Hotel Cheyenne - 9th - 11th march 09
Cast
Me - Claire, 28 year old ex dancer who left the wonderful streets of Medway to follow my man Italy!! I am part of a big family all are Disney lovers and when the whole family is together we all "quote" lines from all the films - something my DH found disturbing when we first met lol.
Been married to my DH for the past 4 years.
DH - Fed, 35 Ex photographer who was never a Disney lover until he met me!! now he likes a good old Disney film as much as the next person! we met 10 years ago while working on the cruise ships and it's been love ever since
DD - Abigail who just turned 3 in december, She is a real princess, fairy ballerina!! Such a sweetheart and a lovely little girl but has her moments ( like all 3 YO's) when she turns into the devilspawn!!! lol she LOVES anything to do with the Disney pricesses and tinkerbell and ofetn makes her little brother be her prince in her games
DS - Sebastian who will be 2 in April, he is a little cutie with his blonde curls many people think he is a girl, he is a very placid little boy and loves his cuddles, although lately he has come out of his shell and is becoming a real little boy!! jumping off of everything etc like a little ball of pepper! lol Mickey Mouse is his fave character at the moment.
Maffei family's fave pastime = Watching Disney movies in bed cuddled up together
Our Trip
DH was never bothered about visiting any Disney land at all. I have been asking him for years to take me, his first excuse was "it's for Children and we don't have any". Then once we had Children he said they were too young - and it's too expensive - year 1 and can't get the time off from my new job - year 2!!
Last year was a bad year for us as this new job took him away to Brazil for 3 weeks every other month and this year he left for Brazil on the 1st Jan to return the second week of Feb!!! Crappy year. The ONLY good thing out of all this was that he has lots of airmiles with AirFrance!! partners with DLRP!!
Once I saw this he had NO excuse.
DH is actually fully on board with the idea and is getting excited too
His airmiles certificate came a couple of weeks ago for the hotel Cheyenne and we booked the day after. We were going to go later on in the year but his company is making him take holiday leave next week (crisis!) so we decided to go then.
I am very very excited about this trip having wanted to go all my life.
We are driving up from Turin so we are leaving Sunday afternoon, driving to France then going to stay in a little hotel for dinner and sleep then up early Monday to finish the journey to DLRP
Can't wait!!!!
I have already booked Cafè Mickey for Monday night then, Princesses lunch and inventions for Tuesday.
Would mind also visiting rainforest cafe also but will see when we are there
Goals on this trip
To have a magical time and to get DH to fall in love with Disney so we can come time and time again
