make over 1000 credits a game.

Now you won't be able to do this in all the rooms, some rooms have coffins with 1 table beside them, some have none. The worst rooms are the ones with single coffins every where.

The picture above is is probably the best room and there is another that looks just like this with 3 coffins side by side. If you are playing with 3 or more people and get the 3 coffin room, line up in that same area but make sure line up like this(green, purple, green or purple, green, purple). Don't put 2 players of the same color side by side, because you cannot turn each other back from being a ghost.

Also in the picture above, if 4 people are playing use both areas 2 on the front set and 2 on the back set.
Hope this helps.

We understand the process believe me, we are asking for a shot of credits to calculate actual ghosts vs changes.

I do not think you cleaned the mansion. As you can clearly see in the image below Jumangi and I were kicked out of the mansion few months ago for getting too many ghosts in 2 round and we did not need paint!!! :scared1: And for all who are curious the master win! Rob bows down to the ghost master.:worship:

There is no paint in this picture!

Or you can play the right way and not worry about who you are playing against or what room you are playing in or how many coffins are lined up in the room and in 2-3 round playing 1 on 1 make a 1000 credit which is what most good players do with no problem. Also those extra credits for wins add up nicely and who can resist the orange crate every round. Getting 100 real ghosts is not that hard if you just practice and do not give up!!!:thumbsup2

I did not take a screen shot of that on that game, but I did get somewhere in the 1300's.

So around 130 ghosts in actual ghosts, thats is still really good. This can really only be accomplished your way if you have a willing partner but it's all good credits.

Yes, I can make 100 ghosts playing your so called right way but the instructions say you get double for catching the other person so I guess our way is still the right way. I did'nt make the game, I just revised it for making credits just like the people who play friendly pirates

Plus we don't have to deal with people quitting on us when we are winning, or listen to their foul mouth dictionary dancing, or get stuck in a game with someone who does'nt even know how to catch the ghosts, and we can make up alot of credits in no time at all. So I consider my way the right way!

I just want to say that after 2 years of trying to grasp the mechanics of this game, the mere thought of making 1000 credits in a game of ghosts seems less likely than winning the lottery.

Getting 100 real ghost is VERY hard, even with practice. And I never give up.

I have been trying my little heart out at ghosts so that I can try to get some orange crates, which without the help of some friends who have played with me for days, I would still have none.

I guess my point is, it IS a difficult game for some, myself included. Even when I try and try and try.

lol green got more than purple and purple still won!!!!
that happens to me alot, i get more and the other team wins

if you are talking about winning the game not the round, the reason is the winner of the game is the best out of three rounds. If your player wins the first round, and the other the second, and then they also win the third round, they are the winner even if you have a higher total then they do. The winner of the game is based on rounds won not total ghosts caught.

Actually when you are really good there are many other players who want to play against you all the time so you are not getting many who will quit. I have played Mansion for a long time except I took few months off completely from VMK recently. I play against any willing player and have not seen more than 10 players using bad language. Respect is earned not expected. I find regular mansion players very nice and the reason I come back to play. I get about 20 friend request a day in mansion as I am sure so are other players. 80% of my friends are mansion players. People I played with who became my friends because of our love for this game.
My concern is the kids who will read this will start playing like that and will not be able to pass future quests as the requirement is the number of actual ghosts and not how many ghosts were cought. Also, as we all know cleaning other players does not add to your total credit earned. You mentioned you make a 1000 credit every game so there is not much difference in credit earned. The difference is my computer is happier and will last longer. LOL

Woot for great friends!

However we play is right for us lol. Ghosts is my favorite game and my best way of making credits. I can play your so called right way and rack up on credits also, but that is only if I am playing another good player. When playing poor players (no offense to them because I was a poor player also) the room fills with their ghosts and I have to really work to get credits. Or if you are winning they quit and then same thing happens and of course you don't win because other player left. Or you have to listen to them cuss and fuss. On days I am not hurting for credits I help new players learn to play or I help people to win if they are on quest. But I can't do this all the time, sometimes I would just like to play to be playing and make some credits. And if we have found a way to change up the game to have some more fun why you want to rain on our parade. We were just giving helpful tips to some that might want to change it up a bit.
Brother and I can't always play together so any good players out there want a game let me know.

