The Magic is Back!

Hi everyone! We were one of those people who had "lost the Disney Magic". But after our trip last week, and during hurricane Irma, we found the magic again! We used to go every year and it had been 7 years since we've been. The last time we got back home 7 years ago we decided to go other places. We felt no more magic because we felt the cast members weren't as friendly, it was dirtier, and they weren't adding new rides like Universal was. So we went other places and saw some great things. But we decided to go back this year.

I'm so glad we did, even though the second half of our vacay was cancelled because Irma. The cast members went far and beyond. They were all friendly and genuine. They made us comfortable during a hurricane! We booked all the extras-EEM, Star Wars party, Terrace Viewing, and MNSSHP. The best parts were the Star Wars dessert party and Early Morning Magic.

We loved the Yacht Club. We had fun in all the parks and did EVERYTHING-except meets- in the MK and it was closed for 2 days! They were so helpful when we had to keep extending our stay because of cancelled flights.

The sit down restaurants had the best food we have ever had! Counter service was ok.

The only bad thing which was uncontrollable was the weather. The humidity the whole week was bad. And of course the hurricane.

So we will be returning! Not every year, but definitely more than every 7 years!

Funny how nothing changes. We started going to WDW 7 years ago and have seen the same complaints the whole time. Seems as though "familiarity breeds contempt". In other words, the more you go the more the WOW fades and you notice the little things, and the negatives. A break is a good idea sometimes.

I agree whole heartedly. It's one of the reasons that minimally I like 2 years in between trips. 3 is prefect but I'll take 4 too. We went back to back one time 2011 and then a year later 2012 and it was like oh look the castle. Still had a good time but lost its specialness.
