I'm An Avid Train Buff And Thought It Would Be A Neat Tour.

i did a feedback search once and it was good reviews. the person recommended leaving a bit extra time, as they said that train buffs tend to ask lots of questions, and it may go a bit over time. my mum was interested in this, to do it with my son, but the 3 hours was a bit too long, and as it turns out, there is a minimum age requirement for this tour.

It sounds awesome tho, i am sure it would be a great experience!

I sent my DH and Dad on this one in May. They loved it. You get to see the morning preps for the trains, tour the roundhouse, and get the inside scoop on the Disney trains. They also demonstrate the different safety features of the trains. My men raved about it.

This is good to hear - I'm thinking my dad would enjoy this on our next trip. When he retires next year he is thinking of going to volunteer at a steam railway/restoration place.

My 10 year old son loved every minute! Even his not so Disney crazy Dad got out of the tour spouting interesting facts about the trains and Walt Disney. They had to be at the MK early (by vacation standards)and did spend over 3 hours on the tour. My son had tired feet ; )

They went to the roundhouse and were able to climb into an engine to have a look up close at the controls. Take a camera as you are allowed to take pictures at certain points, plus you can get a great shot of my - ooops I mean the- castle on an empty Main Street.

My son was even allowed to throw the switch outside Toontown. He was very excited about that and had to take me on the train later in the day to show me the switch.

They each recieved cute personalized name tags and a train tour pin at the end.

Well worth the money!
