I joined this site last week (God only knows where I've been...head in th sand, I guess!!!). WBTA will be our family's 5th Disney cruise, and we can't wait!! I've gotten us on a late FE list (yea!!!) and in the dining area, with all who want to sit near each other. I have info on the "Meet and Greet" at the Hard Rock Barcelona, and the mixer at the Promanade Lounge at 3pm the day we board. I'm kicking myself as I'd love the champagne and tiara function, but there is always next time.

Any other suggestions from the old pros??? I am assuming the pin order is closed. I can't find the link.

No, you still can order pins. This must be done and paid by 7/31.

Relaxin' reminded me the other day about an informal meet we've had on several Wonder cruises - I guess you could call it "stitch & beach" although on a cruise there isn't much beaching

3 pm every sea day for sure and many other days as well, because by 3 o'clock most moms NEED some quiet time. - bring your "handwork" and hang out for an hour sans kids and spouses - Cove Café. Quilters, stitchers, knitters, beaders, crocheters, scrapbookers, card makers - ALL WELCOME.

No leader. No signups. Just show up.

Ok, I have seen the word candy mentioned a few times on our FB posts. There are a few of us who do indulge!!! So, I have decided to take on the Candyswap .

What it is? It is as delicious and tempting as the title infers; participants exchange candy among each other. For instance many countries/states/areas have some specialty which you might consider introducing to your fellow cruisers. I know that here in New England we have an awesome candy, which I wont share the name of, but, OMG get your taste buds ready.
If there is nothing really specific from your neck of the woods, don't worry! Just bring along something you find mouthwatering and know that others will appreciate you sharing it.

Out of interest does anyone know if they sell cross stich kits on the cruise?

PS 6 weeks today I will be in panic mode as will need to have almost finished all the work I need to do before my flight on Friday and trust me I know it wont get done! DO NOT PANIC!

GUESTS OF PUERTO RICO'S ISLA VERDE BEACH RESORT: I don't even really know why I went to TripAdvisor last night to read reviews (again) on the resort, but I did. I noticed that recent guests have mentioned that the resort is undergoing renovations. One person said that she reached out to the Assistant General Manager before her stay requesting that she have a newly renovated room, and she got her request granted.

I emailed the AGM last night and received a response this morning. He has made note of my request to have a newly renovated room and gave me a "complementary room upgrade to a renovated room". Now I have no idea if it's really an upgrade or not, but what matters to me is that I will get a fresher, cleaner room! He stated that during the weekend of Sept 20, they will still be working on the main lobby and two guest floors that will be out of order. He wanted to point out that there will be noise during the daytime hours, so if that would be a concern for anyone, you are now informed with time to make a change if it concerns you.

If you would like to email the AGM asking for a newly renovated room, here's his info, which is posted on TripAdvisor in the reviews. In fact, he even responds to reviews on TripAdvisor.

Have you explored apps like PatternWare, Cross Stitch Studio, WinStitch, or the like? I know there are many applications out there that you can scan your image and it converts to a CCS pattern.

That probably means they only sell them in Downtown Disney as this is the only place I've managed to find any.

No I haven't but now you've mentioned them I think I will be! In fact I think I may have a disc for Cross Stitch Studio from years ago and I've never used it. Maybe I need to search it out
