I was on the 8 day, the last one that left and went to WDW, Key West, and Castaway Cay. It was the best thing I have ever done.

Our January (18-26) Magic out of Galveston had the same itinerary. I absolutely loved it! Free WDW parks included pixiedust: in the original cost of the stateroom? I can deal with that anytime.... :cool1:

Hey....I was on that cruise!! Wasn't it absolutely amazing?? :goodvibes That was the first DCL cruise that I had taken. It sold me instantly.

Now I have one booked in Feb on the Fantasy, and then the WBTA. I'm hoping to through in a couple more *maybe* before the WB...but not sure. I'm trying to obtain gold status before our family goes on a cruise in Dec 2015. I'm SURE it will happen!! :rotfl:

Awesome!!!! What a great cruise.... didn't expect WDW to be so crowded in the middle of January, though!:faint: We just made gold-- five cruises in 20 months!!! :boat::boat::boat::boat::boat:

I'm also trying to reach Gold, I will be short one this year, maybe next. Yes, the 8 day was awesome. So sad to see Disney leave Galveston. I work at a Disney Store in Frisco,Texas. Every time I tell people about it they say they didn't know Disney sailed out of Galveston. So nice not to have to travel far to cruise and go to Castaway Cay and WDW.
:sulley:

Gone on a cruise, your first cruise, your first Disney cruise and was hooked. I did my first cruise, a Disney cruise and it was 8 days, in May and out of Galveston. PERFECT. Now I'm on the Trans-Atlantic in September 2014 and this morning booked a 4 day for May 2014 out of Fla. Can't wait for them. I now can say I have salt in my blood, LOL:woohoo:

You will love the Transatlantic!! We were boarding as you were disembarking in Galveston ... We were on the May 18 EBTA. Welcome aboard!! :)

Who has done this scrapbook exchange before? Melodie (MagicMe) is suppose to add me but my name isn't on there yet. It sounds fun, just wanting to know what most people make/give.pixiedust:

I do have you on my list but haven't asked Claire to update the front list as of yet.

I received so much stuff when I participated in 2010. I think we had about 14-15 people. Some people gave an assortment of stickers (both DCL and Disney type stickers) and some people put together an assortment of cutouts you could use (from the Cricut machine). As noted, some customized things (I had one envelope from two people traveling together where they included a journal card for each port (with the country flag in the corner) along with a few port specific stickers). My scrapbook for the 2010 TA is two 12X12 books packed and I used so much of the wonderful embellishments I received.

Point being that you can spend alot of time or a little bit of time. You can make something custom or you can gather stickers/embellishments in a ziplock bag.

My contribution was using the cricut machine to cut out 4" (or possibly 3" - can remember) size versions of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto and then cutting out their "clothes" to match their sailor outfits (as close as possible). I then put the four in a ziplock bag to hand out to each of my exchange buddies.

First of all, Hi! Welcome to our cruise crew.
I did participate in the 2011 WBTA scrapbook group. Each of us - think there were 15 of us - created our own cruise embellishments and put them in plastic bags to give out on the cruise. Mine were objects like, a porthole, an anchor, A DCL Magic cruise ship and title, page borders of anchors. I used my Cricut machine. Had a great time making them!
Folks did such creative things - they looked great once my cruise scrapbook was put together.

2 of my favorite things cruising and scrapping. I've been at my cricut all day today. Are either of you on the cricut message board? Where are you both from? This is going to be fun,:yay:

O, and thanks for adding me to the list. I'm going on a scrap retreat in August, now I have something new to work on.:rotfl:

Used to be on the Cricut message boards - not in over 2 yrs now. I often get together with some of our fellow cruisers for scrapbooking days though (not often enough).
I live in western Massachusetts. I agree that we are in for a great cruise with wonderful company!! The time can't pass quickly enough.

Does anyone have a good hotel that sleeps 4, at a good price. I saw onw hotel for 500.00 a night that sleeps 2. There are 4 of us that need a room for 1 night.:confused3

Palo Brunch (private groups):

If anyone in Group # 3 wants to move to the last sea day, we have a couple in that group who would like to trade to celebrate a birthday. I made a note, and of course there may be cancellations prior to PIF date, but thought I would mention it here. :goodvibes

Direct link to most updated group listing I am keeping in this thread:

I also participated in the scrapbooking exchange.....got some awesome and creative items to decorate my page (WHEN I GET THE TIME TO DO IT!!! :lmao:). I would be interested to see some pictures of your scrapbooking pages with what you got at the exchange, if someone could post some pictures. The new people wanting to join the scrapbook exchange could get a visual image of the type of things that were given. Looking forward to seeing your scrapbooking pages!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I have a 40 pg scrapbook and the embellishments we exchanged are scattered throughout. I will try and get some pictures taken this weekend and post them.
