Is a Fastpass, Ed! :wave2:

Just got home from the ballfields. Today's been a busy day. You know, 7:30 games on the weekends are not bad, but the first time we come rolling in from a game at darn near 10:00 on a school night, it won't be pretty. BTW, we won. 10-4.

I'm lovin' all the pics!

Allright, where is everybody? Meeeeeeellllllll. Melly Mel Mel, we miss your smell. Okay, not really and that just sounds gross but it was the first thing that popped into my mind that rhymed.

Buzzton, where have you gone? ZZUB? Polymelonmom?

Tink in a Drink: Hey. Just love sayin your name. :teeth:

Allright, DH is claiming the computer for the night so I'm out. Check back in tomorrow.

I looked at JnN'sM designs, but just didn't really see anything that said,"WOW I WANT IT!". Any ideas? Would you be willing to work with me and design something for me?

Who's designs? What is this, I would like to look at 'em. Well, if you have some sort of idea of something funny or theme you would want to explore, we would have somewhere to start, k?

Jamal - to make a really long story short, PM me with your email addy and I can help you with this. Sometimes you can resize things and sometimes you can't and still keep them read/viewable. Also, the DIS has certain dimensional and file size requirements that you have to abide by in order for the avatar to work right. So, PM me, k?

Aaaaand woot for me! Hubby decided that we needed to get a scanner/fax/copier/printer and while we were at it, I talked him into a new flat panel display monitor for my comp. Yay me!

:cheer2:

We looked at each other and laughed abou tgiving each other electronics for our anniversary... again!

Later taters!

Actually, it was me who you quoted. ;) Julia & Nicks mom over on the design boards. She has a TON of designs...but all the birthday ones are really just geared towards kids. I'm just wanting something fun and simple saying it's my birthday, something like,"Celebrating my Birthday at WDW" or something like that. Something simple like Mickey ears, or I like Tink...I'm not creative at all...We'll be at AK on my bday, so maybe something with EE saying that I'll be riding the first time on my birthday, or something. I dunno.... :confused3 Anyone? Ideas??

See, I wondered about that when I typed it in. I had my DH hovering over my shoulder and I said, was it GA or Mommy Poppins that asked about the tshirts? It was late, what can we say?

At any rate, I'll give this some thought.
:surfweb:

Just wanted to say ... "mornin'!" I'm sure everybody's busy this weekend ...
I've got one showing to do at noon and then I'm DONE until Monday.

Decorating eggs this afternoon with my kids and making those "empty tomb" cookies (first time -- I hope it works. Anyone done this?)

The kids want to go to sunrise service tomorrow ... I can't wait! It's outdoors up on a hill at one of the prettiest spots in our town. So it'll be early, but hey, they'd get up early anyway, right?

Wishing you all a blessed and glorious Easter Sunday! :flower2: :flower2:

I have a confession to make. My DH, he, well, is not a diser.[/SIZE] :confused3

And so, I have no one to be all excited :Pinkbounc and overplanning with. For instance, our hotel. We are booked at the Poly. I love the Poly, I do. But I worry that we might like the CR better, or the BW or the Y&B. He just does not have an opinion. I'll say, well the Poly is all tropical and on the monorail and he'll say, that sounds good. And then I'll say but the BW is in walking distance of both EP and the Studio's and he'll say, that sounds good. You see???

And then, when we(I) decided, finally, on the Poly, the whole thing starts over. Fiji, Samoa, Tokelau, 1st flr, 3rd fl, pool view..... all the same response from him.

So, if it won't bore you all too much, I thought I would do my planning with you. Do you all think you could stand :hourglass 7 months of planning with me??

Sheri,

Bring it on!!!!

A little-known fact about Maelstrom.....it's a FastPass!!!

We love the Poly. I look forward to going without kids again someday, but not toooo soon:)!

ED- I finally read the words on your sigi picture. :rotfl2:

LALA- I miss Mel too. And Zzub too. Where is everyone???

Jen/PMM- So glad you learned to use your ipod. I love mine.

Javamom- Happy annivarsary, Mr. Silly and I do the same thing. Electronics are very romantic :rotfl: But it is always what we want, well aside from a trip to the Poly.

sheridac- I love to hear other peoples plans as the evolve. I haunt the Tour Guide Mike forums just hopeing someone will post a 'look over my itinerary' post. Bring it on. I wish we could stay at the Poly, but it will be out of our price range until the kids finish college (in about 14 years).

jamal- I lost some sleep last night catching up on TR's I am loving yours. But I need to either limit myself to one a night or take notes because they start to merge in my head sometimes...

kpk89-Happy Easter to you too. Sunrise services are pretty. I just wish they were not so early.

MommyPoppins- 7?? You have 7 kids under 7 at your house. Wow. Sounds like fun, chaos, but fun.

Horsegirl- Just saying Hi, I like that smile guy.

Who did I forget? Sorry. I really should take notes.

I need to motivate myself to clean up the house. The poor Easter Bunny might trip on something otherwise. And I need to go buy eggs. Both kinds, the ones to boil and color and the ones to fill with candy. I forgot that I threw away all the plastic eggs last year.

LY/MI all my Maelstromer friends. Happy Easter.

I just finished my workout and it reminded me that you had asked for good ipod workout tunes. Here's my list - I get about 45 minutes out of it.

Respect Aretha Franklin
Peace Train Cat Stevens
Down On the Corner Creedence Clearwater Revival
Up Around the Bend Creedence Clearwater Revival
Run Through the Jungle Creedence Clearwater Revival
25 Miles Edwin Starr
I Got You (I Feel Good) James Brown
All Along the Watchtower Jimi Hendrix
(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave Martha Reeves & The Vandellas
Nowhere to Run (Stereo) Martha Reeves & The Vandellas
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction The Rolling Stones
Paint It Black The Rolling Stones
Born to Be Wild Steppenwolf
Brown Eyed Girl Van Morrison

BTW, BTW - to those of you who responded help out with this dis planning addicts need - thanks, thanks, thanks!

Happy Easter everyone!

Love your playlist, Sheri!

Haley; thanks for reading. I am always worried I mix them up, too, but I am reading and loving yours too~~!

I need to go investigate the junk I have bought my overindulged children for Easter. DH asked when the Easter basket became the new Christmas stocking! He'll be glad to know I spent very little $$.

Still no pic of our horsegirl?

Mark, I have thought of you this week as I watch our pastor fly from service to service. It must be hectic, but rich and rewarding too.

Easter's glory to you all!

Jamal

Hi all -- just checking in before we get to dying the eggs (waiting for them to cool enough to dye them -- and then, egg salad tomorrow for lunch, yay!). Nice to see more pics -- Hayley, your daughter looks exactly like you, just a little shorter. Very cute. And I have no idea where that pic was taken. Clues?

Sheridac -- love your playlist, and anyone who has Jimi Hendrix on their Ipod is way cool, as far as I'm concerned.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Haven't had a chance to read the posts yet, but I will catch up next week.

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter and hope everyone's holiday is perfect!

Hey folks - just checking in with an update on our week. It certainly has been busy - though we're taking it easy today. Thought I'd send a couple of pictures of what we've been up to. First, these are pictures from our Maundy Thursday service - everything starts in our fellowship hall, where the "innkeeper" comes in and welcomes everyone to his inn. He then tells the story of what happened on the night of the Last Supper, before Jesus was arrested. He then teels the folks that the "upper room" is set up just like it was on that night - with a chair in the middle for Jesus - has a purple robe and a crown of thorns on it. Also, Judas' chair has been turned over, as has his wine glass when he got up in a hurry to leave. The people then can come to the table and experience Holy Communion there sitting at the table. They then are invited to leave in silence respectful of the meaning of the night.

Here's a couple of pics from our Sanctuary - though the first ones dark - this is the view of the table as it's set up...

church.jpg

and here's a picture of the bread and wine (grape juice) in front of Jesus' chair...

church2.jpg

Then on Good Friday, we have a bunch of folks portray characters who might have been at the crucifixioin that night. Last night we had Nicodemus, Satan, a little girl (age 8 or so), Mary Magdelene, Mary Jesus' mother. They give a 3 minute monologue sharing in the first person what they think their character would say as they watched Jesus die. As they finish their monologue, they blow out the candle they are holding. When Mary does hers, she blows out her candle leaving the sanctuary in complete darkness - symbolizing the death of Jesus. In the dark I sing "Were you there when they crucified my Lord?" Its a pretty powerful service - with many tears shed!

It ends with a handwashing service of 3 basins.

The first is Pliate's Basin - warm water symbolizing Pilates easy aquiescence to the wishes of the Pharisees. Ou dry your hands on a red towel remembering how he "wiped the blood of Jesus" off his hands.

The second is the Redmption Basin - warm perfumed water symbolizing ho weasy and comfortable sin is sometimes. YOu wipe your hands on a white towel symbolizing being cleansed of sin through Christ's sacrifice.

The third basin is the service basin - ice cold water reminding us that sometimes as we are called into a life of service that its not always comfortable, but necessary. You then dry your hands on dish towels representing a reminder of service.

It's a pretty neat service - my favorite we do all year. May be more than you wanted to know, but everyone else is 'resting' and I can't sleep. So I thought I'd DIS for a minutes!

By the way, I agree that Maelstrom...IS a Fastpass?!

However, I would add this...

Jesus...IS a Fastpass!!

Go to church somewhere tomorrow everyone!

Blessings!
Mark

Hi Mark,
I don't know if we've officially "met" but, :wave2: Hi! I'm kpk. I hope you don't mind if I share your Good Friday service with our pastor. That service is always different at our church (sometimes led by the youth, sometimes the deacons, etc) but always symbolic -- I know they'd love the handwashing part. This year's was based upon the final 7 utterances of Jesus, and involved blowing out a candle after each one. Very powerful. Then the one consistent part is that everyone files out silently and walks up to the Meetinghouse Hill, carrying a cross. Everyone takes turns helping to carry it and then the cross is placed on the hill, to remain until the sunrise service on Easter.

Anyway, you sound like a great Rev, and very devoted to your work. AND, you love Disney. How cool is that? :cool1:

Peace,

Marky Mark, I have to agree with kpk89...that sounds like an awesome service. I know yall have been working hard on it and I feel sure your hard work will pay off. Sounds very moving and emotional. I love the pictures you posted too. If I were planning on being in Georgia tomorrow, I'd be there. :thumbsup2

Thought you'd get a kick out of this. DD has just moved up from reciting the 'Now I lay me down to sleep' prayer at night. She is now doing more talking to God in her prayers instead of just repeating a memorized prayer. This is how it went the other night..."Dear God, uhm, I love you and uhm thank you for my Mom and my Dad and my brother and uhm I love you and please send your Angels to watch over me and I love you and I love you more than Sat'n. Amen."

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, I'm off to dye Easter eggs with the kids. Just got back from the fair they have here in town. Those things will drain your wallet faster than a full grown Mouse we all know and love.
