We were away when the dates were finally announced so did not even look at booking until yesterday, but somehow we seemed to have snagged the Walt Suite!! I was amazed both suites were still available! This will be our third WBTA first time in a cat R - love it and can't wait!

DH (Scott) and I (Deb) are booked in cabin 6132. We've booked and canceled two previous WBTA sailings - first time DH got downsized, and second time he'd just started a new job. Hopefully, the third time's the charm! We love long cruises - have done Hawaii (May 2012) and the WBPC (May 2008), and have the EBPC coming up (Sept 2013). Have also done an eastern and western itin back-to-back. Bottom line, we love extended cruises with lots of sea days. I know it's the same for many of you!

I plan to check the old DISboard posts for info/advice on air travel and pre-cruise hotels. While DH has traveled to Europe many, many times (he used to live in Holland), he's not been back for at least 10 years so isn't so "in the know" these days.

Hope to be able to keep up with this thread, LOL!

I think the excitement of the day caught up with me as I was out like a light last night. My excitement was ignited once again this morning though.


Welcome to all new cruisers and cruisers from previous WBTA's. We have yet to meet people from the 2010 WBTA , but I'm sure we'll all be like old friends by the time next September comes around.

Maybe we can have a list on the roll call page at the bottom that lists people who have been on the 2007, 2010 and 2011 WBTA's?

If you would like to arrange an event please post on here, to make it fair I think it should be on a first come first served basis and that we should only have one person/couple/family arranging one event so that hopefully everyone that wants to take control and have a hand in arranging something can. Is this ok with everyone?

Please put me down for the WBTA Bands (bracelets) - I have organized or help organize those for several cruises and TA's.

So, will you just stay in Europe between the EB & WB ?

The 2010 EBTA has a nice presence here, too! We are so excited, the time will fly.
Wonder who our onboard experts will be, we had such a great time with Imagineer Gary Landrum.

No I will not stay in europe between - wish I could, but hopefully like last time will get to spend some time in Germany before this cruise. Only hope this time is I do not loose my luggage on a direct flight from Munich to Dublin - it finally showed back up 6 months after we came home from the cruise!

Oh - I still have my stuff from the WBPC from 2008 - still in its bag from where the DIS group had our own workshop (and it is great stuff!)

The Pre-Cruise Hard Rock Get-Together

WE will be organising a pre-cruise meet up on the evening before we sail in Barcelona. In the past this has been held at the Hard Rock Cafe on Placa Catalunya ... you can meet up for a drink, or dinner, or just say hello to your fellow cruisers. This has been a great night in the past ... a good way to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

I will be contacting the Hard Rock early in 2014 to arrange this, and until; then will be keeping a list of names of those who are interested ... so send me a PM with your names if you are

That was fun but a tight fit! And stopping all traffic on the stairs to take pictures was great!

You guys are really ahead on things. The only thing I've been researching is air and Barcelona hotels and I feel like I'm not getting anywhere with that yet. We definitely want to do Palo brunch, either with the group or solo. That's one of my favorite things, even though I usually wing up too full to eat everything I want. The chicken parm with risotto, the pizzas, the crab legs... My mouth is watering right now!

We currently have a cabin on deck 2 but hope to move up higher to our favorite deck 7 possibly!

I have a question!

Has anyone used the Airfare through Disney for their cruise? We looked at airfare to Barcelona and it is outrageous for a one-way fare. The fare Disney has quoted is actually less than 1/2 the cost, and includes the return from Puerto Rico.

Actually I have 2 questions: (heehee) Are you able to select your travel date when using Disney airfare? We would like to arrive in Barcelona a couple of days before the cruise so we can play there.

We did use disney for air once - we only did it through them because of time restrainsts for us. They do charge a fee to move the dates and cannot remember how many days you are allowed to move it. We were pleased with it and it was cheaper (we used it on the EBTA in 2011) but we did not additional days around the cruise.

Way back before the first PC Repo cruise, a great friend, EllaEnchanted, and I were 'chatting' online and one afternoon came up with how great it would be to get a few like minded ladies together onboard and drink bubbly....we added tiaras and pink, and later feather boas.......and called ourselves Champagne Girls....



Thus CGs were born, and have since grown and been organised by many people onboard countless cruises. On some, they are informal groups bringing their own bubbly and getting together in a cabin or bar onboard. On others they organise large groups (as on here) through DCL, who charge a small extra (usually around $25 or so) price and run the tastings for them. There are lots of great photos on here of the get togethers and I'm sure some talented person will post them if you wish


I'm sure whoever organises and creates this one it will be as much fun as each and everyone!

Indeed, us boys need to find a bar. On the 2010 WBTA, Champagne Girls was in our suite and I made the mistake of going back for my camera, to find 40+ women wearing pink blouses, with pink boas, tiaras and sipping (swilling) champagne. Point me to the bar.
