I really don't think they are going to stop posting here
But I am not sure
I don't think we can say much about the details at this point
PM me once you get there and I can tell you what I know

Morning MAELSTROMERS  :banana

Wake up! We are on page 2 and I already had coffee.

Todays flavor - All Star Movies Mug from 2003.

For all that are interested. Today we will find out when the directions say 6 to 12 hours to assemble, what exectly that means. We are putting together a new swingset for my grandbabies. Took us 4 hours to go through the parts list. I may not be back for a week.

Rhonda - try to get some work done.

LaLa - I am always more confused after Lost than before. But gotta love it.

Polymelonmom - Bread is our enemy. I am feeling it with ya. And this old girl taint ever gonna be seen in a bikini. Not even in the shower, of my own house, in the dark, with the doors locked, and nobody home.

Gotta run. Need a level, screwdriver and probably something stronger than coffee. :moped:

Bikinis....what're they?? It's so sad how carbs have to go as we get older. I LOVE me some bread, oh, and pie and chips, whatever that means.

Have a good day everybody! :goodvibes

Good Morning Maelstromers

I'll be busy today, hopefully I won't come back to 22 pages here and 30 pages at the coffee shop. If so, try not talk about anything interesting or important, like cheese, gary sinise and Nobody say- Hot Snot !!!

Everybody have a good day! :wave2:

Well Hot Snot

;)

Mornin Maelstromers!

Anybody home? Oh, I get it. Everybody's standin' in line for coffee. It is early and all....

Have a good day everybody.

HELLO, HELLO, HELLO-lala demy la la lah. Okay judas priest and haleyb started the other place, when I went there I saw a familiar java joe and I went and asked others to join for coffee. I think this is easier to follow, and yet there is a certain wonderful type of fresh air to breathe at the coffee shop, you know all those beans. So I have 2 windows up, and just go back and forth. I am going to attempt to read a few trs today, yours being one of them, and I think SNAP has one too. MELONMOM, MOMMYP, GEORGIA A-please join us for a cup of joe, and anyone else......

Well, with an invitation like that, I will pop over and see what it's all about, but I'm sort of with LaLa and the others wondering, "Why?" I hope to be enlightened when I go to get me some Joe (with extra sugar and cream, why drink it if it doesn't taste like candy?)

I missed the goings on yesterday, and here is why:

At 4:30p on Tuesday, I received an e-mail from my M-I-L, yada yada yada, and I have to go to the great city (Atlanta) tomorrow to see a specialist about my pre-cancerous throat condition.

Dadgummit! Being the dutiful DIL that I am, I respond asking her if she needed someone to go with her. Mind, I was already devising plans of torture in my mind for the colleague who left for DISNEY without telling me and told his agency that I would cover Court for them! It took MIL at least 20 minutes (and four more e-mails) to decide that she did want me to go with her. And I DIDN’T talk her into it in the least, I was trying to talk her out of it. So at 4:53 (my workday ends at 5:00), she decides that I need to accompany her. DADGUMMIT!

THEN I had to call my sister office and find someone to cover the Court that I was covering for someone else. And THEY don’t actually work for either my agency or the sister agency for which I was covering! (Confusing enough?) Crisis averted by 5:05 and notifications sent to all relevant parties.

So MIL calls me on my way home to discuss plans for the next day. Her appointment was at 2:00 p.m. It takes 2 hours to get there. It was pure folly for me to ask what time she wanted to leave. The answer was obvious. I should have known. Well, exactly, we were going to leave at 9 a.m.! She wanted to stop and do some shopping on the way, naturally! (Okay, as an aside, I have placed myself on a very tight non-frivolous spending budget b/c I decided I was wasting too much money. Plus, yesterday was the day BEFORE my pay and my husbands pay was set to hit the bank, so I didn’t have any spare cash anyway, unless I irresponsibly pulled it out of the money market.) Shopping! Great idea! I’ve got NOTHING better to do!

Then, get this, we make it to the big city, and she didn’t bring either the directions to or the address of the doctor’s office where she had the appointment. Navigation by stars??? (Her daughter, my SIL, is a PA for a plastic surgeon in the same area. She was supposed to go with us. MIL knows how to get to her office. SIL got stuck in surgery. We were supposed to be at the doctor’s in 20 minutes and it was a 10 minute trip from SIL’s building. I advised looking up the address & phone number, calling and getting directions. It took 7.5 minutes to decide that that might be a good idea. REALLY?!? THERE IS NO FASTPASS TO THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE!)

Right around the time we got the phone # and called for directions, SIL called and met us at the door to her building and came with us after all. Thank goodness. She stayed in the room with MIL to hear the myriad symptoms. I got to read Time in the lobby. I liked where I was a lot better than where she was!

We made it back home without incident. Although I did get to hear allllll the dirt on my husband’s family. The trip was educational after all!

