I admit the book swap idea wasn't mine - but I really like it too and am looking forward to organizing it. I'm always having difficulty timing my reading exactly so that I can start a new book when going on vacation, and traveling with a half-finished book always seemed like a waste of suitcase space. Now I'll just take the half-finished one anyway, and exchange it for a different one onboard. Any other sci-fi and fantasy readers out there?

fantasy is probably my favorite and I really enjoy sci-fi also. I used to be a huge reader on trips but I've taken to keeping a journal which occupies a lot if my spare time. I'll definitely bring something though.

Glad to see there are some neighbors to the NYC area on the thread. We live on Long Island, so not far from northern Jersey at all! I love sailing from NYC, though we didn't get to do it on the Magic last year. I'm hoping that DCL will come back one day so that I can do it on a Disney ship. Disdel is right- it never gets old!

I didn't want to feel left out.

Here's our intro:

We're from Saratoga Springs, UT. We will be married 11 years when the cruise leaves. We have four children at home. DD 13, DD 8, DS 5 & DS 5.

Meredith, me, I'll be 36 when we sail. I work for eBay in their call center ... but soon I will transition over to sister company, StubHub.

Ian is a systems analyst and he works for Provo city, but specifically for the library. He's the database dude. He'll be 47 on the cruise.

We are both geeks. Would love to do trivia with anyone!

I wish we could bring the kids, but it's just not possible ... and well, who am I kidding? It will be AWESOME to get a little vacation without them. I will miss them terribly, I'm sure.

This is Mexican Riviera in Feb/March 2010 (I made a mistake on my first post and thought it was Jan/Feb. My bad.

And this is how we look now:

I'm still just figuring out what I want out of the cruise ... Do I want R&R, or 'go go go' ... Pretty sure I'll pass most of the cruise being slightly buzzed. We have plenty of time to figure it out.

After some searching I found the original outfit for the World Wide MAN club

After some discussion we settled on Khaki for the shorts. If the ladies have the pink and boas and tiaras then we can have our own outfit as well.

Oh darn. Such a shame to get that spoon out! Amaretto sounds delightful as well!!!

I haven't come up with a solution just yet. In the meantime, I can post pictures. Even if I could get the scratch-and-sniff function to work, that would be good and calorie-free!

Isn't it funny how there is always a little too much mixture/frosting left over???

Scratch & Sniff would work, Calorie free sounds boring but for the best.
