The Man Thread

Geesh, the man thread has turned into more of a "I wish I was a man" thread. Next someone will post a pic of their pink tents with matching flower boxes.

Real men sleep in the dirt with a rock as a pillow, and the stars as a blanket. Real men also smoke two packs of Marlboro a day, eat bacon at every meal and wash it down with a canteen of moonshine, and say things like "WOMAN...Rub mah feets!"......this is why their aint a whole lotta "real men" around anymore, they're all dead from hypothermia, lung cancer, heart attacks, liver failure, and/or midnight pillow suffocation!!! Here's to real men:drinking1 :drinking: :smokin:

Yep, very few of us still around.

Excuse me, the wife is screaming something about a toilet seat being left up again. I keep telling her to look before flopping down. She'll learn one day.

daaaang....that hurt!! I guess ya done found me out:lmao:

Or body parts glued to bellies, face full of cat litter......
.........ooops! Wrong thread

I told my husband about this thread....everyone comparing the size of their ahhh trucks, yea, that it, trucks. So I got the specifics from him on our tow vehicle.

1995 Ford LN800 single axle. Which was originally purchased and used by the Mark Martin Nascar team to pull their merchandise trailer.

It has a 275 h Cummins, turbo charged and after cooled. ( yea, small for a tractor but suits us fine. We get around 10mpg with a fully loaded 37' fiver. )

13 speed Roadranger transmission.

Holy Cow!!! Talk about over-kill!!! Or are you preparing for the day when they come out with a 55' 5'er!! :rotfl2:

It might be overkill...but the fuel mileage is not much less than my F350 dually. Husband prefers to travel in the "big truck". Likes having the extra stopping power.....plus you'd be surprised how much better the view is out of the cab.

Truck is white....but the lettering is in PINK and burgundy!:lmao:

We may have found the winner of the "Man with the biggest" ugh, hmmm, well, Truck!!!

Were you at the Fort around the end of April this past year in the 400 loop.
If so, we were just a couple of sites down from you.

I remember looking at your Tow Vehicle and telling DW " is that too much to ask for ":lmao: .My F250 may be smaller when not towing but, it has the turning radius of a freight train. It makes getting into a site a little more of a challenge but, I have enoughed challenges.

Hey lawn man, aftercooled is what gatordad is doing when he eats ice cream after a mexican meal. The next morning you hear him screaming from the bathroom then a sigh of relief when the ice cream passes thru.

Aftercooling is when you cool the discharge air from a turbo or supercharger before entering the combustion chamber. Cooler air makes for more hp.

But I thought that was "intercooled".:rolleyes1

Can you imagine the look on the cast member who checked this truck in had.
Hate to burst your bubble, but they see them all the time.

We've been to the Fort six times in the last 18 months and I've seen at least one of a different color every trip. Red ones, blue ones, green ones, and white ones. We have a guy over on the airforums.com that tows his Airstream with an orange one. The one that was in loop 300 the week before Christmas had writing on the side to the effect that it was "Not for hire, RV use only". It had a second set of doors plus the sleeper cabin on it. It may have been a Volvo, but I don't remember for sure.

Just thought with a thread name like this it should be on the main page again.
So here is a picture of a truck that has been in the parking lot at FW the last 2 times we have been there 11 months apart.

Nice. Are they from Texas too? What a coincidence.

Thats why I get a kick out of the photo because on the side of the truck it says Texas Half Ton. So I assume they are from Texas.

Had a 2005 Dodge 1 ton with the 5.9l chipped it with and edge box and monitor and cold air intake. Pulling a 29 ft Artic Fox 5th. worked great until the intercooler turned loose on I75 in TN going up that long grade. Waste gate got jamed open. Dealer on the other side of mountain, LaFollet, could not repair/get parts after 3 days. Traded 1 ton for 2007 2500 4x4. Truck is still stock...for now:rolleyes1
