The Magic Kingdom Castle Cake...Anyone Else Like It?

Loved the castle!! Can't wait until they do something like that again!!

I liked it too Brad! Not as a permanent thing of course but I thought it was really cute. I'm so glad I was able to see it and get a picture.

Speaking of that. I was informed that our 1996 trip would be "Once in a lifetime". That didnt last...

Never saw it in person, but I think it looked neat and was a great idea. But if I would have been going to WDW that year and I knew it was my only trip to WDW, I would have been upset at not being able to see the "real" castle...or even worse would have been if I went to WDW while they were in the midst of making the castle the cake...that woudl have been disappointing!

I'm one who saw it and didn't like it. It sounded like a cute idea but I hated the pink color.

Before we arrived I thought it sounded like a great idea and couldn't wait to see it. When we got there, we hated it. I was so glad when our next vacation came around and the castle was back to normal!

I absolutely Loved it! DH and I were married in WDW at WL in November 1997, it was my very first trip to WDW and I thought it made it even more magical!
We've been back a couple times since then, so I have seen it back to normal, but those honeymoon pics of the castle always make me smile.

I thought it was ugly. All the money Disney paid to do that they were better off taking down the prices of the hotels and passes, people would pf liked that so much better

I was in WDW in summer of 96 and looked in horror as they painted the castle pink! But at that point in time they had not revealed their future plans for the castle. When I saw the final product I was actually rather pleased. I agree, I thought it was creative and innovative.

I didn't like it at first but grew to like it over my week and half I was at WDW!!!

I really like the addition to Spaceship Earth!!

as For the Sorceror's Hat I was too keen on it at first but have grown to like it too!!!