I believe both ways are "right" ways to play but I really do agree with Gas here. Maybe it is the time of day but sometimes when I start playing mansion, I'll have a bunch of people quit on me. There may be a few who are DCing but often times it happens when people don't play so well. Also, I prefer playing 1 on 1 because more people causes lag for me but sometimes before you can click "Start Game," someone joins at the last minute making the teams uneven. I've had people say that I was a cheater by doing that because it leaves them as just 1 person playing against 2 (and, in my opinion, that's actually better to get more ghosts) and they quit the game. Plus, when I'm playing with people I don't know, when I turn into a ghost and go to be unghosted, the other player will just bypass me and so it wastes my time.

On days I am not hurting for credits I help new players learn to play or I help people to win if they are on quest. But I can't do this all the time, sometimes I would just like to play to be playing and make some credits.

I think this is great. I do the same thing when I have the time to just play mansion only for fun. When I start games with players who don't know how to play, I have to tell them to not go to the other color ghost or to press the ctrl key. I've also lost game after game to let someone rack up extra credits with the bonuses when she needed to save money to buy the blue princess outfit. But there are times, as delicious said, that one can't do this all the time. When you have a limited amount of time to play, you want to just play with someone you know will help you get a lot of credits.

If I have a chance to sign on during the day, I play with anyone in the lobby (and yes, recently I've made a bunch of friends who are also great mansion players so it's always fun to meet up with them). However, at night when HowWeird and I have finished our work and can both sign onto VMK, we prefer playing against each other because we're guaranteed games with credits ranging from 800-1000. It's still really fun to play but we're also playing knowing that we're there to get credits to buy all the new Halloween stuff! Sometimes we do the coffin shaking when it's possible, like Gas explained, and other times we just play the other "right" way. Either way we do it, we get our credits!

Woot for great friends!

I am glad you have lots of friends to play ghosts with. But my friends prefer pirates ( a game I am getting better at but not good enough to make good credits yet) As I said ghosts is my favorite game and I go to the lobby and play anyone that wants to play. In doing this I end up with lots that quit in the first round, and they love telling you they quit. Or I have to listen to the endless fussing (I think some of the pirate players have moved to ghosts lol so they can cuss and fuss) So in my opinion if you are playing with friends then you do not have the same experience as playing with just anyone and you are not seeing the new trend of cuss, fuss and quit. I am glad for you. And the comment about respect is earned not expected, I think you are wrong here. I expect people to follow vmk values and not cuss and fuss during a game. Yes I expect that!!
As for the kids reading this: This is a fun way to make fast credits but you still need to practice and play without using this technique. Also, this technique cannot be used on every game in every room. It is random that you get a room that allows you to do this. So continue to practice and have fun too.

i know i was just saying how annoying it is and that i feel cheated out of a win

I've been playing mansion for a long time as well, and I play with both friends and strangers. I've not really had this problem as you describe, so I'm curious if you talk at all to others in the game and what your in-game attitude is like. :goodvibes I always say "gl :)" at the start of a game and always offer to help if someone looks as though they need help.

I don't know why this would make you feel cheated. It cannot be done with only one person involved. two players have to decide to do this together. This was not posted as a how to thread, brother was just laughing and took pic and decided to post it, but since so many negative people decided to post making it sound like pic was doctored we had to prove what we were doing. Brother and I were playing this way together, we were not playing this way with unsuspecting people. It was our game of two.

I am there to play and not chat, but we always say gl at beginning of game. and as I stated before I help people that do not know how to play or are doing quests. but just idle chit chat is not my game play. i will chat outside of game not in game. Until about two months ago I did not see the cuss and fuss people in the ghost game, but lately it seems to be the going thing.

I dont think there is a wrong way to play. I think many of us (OK I was) just wanted to see how they did it ROFL. However anyone wants to play is there business. I can tell you if I see a room set up the way they had it I personally would charge the coffins ROFL.

Practicing is one thing, but 100 ghosts in a single round? 1 on 1? I dont think its possible without doing it the way they are. If anyone would like to show me I am available ROFL. I think some people dont realize it was a single round they are doing it in.

Its all fun no matter how you do it.
