The Magic, The Memories and You going away

Having had multiple opportunities to catch the show (even walking by while it was going) and never taking advantage, I must conclude that no, I must not care.

I care because it was cute and fun to watch. But its no F!
The best park about it at DLR was watching the parade then getting great seating for MMandY then being first in line for SW .... Strategy

But I'm sure ill quickly forget about it.

I thought it was a neat show the one time I saw it, but the videos I saw of the show at WDW looked more impressive than the actual show I saw on It's a Small World at DL. Plus, with Halloween coming and the princesses set up in the area, I can see it potentially causing some crowd challenges.

Disney has done great things with the facade for A Small World Holiday and even some of the fireworks shows, like Remember...Dreams Come True. Looking forward to seeing what Disney may do with the facade in the future!

I only went over voluntarily to see it once, and they cancelled it that night for some reason...I was there this past weekend and they made several public announcements saying that this show would be starting soon, presumably to get people to go over there. It's just not convenient.

I will miss the WDW one though. That one was cool and I saw it many times when I worked there last summer. They show it right between the nighttime parade and the fireworks so tons of people would always see it.

I did catch this once on an earlier visit and thought it was pretty good, but I imagine that the logistics just don't work out with the Fantasyland closures for fireworks prep and the fact that much of the audience would be off finding spots for fireworks anyway. I can see the tech being reused elsewhere though (perhaps integrated into the nighttime shows at Hollywood Land in DCA), and I imagine it works a lot better at the Magic Kingdom where they can project it on the castle.

I never saw it at DL, but saw it a few times on our last trip to WDW. It was very cute, but I'm not too surprised it's going away.

Yes, I'm bummed... but mostly because I was hoping to have my family enjoy it for our October trip. I guess I can understand, though, for Disneyland, why it is going away. For MK, it makes perfect sense to keep some form of it, or even integrate the technology as part of their evening fireworks displays, since guests don't have to move from one place to another to watch the shows.

Since castle at DL is underwhelming compared to the MK castle, I'm not sure the MM&Y show's impressiveness would convey as well in DL as it does in MK.

Either way, I was hoping to see it at least once at IASW.

I only saw it at MK, and was bored nearly to tears.

If I'm going to have my (or my son's) picture smeared on the castle, or IASW, in order to advertise Disney (for a crowd that is already AT Disney, because THAT makes sense), I'd like some compensation, please.

I really hate to admit this, but I talked my family into seeing the MM&Y show a couple weeks ago, we were bored and ready to leave before the show ended.
:(
Not only that, but on a busy August evening, there were probably less than 30 people watching the show. I told my wife the show was probably in trouble...

Thing is, I watched the opening night performance of this show on YouTube and it looked great. In person however, it was, well, boring...

The projection effects are neat, but it was hard to get excited about photos of strangers.

We loved this show! My kids were in it!! :lovestruc I got all misty. Just ADORED it! Kinda sad to see it go, actually!

Yes, I saw it and I was fascinated watching how the projections were accomplished. Maybe something different as the subject... but after seeing it once, we were either too busy or tired to catch it twice. Maybe if they told us that we would be in the show itself, we would go out of the way to catch it. Actually, if they told us that and I missed our picture, I would be so very disappointed (after all, one cannot actually catch every image that is projected... too many, too fast).

I only saw part of the show once. Maybe it was an off night or maybe I was standing in the wrong place, but the music was so loud that my boyfriend and I couldn't stand to stay for more than 5 minutes. So no, I won't miss it.

I'm going to miss this in DL -- I love it -- brings me to tears, so lovely.

And just FYI, the MK one doesn't come close to the DL one. DL is so much better. Smaller crowd, more intimate, IASW is a better presentation venue, DL is the right nostalgic place for a show like this.

Bummer.

We were on ITASW and came out and saw it. It was great. We will miss it. In fact my DH was hoping to catch it again. Hopefully there will be something else, but if not, we will enjoy being there for Xmas deco and bringing in the new year.
