Oh Mark.....can it be a Gator and Seminole can get along??!!! Great song babe!

You know, this is funny, I've been thinking all day about saying that we should write this down - a Gator and a Seminole agreeing about something (yes, I think you have had HUGE nuggets to say the things you've said on the Trip reports board). We agree.

History has been made folks! All because they decided to shut down some trip reports on an internet Discussion board.

Wow. And I'm a part of it. Who would have thunk it, Hmmm?

Blessings!
Mark

ok - is no one up with me???? I am trying hard to cater to Charming and his whole knee thing....(I know there is some pain there) while trying to root for Washington......no go.......

i just been reading & figuring out where mel and her "over the waterfall"
gang went too. i just discover this section. if i known bout this , i
would have did my intro here instead of gummy up yours and v'chick
t.r. . iam saying this now because i wasn't trying to clog your reports.
sorry. and some things didn't come out what i was intending because
i was jumping on too many topics. sorry,again... but i got to say, to
do squeak, squeak "right", requires gettin jiggy wit it! ok? ever heard of
"mama lion"? she had alot of "heart"..and.."can't u see"...your dear
'bama friend.."only come out at night"...or he be gator bait. just a
"jukebox hero" isn't "kansas" but a "foreigner" playing in "boston"
because they're waiting for a "girl like you" . and i am not into
"gino vannelli" 's new fix for 76 but "in-a-gadda-da-vida"...because
i was at the same "garden party" with ricky nelson. :hippie:
p.s...just funning. however, is it true "over the waterfall" is a
fast pass? if so then i confess...one really does learn the darnest things
on these boards. isn't wdw "rare earth?" :smokin:.

Lillygator,

What's up with your dh's knee? My dh had his replaced in November. He had a slew of complications and it sucks. You'd think they could handle a little pain, but that'd be too easy.

LilGrumpy,

HUH?

My name is Mark and I can not lie. You other brothers can't deny.
That a little bitty gnome tied together with two more and a big ol' bear.

With white up in his hair.

Can make a real cool ride.

Even if the Mel don't like,

I don't really care if the dump shop fare means I have to pay like a million rays to keep my family foced (that's short for foused - let's face it I am a white boy who can't jump) on the the goal of being all stoked.

'Bout going to Disney with the hope of winning at the game of life and getting finally meet the prince, who will once day get the...

Well doggone it I have run out of rhymes. So I am finally going to try and go to sleep and be able to function tomorrow. Got a wedding tomorrow night after all. Furnerl yesterday and a wedding tomorrow. You know, even in the midst of death...God is still amazingly good!

Blessings everyone!
Mark

Hey Mr. Mark Maelstromer-

Stick to ya day job. :teeth:

I have to say that like others, I hope that you will continue your trip report. They are really funny and I just like hearing from such a down to earth preacher man. :thumbsup2

Still waitin' to hear the unwatered down version of you losin' it with Wesley with the Poopy Pirate Pants. DH says I water him down too in my reports so don't feel bad. :rolleyes1

Oh and one more thing.....

Maelstrom.....

Lillygator - my DP is going into hospital on Tuesday for a knee operation, she really needs a new one but they won't do that as she is too young, don't get me started on our National Health System, lol. Instead they are "cleaning it out" whatever that means, and attempting to create some scar tissue in her cartlidge so she has less pain and more mobility :worried:

Mark - loving the rap but... stick to the day job! You know, I'm not a religious person but you could make me want to go to church!

Lil' Grumpy - welcome ;)

Mel - can't wait to read the rest of the story.

Don't know how much I'll be able to check in this weekend, have a good one Maelstromers!
Sam

On the subject of knees...

I have two bad ones due to meniscal tears in both and am also too young to have 'em replaced. I did a lot of research on the net (paging Dr. Laura) and thought my only recourse was surgery. But I was wrong.

Hey, it doesn't happen often, but I'm glad it happened this time. :goodvibes

My doc is giving me injections of a marcaine/lidocaine/depomedrol cocktail, and IT WORKS! I can have them about every 6 weeks if needed, and it sure beats having surgery. Of course, he doesn't promise that I'll NEVER have to have 'em "cleaned out" as he calls it, but for now it's working beautifully.

