Buzz, you're on a protein diet and your drinking wine?
I thought wine has carbs, and lots of them.

I would have voted for the indian food too. Yum!

I'm allowed 30 carbs per day. Red wine has around 3 or 4 carbs per glass. That's 10 glasses per day!!!

The best part of dinner is everyone getting together, relaxing, and enjoying a lovely Disney meal… …with wine of course! :thumbsup2

This is so very true :thumbsup2

We have but a single problem with dinner: Moan Boy. :sad2:

He never wants to go! His idea of a good evening is to stay in the resort room and send dad out to get Giordano’s pizza or McDonald’s. :confused3

Awww...he'll probably change. :goodvibes

Now, in October, there is no FREE dining like most of you received in September. There’s also no 400 mile an hour winds and torrential rainfall.

Free dining is our reason for going :cool1:

MDF said:
Now, before you do the math (put your calculator away blue :sad2: ) yes, we spent close to $2,000 on food, wine, beer, and other non-alcoholic beverages. I know, I know. That’s too much money. :headache:

ACK!!!!!!!!

That's scary.

MDF said:
So when you think about it, those three items essentially save us around $4,500 so we’re allowed to splurge a little, aren’t we?

Yes! Definately with a savings like that :thumbsup2

MDF said:
Where else can you go and eat while sitting on the floor? Everyone likes to eat with their hands, right? And of course, the Clakshin all-U-can eat dried llama & curry platter is fabled to be one of the best in the country!

Blech

MDF said:
So I order me up a delectable little 16 oz. Rib Eye and begin to smack and chomp away at it while occasionally taking a breather to slurp down some wine. Think hogs at the trough and you’re not far off. (Hey, I even rhyme!)

:rotfl2: Mmmmmmmmm...sounds yummy!

Everyone’s completely satisfied, except me. :sad2:

It's all about the sacrifices buddy :goodvibes

Where's the pics????

I read the cheater's version of your TR via your handy-dandy links and must admit that I'm STILL laughing (and I finished reading it a little while ago) :rotfl2:

Great stuff! :thumbsup2

Rule #1: Don't waste time in lines for characters.
That's not rule #1. I think that's rule #C.

But remember, our airline tickets were free, my rental car is free and 7 nights in our DVC resort are already pre-paid for 50 years.
Psst ... you forgot to subtract your annual dues ... :sad2:

One of the few places that sounded good to me was the Clakshin Indian Food Restaurant located next to TGI Friday’s in the Crossroads Shopping area.

TGI Friday’s received the nod. Loud Girl was demanding Mac-n-Cheese and wasn’t interested in spicy goat meat sautéed in virgin duck liver.
Aww ... I would have went to Dakshin with you. I always order the lamb curry and naan.

Here’s the thing about Friday’s. You get a consistent meal each and every time you go. No matter where you’re at!
Simply not true. At least not in DeWitt, NY. They have the absolutely WORST TGI Friday's anywhere. I have been there 3 times and the 3 times consistently have had the worst service ever. In fact, other family members will not even go there ever again. So, just in case you're here in these here parts, do not go that particular TGIF. I'll take you to India House.

Loud Girl pipes up, “Daddy, I wanna bite”.

Hoo boy. :sad2:
Hee hee. Yup! Happens all the time. That's why I sit Brookie next to Rob! :rotfl2:

I wish I was more of a wine lover.

It takes practice. You have to acquire a taste for it. Similar to Rocky Mt. Oysters. Eventually, it just grows on you.

::yes::

:sad2:

When I was lost in the woods for weeks on end I had to survive on grubs, worms, and maggots. Lucky for me I had my bottle of Cholula! :thumbsup2

Darn! Ok, ok. So I saved $3,500 instead of $4,500. Shesh! :sad2:

You're probably correct. I've never eaten at one other than the one at Crossroads outside of Disney. How the heck would I know? :confused3

TGI Friday's is my sponsor so I have to say nice things about them or I'll void my contract.

I'm nothing but a corporate shill. :sad2:

OMG :faint:

Come on troops, agree with me here. :thumbsup2
Errr sorry we're tight wads if we don't have free dining we only have about 3 TS in 14 days, but in my defence it costs an absolute bomb just to get there!

spicy goat meat sautéed in virgin duck liver.
You make it sound so appetising :scared: :rotfl2:

Loud Girl pipes up, “Daddy, I wanna bite”.
Uh oh, luckily my youngest doesn't like staek but my oldest does

I know darn well there’s a bunch of pork rinds and squeeze cheese back in the room. I can always go fill up on that.
:rotfl2:

Aww ... I would have went to Dakshin with you. I always order the lamb curry and naan.

