Well at last I can say I am going on the Magic this year! Are there any Xmas 2003 cruisers out there? I would love to know what Disney do different on the Xmas cruises, do they have full Christmas Dinner? Is there a special party? Anything else special/ different?

If anyone has a naviagtor i would love to take a look - not being terrible technical though I dont know how I would get it!

Many thanks

Lorraine

Lorraine: We are on the Dec 2004 10 day Magic cruise. Is that the one you're going on? If so, we have a very active thread on the meets board. In the infamous words of one of my fellow cruisers "come on over to our thread!"

There are 2 very good trip reports from this years Christmas cruise. JCsomethingcpa (sorry Jim, I'm having brain melt down right now!) posted a complete report which was very nice. There is also an in-process report titled something like Christmas cruise from a not-so-superwoman which is a riot! A lady named Bonnie wrote it.

Congrats on cruising this year! Welcome to the club!

Lorraine,

There are several reports out there about the Christmas Magic 2003 cruise, as Lisa told you. One report per day was written by my DH, (jgalecpa) Jim and one by Boinnie (Grumpy's Mom).

This year's Christmas dinner was the Lobster dinner and the menu was as spectacular as always. Everyting was very festive. The ship's decorations are out of this world--the trees, a large gingerbread house, etc. Santa was on the ship for Christmas day (an at sea day) giving out toys to all the youngsters. My girls are teens so we did not do this but I understand the line was long. On Chirstmas Eve we had an awesome sail-away party from Cozumel (aided by some consumption of Baileys as I recall).

I did not save the Navigator but I do remember several activities, specifically Christmas related. Mrs. Claus read stories to the kids (that may have been on Christmas Eve) and there were church services for those that wanted them. Christmas dinner was our semiformal night so there were lots of pictures being taken by Shutters--by the large Christmas tree in the lobby; with Micky; in front of the ship; etc.

Hope that helps a bit and HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME!!!

Congrats on cruising this year! Welcome to the club!
Lisa,
I didn't realize my words were 'infamous', I'm flattered.

Lorraine,
Welcome to the 10 day sailing. As Lisa mentioned, our thread is very active and may scare a few folks. But we are harmless and very anxious for this year to go by so we can cruise together.
So here goes the line, come on over and join our thread.