But I would still rather be playing with all of you. So, since everyone seems to be in the mood for different coffee, I may have to be brave and cross the street to the "other" coffeeshop! :surfweb:

GA-A: What a day! Yep, think I'd've rather been at work, too!!

I can't get in to play anywhere else yet, so here I am. I'm with some of you, though, I don't know if I have time for MORE sites!!

Have a good day, all!

I won't leave you alone babe! I'm here. Kinda.

You know, I do NOT feel like working today. and I want Carrabbas for dinner tonight. Whatcha think?

hee hee
Me

I have seen a couple people over there saying that they are going to Maelstrom at the coffee shop and trip report over here.

So far that place has been a big hit

Most people don't want to do two threads so they are staying over there

That's all I know

Rhonda - I made bread pudding. The rest of us swell when we eat it, so would you like some. I had to make it for DH cause he is really trying to put together the swing set. I don't think I have ever loved his bald self more than right now. This is worse than trying to get a Barbie out of the box in less than 5 minutes.

Gotta go, DH needs a level.

Tell Mark, I so loved his inspirational post. Wish he would write down his sermons. When I come south I am so stopping in to hear him in person. :grouphug:

I, too, am waiting for permission to play elsewhere. Looks like Grammy got in, though. Doesn't anyone still like the coffee over here?

GADISGIRL - was Mark involved at all with THE funeral yesterday? I saw an awful lot of police cars driving south yesterday as we were driving north. My husband decided not to go (he has a huge test in his college class today that he needed to study for), but I think most of his department was there to show their support. So scary and sad.

Well, Grammy, there are only two bread puddings that I've liked, and they are both at WDW. One is at 'Ohana's, the other is at Park Fare. But I'd be willing to try yours!!

DF and Marky Mark are supposed to be putting together this mammoth playground thing for Wesley this weekend. We'll see how THAT goes!!

Come on down, anything to increase worship attendance (and offering! oh my, did I SAY that?!?)~ROFL!!!

Mark has lots of words of wisdom. I'm sure he'll continue posting little pearls for you guys from time to time!

Mark, NO Carrabba's. Not if you want to go back to WDW this year!! :rolleyes2

Okay, anybody been to DW during (gasp) Spring Break?

DH is getting a wild hair. Are we crazy?

Hey - I wasn't in THE Funeral. Mine was a lady who died of cancer. She was a member of another church I served a few years back, but wanted me to be a part of the service. I was at the hospital (Medical Center) though when THE Funeral was taking place. I missed the traffic by about 30 seconds. It was so sad about that officer. I'm assuming your husband is in law enforcement?

Blessings!
Mark

No, he had a different funeral. When he was at another church in Macon years ago (before we were dating), he went to a presentation on gangs. They are prevalent here in Macon. How is it in WR? Some really scary stuff. Hate to say it, but I hope we are gone from this area before Wesley gets into middle school. Elementary school I don't mind, we are very near one of the best in the county. But after that, whoowhee, it gets frightening!!

I'm not in yet, either, as you can tell. So we'll just play here! :teeth:

MarkyMark and Rhonda -
It is easier to talk to you both at once (please tell me you're not communicating via computer but are physically only down the hall from each other?)

Yes, hubby is WRPD, but no longer on the road (he does all the computer forensic work - got any questions about how to catch pedophiles? he's your man. Needless to say, my kids will NEVER, EVER be allowed privacy, especially on the computer.)

I'm sure the traffic was crazy down there yesterday. But it sounds like it was a good service. It is always heartwarming to see all the support an incident like this evokes, but I sure wish there was more of it on a day-to-day basis. Macon's crime, gun, and gang problem is WAY more out of hand than down here. Rhonda, you don't need to move completely away from the area, just a teensy bit further south. And we have fabulous schools, too!

Ah well. It is getting a little lonely here. But it is a nice lonely with ya'll to hang out with. :)

LaLa - Grab it and run! My husband woke me up sometime last week with a "Do you want to ride Splash Mountain today?" And I almost jumped out of my skin - I was about to bound out of bed and throw some stuff in a bag - then realized that I had Court that day and couldn't (incidentally, this was also the morning after the officer had been shot - we hadn't heard the news yet.) Ever since he did that, I've been trying to figure out if I can wheedle a short trip before the blow-out in October. Probably not.

Nope, we're both at work, 15 miles apart! And we only have one computer at home, so you'll never find us doing that kind of stuff!!

By the way...I got in. But I'll still play here, too!

Maelstrom!

To the Maelstromers!

Rhonda and Mark... do you both realize that you posted your last posts at exactly the SAME time?

Weirdy- weird- weird.

You know how they say that married folks eventually start to look alike?

It's kinda like that. I think.

But you two don't look too much alike.

Yet.

Heh, heh.

I've gotta go out for a bit.

GeorgiaA!!!!!! I gotta say... shopping with the MIL isn't MY favourite way to spend the day, either. In fact, I'd rather be drawn and quartered. I think.
