The Magic Kindom at 2:30 AM

Just noticed that I will be at the MK when the park is open until 3AM due to EMH (March 27). So what's the park like that late? Does it feel "different" or does it pretty much feel the same as anytime it's dark. Do lots of people really stay that late, or will things be empty? Do all the EMH attractions stay open, or do they start shutting down?

Oh, and I can I enter the park as late as I want? I'm just staying next door at BLT. If I don't think I can stay up that late (sigh, getting old) can I set an alarm and wander over to the park at 2AM?

Those late EMHs are great. After midnight, crowds do thin.

Park feels the same to me anyway. Yes you can enter at any time.

There is MK EMH on my b-day this year again...I cannot wait. We had such a blast last year riding SM & BTMM consecutively

If it is like the night we stayed til 3am, stay til the very latest possible! Most attractions should be empty, an you can ride them several times without getting off! It will be a great experience, an totally worth the late hours.. Trust me

Late MK is my favorite EMH! It might be busy toward the beginning, but as the night gets later, the park empties out significantly. It feels almost as if you own the park . . . loved it!

If you can make it until the last 1-2 hours of the MK EMH when they are that late is awesome!! No lines!
One trip I saw the characters out with only a few people in line.

Haunted Mansion - I think the CM's really get into a little more the later it gets.

My favorite - Splash Mountain really late. My favorite picture is me alone on Splash Mountain. Makes me feel special like the VIPs I guess.

super late MK EMH are the best of the best. After midnight it gets close to empty.. and just being in the MK in the middle of the night is totally magical. Make sure you ride Astro Orbiters.. so much cooler at night.

Oh, I forgot, go to Main Street and just hang out, even after the Park is closed. Once stayed over an hour later after an EMH. They cleared the 'lands" and we just sat on a bench people watching and absorbing everything.

We did this too...the park closed at 11pm and we just sat at the Hub people watching...around 11:30pm we went up to Cindy's Castle and walked in, there's a CM with a rope toward Fantasyland, but we got the best pictures of the castle tunnel (mosaic of Cinderella story) there was no one in there, and also awesome pictures from all angles of the castle. Main Street is just beautiful.

The latest we've been there was 1am and we're really looking forward to 3am on our upcoming trip! The park is really amazing late at night. Most of the Fantasyland rides become walk-ons as parents herd their kids out of the park for bedtime, and the view from the top of Splash in the dark is fabulous.

Yes middle of the night in MK does feel different IMO. Like many other posters said, the rides are practically walk-on and some you can just stay on and ride again. We did splash 3 times in a row! We always do the late late EMH at MK.

Can't wait until I get my chance to do just this in less than two weeks!

I just happened to be up at 1:30am last night (working) and just HAD to open Lines on my mobile and check out the EMH wait times at MK. Even with a 9+ park day, those lines were virtually gone!

We stayed in MK unti l3 in August. DH didn't think the kids would make it, but at 4 and 6, they were troopers! We stayed started in FL, where they had characters on the rides....we just missed riding with Mickey! Many characters were also out for pictures too! My DS thought it was cool of us to let him have a homemade ice cream sandwich form the bakery at 2:30 am. I also got to watch the Kiss Goodnight from the castle, which I had never seen before. We did lose a good part of the next day, as the boys slept until 11:30. Great memories were made!

This is how it feels for us. We LOVE MK EMH and always plan our days around it. Everything is a walk on and the whole park is just gorgeous....especially Main Street. We have a great PP picture of the four of us with Main Street as our back drop and there was not a soul in site (it was 3am as we were heading out)

As a college student, I wish I could say that I've stayed at MK until 3 am. I'm a bad representation of my generation, because I CANNOT stay awake that late, especially after a day at Disney!!
