Thank you so much for the poem. I'll print it out and add it to the others you have written for me thru out the years. I have always thought you should have become a writer. I know you opted for a real job with steady pay so I could stay home with our girls. I thank you for that. As with any marriage, that is worth anything, there are times that have been tough. When the girls were tiny and rarely sleeping comes to mind. I think what has seen us thru and continues to see us thru is that we are truly friends first. That is our foundation.

It is easy to fall in love but it is work to STAY in love. Thankfully it isn't too hard to stay in love with you, you make it easy for me. I thank you for that too. Happy Anniversary.

I just barely got caught up from the last two days. There is a bad storm here and my internet goes out!!!! Tink my heart bleeds for you love!

Now I have MORE pages to get caught up on and my DH writes me a poem and I can't see it for 4 hours!!!!

my kids are driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been raining here since forever. Can't remember when we last saw the sun. School was cancelled today because most of the state of Massachusetts is under water. (Seriously, state of emergency.) And I was gonna take the kids to gymnastics today, to get them out of the house. But the roads (the open ones) are gridlocked and a 2 hour drive is NOT something I need to put myself through.

The kids are losing it. They cleaned their rooms for FUN. That is just WRONG.

Maybe we should play count the raindrops...

Anyway, with the strep... that means I'll be home from work tomorrow. Which means I will likely not have time to work on my trip report. But I'll try. I think I might get another bit posted in just a few minutes.

I'd be happy too. And your clients would probably be happy too, b/c I'm fairly certain that my cost per minute is lower than yours. But then they might be unhappy at the conclusion of the case, since I don't know how to do anything but put criminals in jail, and I sincerely hope that your clients aren't criminals. That would be bad.

And ZZUB, just wanted you to know that I cried a little when I read about your solution. I wish I had an eloquent way of telling you how touching your love for your wife and daughter is. The special kind of bond you have with both shines through so brightly that it is blinding, in a good kind of way. As LaLa would say, it makes me yellow!

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day yesterday. We moved more stuff. Yuck. They took me out to breakfast, though. And I got that hydrangea that I wanted, plus an orange tree and another tomato plant.

Oops, I almost forgot my FAVORITE gift of all (I picked it out) - a fleur de lis door knocker in brass.

We are going out tonight because DS is getting an award for the pastel he did of Goofy in the Art show! Looks liike he might have a little of his Momma (besides the eye color) in him after all!

I suppose it is a distinct possibility, since I don't know where Audrey picked it up either. She is the first in the rounds at daycare this time. Have you been letting Wesley have close contact with the computer? I confess to finding my child with her fingers on mine, and then those go in her mouth.

We're back! Never did see any happyhaunts (that we knew of)...but we did see this while we were checking out of Mouse Gear one night:

Anyway, MAELSTROM!

This renders me speechless. There are truly no words for that. OK - maybe there are...but I won't say them. Often at Disney, my husband and I look at folks that are "oddly" dressed and wonder how they could have looked at their closet, and of all the things that they had to choose from, thought what they are wearing was the best option. This is a perfect example.

I feel like I am eavesdropping on your anniversary dinner - ya'll ARE so sweet!!! And it is still cool that you've known each other for so long!

In other news, and along the Mother's Day thoughts, my daughter made a card for me in school that was a "mad libs" of sorts. They were supposed to fill in the sentences.

I am 36 years old and I weigh 73 pounds. I'll take that - I'm sure some kids erred on the other side of that. What I don't understand is why that question needed to be asked.

My mom is very smart. One thing she does very well is cook. She cooks the best food. Again, I'll take this. Not completely true, but I'll take it. But I turn the page and they were supposed to write one of those paragraphs that describes how something is done. My daughter described my cooking of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. "First, she takes the macaroni and pours it in a pan..." My culinary skills are to be admired. I'm sure her teacher was very impressed.

I didn't post an update...I've been soooo busy! But here goes...the continuing saga of...(sappy soap opera music here)..."Sassy SNAP and the Charming Counselor-at-Law."

We're both very busy (he travels quite a bit, and I'm doing the second job thing), but we've been having lunch together two or three times a week and trading emails at the speed of...well...a Maelstromer! He sent me flowers last Friday and got major points for remembering that pink Daisies are my favorite. I'm going to be mature here and not gush about how smart and funny and charming and silly and well-spoken and cute he is!

So far, so good....now if I can just get him to Disney!