Just something for folks to check into as a possible alternative to surgery.

And, Mark...it'd be a long commute from Florida to go to your church, but I sure wish I could. You da preacha man! :smooth:

I'm off to South Cackilacky for the weekend...don't have too much fun without me!

Good morning Maelstromers...

Anyone have any suggesstions for controlling 11 six year old girls??
My oldest DD (age 7) is going to be in a Lip Sync contest...with 10 of her friends. We have their routine all worked out but...man do they need practice. Now, trying to be the supportive mom that I am...I offered OUR house as a place to practice later today. (What was I THINKING?????)

They are Lip Syncing to Gwen Steffani...Hollaback girll...a song that I am not sure how Mel will feel about...
"It's Bananas! B  A  N  A  N  A  S!"

It is actually going to be quite cute...they are all going to dress up in cheerleading costumes and do a little cheer routine to the music. So, what's the problem?? Well, we had a practice at the school yesterday, not our first one...we've been practicing for weeks actually. Up until yesterday they were doing pretty well...but...yesterday it was like none of them cared.

I am usually a pretty fun, happy person, but yesterday I was pretty fed up with the whole thing. It was one of those situations where the other mom's...who have done next to nothing up to this point, wanted to help FIX what was wrong. Not sure about you guys, but I know that if I want my kids to do something...especially when in front of all their best friends...I cannot be the one to tell them to do it. It always works better when it comes from someone else....know what I mean? Anyway...we (my neighbor and I) decided to have a get together at my house today...I am just hoping I can get some of these girls to actually LISTEN today.....(we only have 2 weeks to preformance night and a few of the girls still need work on their moves...and they all need to work on the lip syncing part!! which is really weird...since they all know the song)

Thanks for listening Maelstromers...and any ideas you have would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Now come on. It wasn't that bad was it?

And I will finish the trip report sometime soon. Been a very busy few weeks. But I'll get to it! Thanks for the encouragement. Goodness knows we can't do it on the trip reports board anymore! hee hee hee!

Blessings!
Mark

Charming had tears on his meniscus.....they went it and cleaned them up...also his doctor said there were signs of arthritis....I guess his ball playing days are over....he'll have to stick to this Charming gig. Today he seems better just unable to walk by himself and at 6'4", 250 - I am having a hard time helping him!

Actually, I believe that's Marky Mark Maelstromer.

Morning all! I have serious reservations about posting these pictures, but to prove that we are true Maelstromers, have no shame, but have lots of, ba . . . .errr, courage, here they are!

I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday!

I don't have time to read the last like 5 pages today. Just wanted to let everyone know my LEEP went well. Just have to wait now to make sure they got everything.

I hope I never have to go through it again though. Everything was going fine, well as fine as it can go when your naked from the waist down and laying with your feet in the air. The Dr. was really nice, I'd never seen her before, with all my pregnancys I've just seen my midwife, and then after my bad PAP they sent me to the NP, so anyway, she was nice and had hip Lisa Loeb glasses which I liked. Anyway, before she got there the nurse is there and this other younger girl and she's talking to me about the procedure and putting the sticky pad on my thigh to ground me so I don't get zapped. I told her, "I brough my DH, he's an electrician, to make sure you do this right." ;) She says, "I'm blah blah and this(points to the other girl) is blah blah, we're learning, do you mind if we watch?" Of course I mind, I mind that the Dr. has to watch for goodness sake..but at the same time, who cares, I've had four babies, let just move this party to the waiting room so everyone can learn.

