Make a calendar on page one. Let people put tentative dates of events, particularly the alcoholic events, so that none overlap on the seven sea days. Remember (or don't remember lol) the Champagne Girls getting assigned by Disney on same afternoon as Pub Crawl?

If the "hard ticket" events (like rum/mojito/tequila/mixology tastings and Champagne Girls) can scatter their events and request mid-afternoon, and when organizers email Disney include the overview of "events being submitted by various people in same group", that will help our DCL contact understand the necessity of keeping these events on separate dates. Then Pub Crawl can be scheduled based on when Disney confirms the dates since it's not a hard-ticket event booked with DCL in advance.

I just remembered that we did that last time for the 2011 WBTA. We all chose different times and dates for our DIS events but when DCL come back to you (usually just a few days before the cruise) they will tell you the time it can be fitted in around their own events and it's not always what you asked for.

It's definitely the right way to go but just to warn everyone that some of the things you want to do may clash.

Anyway i'm just rambling but it's something to bare in mind....:)

Hi Everyone

Two newbies to the group here. Please add us to the roll call Claire, Jules and my hubby Ian, we booked last night room 6650.

Really looking forward to sailing with old friends and making new ones.

Claire, if you need me to help with anything, please let me know x

Welcome, and congrats - great stateroom !

And, since I haven't see it yet, if there's interest in Stateroom Tours. I'll coordinate, I did it on the 2010 EBTA. We managed to have at least one of EVERY Cat., including the Roy Suite and "sideways" inside. Info for sign-up to "volunteer" your stateroom, or just do the walking tour, to follow. Now, who's booked in the Roy or Walt suites ?:woohoo:

"Oh and one more thing, those locked coordinates? We're in!!!"

WE'RE IN!! :woohoo:

Joe and I just booked this cruise and we thought we were earlybirds....then I see the 25 pages on this thread already. Wow guys, I am impressed!!!:worship:

So happy to be cruising again with so many familiar screennames from other TA voyages (Pinky, Krisann, Sarah & Tony, Woody, PFlamingo and so many more!) - and some new friends from the PC cruise (Annika, I'm talking to you!)

Yay Yay Yay!!

Please add us to the rollcall, Liz and Joe - I don't know our cabin yet.

Michelle, would you mind pm'ing me to let me know how you organized the mojito tasting with DCL...

My pleasure Jules.. we can wait till nearer the time? You'll need all your PM space for tastings :)

Thanks Michelle, I have Holly joining me and Ian so far lol x

DW decided to leave me at home alone on a Saturday so what do I do? Start researching the possibility of doing this cruise. So, I look at our options for timings and apx. flight costs. Sure can be done, just going to have to convince DW (which shouldn't take much). The only catch will be when the Double Dumbo Dare is held in 2014. Should be the week before we would board for this cruise. That would just mean we fly to LA the weekend before, run the race, spend a couple days at DL, then fly to Barcelona. We'll hold off on booking until we can do a OBB in May.

For those we have travelled with in the past, hope to see you again.
Jon

Just thought of something else that can be organised....

The Pre Cruise drinks/dinner Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona! It's a tradition!!! :goodvibes

Please not with any rain! Remembering the torrential downpour outside the Hard Rock 2010!

That was something else ... I have never been so drenched ... we walked down to Lynne's appt on the harbour and were up to our knees !!

I know Michael and I have both done this before ... I am happy to do it again. Will have a look to see if I still have an email for the contact we used.

I was going to jump in but I see you've already got it, Sarah! I have the Hard Rock contact info from 2010, in case you can't find it.

Unfortunately, I don't have the meteorological contact to order up good weather! :confused3 Michele and I got off the subway and walked up the street to watch the fountains and got totally soaked. We got back on the subway and that's when Michele had her little encounter with the pickpocket. Fortunately, all the girl got away with was a dirty Kleenex!!! :lmao:

Thanks....I was just about to say I will be adding everything in full detail to the first page, thats why I reserved several spaces at the beginning as I knew how much extra activities etc would be plan from the last WBTA. :)

I work full time so most of the updates will be done at weekends.....it's hectic enough trying to keep up with the roll call and chatter here and on Facebook during the week. :lmao:

Please feel free to make suggestions of anything you want added. :)

Oh, I hope you didn't take what I said as a dig! Because I totally didn't mean it that way. You are doing a great job trying to coordinate between the FB and here. We are off to an awesome start considering this cruise is only 3 days in the making for most of us. I was just trying to say that when we all get more into planning mode that we should try and do a similar set up like the ETBA.

Gosh that did make me chuckle .... Throne in Scotland has a whole other meaning :rotfl:

I have added this information in the 3rd post on Page 1.

Please read the rules regarding signing up for the drinks tastings and make sure you supply all the details required by DCL to take part.

Don't worry if your names are not showing on the lists at the moment as we will be updating them weekly so you may not appear on them straight away. :thumbsup2

If anyone else wants to arrange any other drink tastings please let me know and I will add them. :thumbsup2

Thanks :goodvibes

:drinking1 :drinking1 DIS Group Drink Tastings! :drinking1 :drinking1

Rules:
1) Will need to know the first/last name of each person participating, along with your cabin number. Remember, you MUST be 21 or over, and DCL will check this against your registration info. You must PM this to the person organizing the tasting you want to attend (see list below).

2) The cost of the Mixology Class will be charged to your cabin by DCL. There will be no refunds once we have submitted the final list, this won't happen until about 2 weeks before the cruise (we will know the time and date before the final list is submitted.) The cost is approx $20 per person (TBC nearer the time) and will be charged to your room whether or not you attend once the final lists have submitted.

3) There will be a MAXIMUM of 49 people per tasting. If we go over this number we will be able to schedule separate classes.

:rotfl2: Very good - will take that into consideration:thumbsup2

Once I figure out how to create a GoogleDoc, I'll post a link for Claire to add, and info can be put in. Then I'll arrange the itinerary based on ship layout, print 'em and distribute onboard. Wow, I can't believe the planning already for 18 months out. Thank goodness for the added hour-a-night:yay: I only wish I could add hours to my days NOW !

Hello everyone :wave2:

We just moved our dummy date over to this cruise and are so excited to see some "old" friends already on board from the 2010 WBTA and the Oct 12 Hawaii cruises :yay::yay: already looking forward to making some new friends too!

Claire please would you add me, Sarah and my Mum Elizabeth cabin number 6618 to the roll call?

:dance3:

Thanks Sarah

Yep. Turn in priority of dates. We had the one tasting we signed up for clash with the Princess Tea we were assigned. It took about 5 trips to guest services to move our tasting to the other group.

That's why I was thinking if all events are listed that are hard-ticket events when submitting to DIS, and they know many people are wanting to participate in multiple events, they might be more open to scheduling them on different days. And then wait until those are confirmed before picking the day for the Pub Crawl since it's more of a "just show up" and no rsvp with DCL necessary. It would have that flexibility.

I hear ya! I work full-time as well and my two days off are Friday and Saturday. I just got caught up on reading DIS this morning before the kids woke up :rotfl:
