The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Woody- Curt and I would love to have lunch with you two one day and catch up!
We would love that as well, and look forward to it!

Are you doing a self walking tour in Malaga?
We've been to Malaga multiple times, both as land travel and port stops.

It is walkable from the port, but if it is hot and humid, distances seem much farther. We try to walk along the shaded Paseo del Parque.

The statue of Hans Christian Andersen is worth a visit. Photo.

For first timers to the region, I recommend a tour of the Alhambra, which is magnificent.

Does anyone know which day they usually have the Gold and Platinum Castaway Onboard Reception?

To all candy swap participants - many of you expressed an interest in bringing candy for everyone in our group. That is just fine with me.
If there are some among you who know that this will really interfere with your bag weights, just let me know and we can make arrangements.

The complete list of all participants is on the first page! Getting very excited as we only have 45 more days until we leave for Barcelona!! :cool1::banana::dance3:

On one of the cruises - was it the WBTA? I was appalled to find the castaway club get together was at midday on the open deck around the family pool. How special was that? I skipped it.

Linda - we have the castaway party on deck 9 too for the PC.There must have been some complaints, on the Hawaii cruise they split the group and had 2 sessions.

I've been to two Castaway Club parties on deck 9. No invitation required, as they were not in a private area. So anyone at or near the family pool could attend and participate (free drinks, etc).

These CC parties were huge disappointments, as the officers' attitudes appeared to be, "Let's get this over with."

Anyone considering Aero bus from the airport to hotel. Do they store the luggage or do you carry on bus? What is the cost of a taxi to city. We are staying at Prakik Rambla. Marty and I are exploring all options. originally scheduled to stay at Disney recommended hotel and booked transportation also. We cancelled after seeing how many were staying in the center of town and booked the Prakik. First time in Europe and both will be carrying our Medicare cards.

I'm taking the bus from the airport to the city centre which is the last stop. I've done this before and it's simple and cost effective. From the city centre you can either take another bus or walk to your hotel (which I am doing).

Medicare is usually not taken overseas..do you have a supplement plan that includes overseas trips?

We've used the Aerobus before and found it to be easy and affordable. You'll follow the signs once out of the secure area, then pay the driver for your ticket. I think there are machines, too, but it's easiest just to pay as you board. You carry on all luggage; there is a large luggage rack in the middle of the bus. We will be using the bus this time, too, heading to Placa Catalunya then walking to our hotel.

Medicare cards? I'm going to take a guess that you're referring to your age, and that you realize Medicare isn't valid overseas, as far as I know ;).

thanks for info. You're right . Celebrating birthday this month.Month ,day and Year ...? Jessicamom. I think bus is a little much with luggage. OK, how about cab and if I get off at last stop , I guess I'll take cab.