The Dr. comes in and starts, she puts the numbing stuff on my cervix, you know so I don't feel them electrically cutting park of my cervix out. Then out of no where, I feel like I'm dying. I can see my heart beating through my shirt, I can barely hear them talking through th eloud hum. I'm shaking. I say,"Um, I'm not feeling so well." She said it shoulodn't last long, its just from the epinephrine that's in this med. That would have been nice to know. I thought aI was having an allergic reaction to the numbing stuff and I'm dying. So it lasted like 5+ minutes, which wasn't "not long" in my book. DH said I was really pale, and he was freaking because he HATES it when I pass out. I pass out after my babies, and well I kinda like it because when you come around you feel like you've just slept for ages and your all rested. :cloud9: Him, not so much. The nurses and Drs. don't like it either... \

Anyway, all done, not too bad, no pain, not even now. So we're off to a small town parade today, which sadly won't have spectromen or mickey mouse, so my kids will probably hate it....spoiled. ;)

Then off to Mom's for a afternoon away from here. Church tomorrow, dont think I'll be able to make it back till Monday. Which means we'll have to take a day off school so I can catch up. hehe. J/k...I think.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Mel: LOVE the new thread name!

Laaaaaaaaaaaalaaaaa. Lalalalala. LaLa. What are you DOING????? For the Love of God, woman! It appears you've been giving out "nanas" left, right and centre?! Please, please... can we not give the dreaded creepy dee bananamen "cutesy-poo" nicknames like "nanas"? Geez. AND... I've never seen so MANY bananamen in the course of two and a half Dispages before. What gives? Bad LaLa, Bad LaLa. (It also appears that you DO belong over here!)

WELL ~

You all must LOVE Bananamen.

Along with... Maelstrom.

so

A bunch of you really like Maelstrom the FASTPASS ride? Huh. What gives? I'm SHOCKED, SHOCKED. You are all getting Viking Punishment. Looks like we're gonna have to order more stinkin' SWEATERS than t-shirts. I'm literally shaking my up here. In Canada. But... guess what? I have a confession, too. I think I'll be riding Maelstrom as much as Gary next trip in May. Maelstrom is in my brain. It's terminal.

Lillygator: "HOBBLE" your poor DH to the beach!!!! Ha,ahhhh... ha!!!!

Mark: Was that rap song of yours done to the tune of "I like big butts... and I cannot lie"...? It WAS... wasn't it? That made me laugh because Calvin sings that song all the time. He LOVES it. The General, though, not so much. I don't know why? She's got a big butt.

SNAP: The DBF was hilarious. HILARIOUS!

And... I had to laugh ZZUBie... uhhh, ZZUB... 'cause I had the funniest mental picture of you standing up in church during Mark's sermon and yelling "Maelstrom!" like a DBF. I don't know what you look like, though. So guess who you looked like in my mental picture? And... Mark looked like Mark, 'cause we all know what he looks like. What about you? It wasn't Richard Gere, Gene Hackman or the dreaded Gene Gere. Let me tell ya.

Ohhhhhhhhhh... "I have a big crush... and I cannot lie"!!!!!! Sing it with me now. NOOOOOO!!!! Not YOU, Mark! That would be creepy dee. Alrighty. I'm just kidding. Just trying to make you laugh. I think.

Now, saving the BEST for LAST.

Lil' Grumpy: You found your way. What can I say? Welcome, welcome... my friend. I thought I was gonna have to post you on the Jimi Hendrix thread so you could find us. You are REALLY gettin' jiggy. Wit it. Wow. I cannot believe all the music references (I think) that you managed to fit in one sentence. Blows my mind. Clean away. You were RAPPIN' too... weren't you? You WERE. I know you were. But... I'm glad you found that green smokin' guy. Anyway.

You really didn't know that Maelstrom was a FASTPASS, by now. Did you?

Glad you joined the Maelstromers. Very.

Squeak squeak. Mel.

Hi Mommy(Poppins)! Glad you survived. You know... there was a part of that post that I wanted to quote... SO BAD. And then make a joke. Which may, perhaps, have verged on slightly off-colour. Yep.

so

I managed to restrain myself.

By sitting on my hands. I'm typing with a pen in my mouth. And sweating. 'Cause it ain't the easiest way to type.

Anyway... I'm already in enough trouble.

On a steel horse I ride. I'm Wanted... WANTED... dead or alive!

Gotta go and pick carpet samples, now. Whooo hoo! Mel.
