Hey there, girlie! :cheer2:

Hmmmm... no new post..... hmmmm :surfweb:

I'll bet your on the naughty mat or off Hoffending someone!! Get yourself over here and give me some trippie!! Mama needs trippie!! :badpc:

Hi everyone - as you'll notice in my signature, my solo trip for November 1st has been cancelled - I'll post another chapter as soon as I can!!!

Now, those of you with little girls know that there is some genetic mutation which dictates to them that under no circumstance are they allowed to bypass the opportunity to completely and fully inspect any and all new bathrooms they come into contact with – so, what should have been quick, 5 minute trips were actually 15 minutes each – not appreciated by our fellow passengers, but oh well – there are other things to worry about in this world. :teeth:

Oh, good, there are actually other kids who do this, too. I was starting to think that my DD (also 4, BTW) was the only kid who had this need to visit and inspect every bathroom within a 1 mile radius of any place we go.

I'm enjoying this trip report. I suspect it'll give me a foretaste of what to expect when I go to WDW with DD next month :) And I'm trying to work on that luggage issue, too. We're actually going with our friends (another mom and daughter duo) but I don't expect my friend to be able to help me out too much since she'll have her own luggage to deal with.

Hi everyone - quick update for you - my Mom got very sick last week, and, not knowing how she was going to do, I cancelled my November solo trip - a little bummed, but priorities are priorities!

I'll get the last installment of my Mom/Daughter trip up this weekend, I promise! :teeth:

So sorry Mom is not well. I hope she has a speedy recovery! :goodvibes

I look forward to "hearing" more!

Packing to go back home is the worst part of any Disney trip - and this time was especially difficult for me. I had just had the best week of my life with my Pally, and now it was almost over. :sad2: Because I have OCD tendencies, packing really wasn't that time-consuming, since most things were at least where they were supposed to be, so once finished, I tuned into the resort chanel and started conspiring for my next trip :smooth:

Our last day was, of course, spent in the MK. We got up fairly early, stored our bags and headed over to the park. Pal knew we were going home that day, but in true 4-year-old fashion, refused to let the thought enter her mind and she attacked Fantasyland as if it were her first time there. Tea cups, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White and Philharmagic took up a majority of our time. We headed over to Tomorrowland and did a few laps on the speedway, rode the TTA coaster and visited Buzz one last time. Goofy coaster was next, and this time we only had to go around 3 times :teeth:

The wonderful thing about touring this time of year is that we got all of this done and still had several hours until it was time to leave for the airport. We grabbed lunch and then just walked around taking in the sites. We rode Haunted Mansion and saw the Tikki birds perform. I did the necessary and glanced at my watch. Pal - time for one more ride - what will it be? THE PIRATE RIDE MOM! So off we go to POTC. Loved it as usual and started to head toward the entrance. Pal figured out we were leaving and said "But Mom, I thought you said we could ride the pirate ride one more time" - UH OH - you guessed it - she meant the PETER PAN pirate ride

How could I do this? I have ruined the perfect trip by picking the wrong last ride - AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH :furious:

What to do? What to do? Well, I could do what I REALLY wanted to do and head for Peter and friends and miss our plane, or I could be the responsible adult that I had somehow morphed into and bribe the kid with candy all the way out of the park. How Pally didn't end up with a mouth full of cavities is beyond me :confused3

The flight home was bittersweet - we spent the trip talking about all of the fun things we had done and how neither one of us could wait to go back someday. I promised that it wouldn't be too long! :wizard:

So, you have now journeyed with me on the best week of my life and now understand why I am a complete Disney addict - how could I not be after all of this? pixiedust:

Thank you for joining me and allowing me to share my story - and I hope that all of you parents out there will one day consider doing a solo trip with your own kiddos some day - it is truly magical! :wave2:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
That was three cheers for an awesome TR! Thanks so much for sharing with us.
I remember you telling me about the pirate ride confusion a while back, but forgot all about it till I read that last installment. Those 4 year old minds are jsut so tough to get a handle on sometimes, no? The bright side is, you'll absolutely have to go back now, to get another ride in on Peter Pan!

Enjoyed your story! Yes, the addiction process is subtle, but when it's full blown, you really know it!! :rotfl2: Thanks for taking the time to post!!

Addiction/Obsession, all the same thing! (I'm with ya!)

Great TR!

Can't wait for the next trip!!!

Hi Al

Sad to "see" the end of your trippe! I had fun reading it.... what I wouldn't give to have a mommy/daughter trip with my Maddie!

Thanks for the great read! :thumbsup2
