Someone on the board mentioned that you could go to the bakery, pick your cookie of choice, and they would make an ice cream sandwich for you. Which bakery was it? The Plaza? Or the Main St. Bake Shop? Thanks for the help!

Main Street Bakery Shop. We did this in December, you can choose your ice cream, too!

Can someone give an idea of the cost of these? I checked on Deb's Allears site and the bakery menu states $1.49-$5.99?? That's kinda vague...does it depend on the type of cookie you pick? We usually do a snack every day and we'd love to try these...but $5.99 is a bit steep for a snack(compared to a Mickey Bar!)

Thanks! :D

The last time I got one, I believe it was $3.99.
Not too bad considering you get 2 cookies, (usually warm) and 3 scoops of ice cream!
Enjoy!!

They do it also at the bakery in liberty square.

As one other person noted, these are two cookies and lots of ice cream. They are definitely big enough for two people to share! Indulge in the higher cost snack by splitting it! (Or try the chocolate filled croisants while you are there........my morning ritual when I am at WDW!)

At least, that was what it was called when we were there a couple years ago. As you cross the bridge by the castle (to the left heading into Liberty Square), there is a food stand immediately past the bridge on your right. I think it is officially called part of Liberty Square. It is a little corner joint. I recall seeing baked goods there and I remember ice cream cones. Maybe I can find my map from this past May and check it out.

At the Main St Bakery you can choose your own cookies and mix and match - meaning 2 different ones. As I recall you can't do that at the other one in Liberty Square. So the Main St ones are big. They are so delicious but if you eat one alone be prepared it can get a bit messy and you may have a tummy ache --- BUT it is sooooooooo worth it, you just need to walk it off. We have a small lunch on the days we know we will have to devour one.

It sounds like sharing is the best way to go but I have a question. How do you split an ice cream sandwich like that? Any tips?

Grab a handfull of napkins!! My friend and I split one- and thank goodness my husband was there with the camera. I took a bite, passed it to her, she took a bite, passed it back.... it began to melt, the cookies were warm so the chocolate was melting all over our mouths and fingers, we had ice cream on our cheeks. It was fun! I have seen people eat them with knives and forks, too.
Also, the bakery in Liberty Square is called Sleepy Hollow.
Bring your camera!!

The first time I tried these was at AK right outside FOLK. I LOVE THEM!! So yummy!!! I don't think they do them in AK anymore, and you didn't get your choice of cookie.

think I have a cavity from the sugar from these posts!!
I also have a tummy ache from it being empty and longing for a cookie sandwich

I loved my cookie sandwich!! But, they did not let me choose my cookies. They told me that the cookies were chocolate chip and then let me choose my ice cream. I feel I have been lied to.