So funny-we kept calling it Clakshin-I guess we can't read. It actually is Dakshin! :lmao: Bunch of rubes from Montana.... We don't even have an Indian restaurant here!

Mmmmm 30 ounce Porterhouse covered in horseradish...mmmmm...

Watch out-when I eat, I get after it. I love my kids, but I did NOT want to share my steak with either of them. I was starving. The only thing I had to eat all day was one string cheese. Hey-they ordered their food-I ordered mine! :rolleyes1

I'll bet. If you don't mind me asking, how much does it cost? What airlines do you fly?

On one of our first trips YEARS ago I met a guy from London who had purchased in to the DVC at OKW. He was the first person I ever heard about DVC from.

I travel a lot and also use a United Airlines Credit Card for everything (even a newspaper :rotfl2: ) so I build those FF miles quickly.

I'll bet. If you don't mind me asking, how much does it cost? What airlines do you fly?
Not at all, we usually fly Virgin Atlantic but have already booked next Augusts with BA as they came out cheaper for 4 of us (Jess now has to pay adult fare at 12 ) it comes to $5,200 :faint: That's just the flights!!!!! Now you see why we need the free dining :rotfl2: If we could go at other times of the year it's loads cheaper but we can only do August due to school vacation, the schools now won't allow any time off and fine you!

I have ADR’s for every single night we’re in WDW except this first night when we arrive, and one night when I plan to take the family to ESPN Sports Zone for dinner (they don’t take ADR’s).
Hmmm... I wonder how WDW's EPSN Zone measures up to ours in Anaheim. They have a Blues Burger to D-I-E for! :faint: Meat and cheese.... Mmm Mmm Mmmm - need I say more, stretchy pants man?

Heck, that's pretty good. We spent $2000 on CRAP - food was paid via DDP, booze ended up on Waldo's bill - :confused3 Don't ask me how the heck I spend that much.

Come on troops, agree with me here. :thumbsup2
Umm... ok.

Looks more like DAKSHIN to me. :rolleyes1 How much have you had to drink at this point? :lmao:

It’s also a lot of fun to sweat while you eat. ::yes:: The way I see it, if you’re not sweating during your delicious meal, then it’s obviously lacking spice.
Like that Ben Stiller movie, Along Came Polly! :rotfl2:

As I ponder my predicament, I feel the heat of laser beams coming out of my significant other’s eyes. Apparently, I’m not responding fast enough to her child’s request.
:rotfl2: Smart woman to hurry up and eat her share of the meat.

It takes practice. You have to acquire a taste for it. Similar to Rocky Mt. Oysters. Eventually, it just grows on you.
I'm voting for you to try the Rocky Mountain Oysters in the fry daddy!

So funny-we kept calling it Clakshin-I guess we can't read. It actually is Dakshin! :lmao: Bunch of rubes from Montana.... We don't even have an Indian restaurant here!
I wasn't going to bring it to your attention. I nonchalantly said the real name "Dakshin". I'm nice ... not like some readers below ... :rolleyes1

Mmmmm 30 ounce Porterhouse covered in horseradish...mmmmm...
I love porterhouse steaks, just not in horseradish.

(Jess now has to pay adult fare at 12 )
Oh dear Brit ... everyone here pays adult prices if they have their own seat. Only exceptions ... children under 2 on a lap. Children under 2 in their own seat sometimes ½ price but not on JetBlue.

Looks more like DAKSHIN to me. :rolleyes1 How much have you had to drink at this point? :lmao:
Pst ... that's already been covered ... by yours truly. Except I did it discreetly ... just sayin' ... :rolleyes1

Pst ... that's already been covered ... by yours truly. Except I did it discreetly ... just sayin' ... :rolleyes1
Yeah, I saw that. Sorry, my brain can't seem to process these 2 words in the same sentence.... DM and discretion. :confused3 And since when are you discreet? :lmao:

dakshin, clashin. Same dif. :confused3

They shoulda used a capital D instead of that funky little "d". That little "d" looks like "cl" to me.

It'll always be clakshin to me. :cloud9:

And DM, I've seen Lin eat JUST the horseradish... no steak. Since she cant have bread, she eats just butter before the meal.

She's a delicate little flower. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Only very good quality butter!! And no horseradish by itself!!! :headache:

Who needs a piece of bread? That's just empty calories!!! Gimme the butter dish!!!

Sadly, it's true. The butter at some of the places we ate was sooo good. I did take a few teaspoons. I couldn't help it. I have never tasted such good butter. Maybe we should put that in the Fry Daddy.... Mmmm Fry Daddy Butter.....
