Ya, but I think the frats are kind of creepydeepy because I think they are more than a team on AR And all that Frat boy stuff I do think they protest too much!

Did you see CBS Good Morning? BJ and Tyler were all dressed up to get their check. BJ was decked out in purple robes - NICE!

And Ray proposed to Yolanda - total surprise - it was cute!

PP - that picture (and recipe) is just SO WRONG on so many levels, I can't bring myself to put it up again. (Ewwww, I mean, really, EWWWWWWWWW!) I added it to the recipe list, though, for posterity.

YAK - trust me, it's a priority. When I couldn't get on last night I was willing to accept it as a cosmic sign that I needed to get some sleep. 2 days in a row, though? That's NOT a cosmic sign, it is a shift in the force which I must battle.

MP - Wow, those pictures show what a close call it was. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse than it was! Glad you're safe.

Ed (and others, my memory is so bad!) - hope you are still safe too, and that the water might start receding one of these days. I remember our 100 year flood in 1994 - not fun.

Whether we are Newbies or Lurkers, Old Veterans or new, talented writers or not, we are all part of the "Circle of Life". We must all be excellent to each other! We must set no expectations and no goals for eachother!

There is a scene from the movie Dodge Ball that goes something like this:

"I find that if I never set any goals for myself, I never get disapointed, and so far that has worked out great for me."

We should always act like we are on the spice.

We laugh together, cry together, Joke together, type together and spice together.

We take part in this because we all have needs whether we need to by needy or we need to share.

I once too was sad because no one noticed my post or PMed me.
now, when I type, I type for myself, I type for my country, I type for my dog, I type for Lou's dog, I type for the little dust particles that you see in your house as the sun shines through the window, I type for finger exercise, I type because when I am typing no one can interrupt my conversation.

Oh God. I just realized I'm mental. Is there a therapist in the house?

I'm finally getting a new computer (so I can mess up the keyboard and monitor all I like)

It was ordered yesterday and should arrive in the next week.

This is monumental because I'm still using my old machine from 1998 It must be older than some of the Maelstromers! Older than stink! Older than AK maybe?

Talk about getting with the program!

PLUS - I'm gonna get me a digital camera too! Maybe I'll post pictures of our July trip (but I'm kinda shy.....)

So excited and so much to learn!

Kaleb is sick again, fever and vomiting. Last night I was up with Ethan(because he always gets in bed with me and then I have to move him to the floor) and I heard Kaleb in his bed puking his guts out. I think he would have just done back to sleep if I hadn't heard him and gone in there...poor baby. All this vomiting that's been going around lately got me to think about what causing vomiting. This is what I found when I googled it...

Most people think vomiting is controlled by the stomach, but a special area of your brain called the vomiting center (of course!) is really in charge of throwing up. You can tell what triggers vomiting by where the vomiting center gets its information:

Stomach and intestines (infection, injury, or food irritation)
Inner ear (dizziness, motion sickness)
Brain (head injury, brain infections or tumors, migraine)

When the vomiting center senses problems such as those above, it initiates the vomiting sequence. Without effort on your part, the windpipe closes and the abdominal wall and diaphragm muscles tighten suddenly and forcefully. The stomach itself is limp, but when squeezed forcefully by the abdominal wall, it ejects any food or fluid up the esophagus and out

People need to let me know if they want updated lists at any point. (I'm not begging to send them, but if you were gone and need to catch up, or if you want to print stories to show your husband that your cyber-friends are really harmless and that it will be safe to take your children to meet them in October, or something along those lines, then, I'm just saying . . .)
