Thanks GatormominNC...I checked our flights with Southwest and at least the flight from Kansas City to Chicago went down $36.00 for each of us...so that was quite a reduction. The flight back though from San Juan is still the same...who knows maybe it will come down some too by then, but regardless I'm grateful!

LUV you guys flying Southwest :love: Zipp - my mother-in-law is with us and she and father-in-law just moved from living ten years in Kansas City back to Oklahoma a couple years ago. (She loved EBTA 2013 with us so much she asked in March if we would mind her joining WBTA! So she is coming this time while father-in-law stays back as he is not a fan of cruises)

I wonder if this is for all airlines, or just Southwest?

I did read somewhere that AA does not open for check-in until 3 hours prior. Southwest opens 4 hours prior to a flight. But the Southwest website did recommend 180 minutes for SJU. Maybe each is different (?)

That was the one person I never heard anything about from the chocolate tasting, even though I pm,d them

Luckily her brunch group was at 14, so that put them to 12 -- still eligible for private room. Alma had to key in each reservation number and that one flagged her. Luckily the only one on my brunch list that did.
 
I spoke with Alma at DCL today. She believes our timeslots are secure for the Private Room Group Brunch dates requested as no other groups submitted. :banana: She is awaiting confirmation from the ship. She will email me once that is received and has already input each reservation number (so you are definitely locked in now for the private room - cannot cancel). She has asked that after that confirmation is received, anyone who booked a Palo Brunch online *on the same day* as their group brunch to please cancel it to save her a step. (However... having a brunch you booked on a different day is OKAY in addition to this private group brunch date! Helps those who like to have brunch twice on a 14-nt cruise... if you are wanting to do that online.) But things are looking good for our 8 groups on our 8 days requested!! Not totally confirmed but lights are green. :) BTW - The PRIVATE room brunch will NOT show up in your cruise planner stuff online when logging into your reservation because essentially it is a "private event". The names below are in the spreadsheet along with the confirmation numbers you sent me. (Post #8 in this thread is where I have kept everything updated)

The only snag:
TeamH5 - your confirmation number was showing up as cancelled. I tried emailing but no response yet. Luckily your group still has the minimum 12 required but your confirmation number did not go through for private room brunch Sept 16.

Hi this was me! i book with puerto rico cruise excursions.
they will pick us up in pan american pier ( just checked!) do the tour and then droop us with luggage at the airport at 1 pm. i moved my flight to 4 pm so this gave us time of 3 hours prior boarding, for a local flight i think it is ok.
it costs 40U$ each adult and U$ 28 for kids
as we are 8 one taxi didn't work so we needed like 3 taxis or 2 taxi vans and when i quote we almost have the same price than with the tour.
i aso wanted my kids to know old san juan fortress, i been there but i think they will enjoy it.
i didn't pay in full, only a small down payment.

Thank you for sharing this sale. I originally booked on March 4. The price slightly went down from SJU to Columbus, OH for Monday, Sept. 22. The sale got me $15/ticket for a future flight. I'll take it! :)

First of all, YOU ROCK for organizing all of these reservations and being on top of it to get them submitted on a timely basis! Thank you! :worship:

all groups get in!!! I'm shocked! I was certain that there was no way they would accommodate all of us. Happy happy happy to hear it just might get pulled off for all of us!!!

I read a few reports saying in some rooms yes in some rooms no (and in some rooms no clock either) on the Magic this summer so I'm taking speakers and charger just in case.

With regards to the Palo Brunches! WOHOW :cool1: I'm so excited. Never been in the private room so this should be good.
 
Even better with private room group brunches - when I logged into my Disney reservation later last night to look at when I had booked Palo dinner (I had forgotten) I saw Adult Dining listed for EVERY sea day. :thumbsup2 At first I was like "WHAT?!?!?" and then looked at each one and they were Private Room Brunch. Essentially she had to list me as the contact for all eight groups and list under someone's reservation (mine) but then the spreadsheet that has everyone's confirmation numbers, how many in that confirmation, and name -- she and Disney have (It's cleaned up much prettier than post #8).

Timeslot is showing in my reservations as 10:00-11:30 and she will send me a final confirmation 2 weeks prior to the cruise. I have not received the email confirmation she mentioned yesterday, but seeing it in my reservation online like that for all eight sea days seems like a pretty darn good indication!

So yes, cruise on Sept 6 with first brunch group on Sept 7 --- and I had a phone call on JULY 9. About two months prior. :cool1: I am glad we didn't sit around and wait until a month prior as had been suggested to do. I wanted us in the queue. She told me that she held the space when I emailed her in early June but was just to our cruise of inputting everyone's individual reservation numbers. She was able to confirm the reservation numbers and names, so will be charged even if a no show.
 
Also - for those coordinating private events -- she is working on our cruise as she leaves for a month-long vacation soon. She arrives back on Aug 19 so trying to get things done now. Coordinating things with cruise director but she said she recognized a lot of our names from the multiple lists. ;) So I would not be surprised if we get tentative dates and times in the next ten days for many events that have already been submitted.

Fantastic! So excited! Now do I cancel my solo brunch I booked incase this didn't go ahead or should I wait just in case this gets cancelled or are we pretty much definitely on?

And while I am at it thanks to everyone who has done so much for us fellow cruisers in organizing: the Fish Extenders and Secret Mickey (Sarah/CDNDisney);
the lanyards and pins (Noel and Connie); mixology (Debra); stateroom tour (Lucas/SucalT)

And those are just the things I am participating in, there are so many other things going on (scrapbooking, champagne girls, Hard Rock meet up, linked dining, mojitos, candy swap, private excursions - I know I am probably missing something else!).

This is my 2nd WBTA and I don't know what it is, but it brings out the best in people!! I am so looking forward to cruising and crossing the Atlantic Ocean with all of you guys!
