She's never been??!! Talk her into it! I love the Red Rock formations right outside of Vegas. And I love that cheesy old west town out there too! We went hiking in the desert and saw a waterfall there...that was awesome. We also saw wild burros! That was neat.

And of course we did all of the stuff on the strip! And we even came out a bit ahead when we did a bit of gambling! Dh was there for a week for business...so I tagged along with him (we only had one little one at that time so he just got packed up and brought along ).

I haven't been............

When I was a kid, fishing was the one productive activity we liked.............productive because it brought home food............we had one perch pond where we could just throw our rusty hooks in and catch 'em. We had cane poles.........it was hard for me to get used to using a reel.............

BIG lightning.............

I don't eat anything that swims....we we throw everything back!!!

I lived in Michigan so I know what you are going thru. I understand.

Cy, did you grow up in Michigan?? Where did you live there? I grew up in WI and took a lot of trips to MI.

We were so poor we went jug fishing.......ever done that? You take the old style quart Clorox jugs after they are empty and put a marble in them. Tie your string around the neck, under the lid. Put your bait on, and toss em out of the boat. And wait. When we heard a jug rattling, we just trolled over and pulled them out. Fishing was serious business back then. It fed the whole extended family many a meal!

I was out there for 5 years ('99 -'04). Lived in Manistee, do you know where that is?

DW and the fam love Chicago, our fav big city. Did I mention that my team killed the Bears to day!!!!!

You certainly are invited... the plan is that we all win the lottery and move there... but I guess we could do some world traveling too!

Dh wants to go to Hawaii and Alaska...............I'd go, but I really want to go to Scotland and Greece............

We always went at night......Not sure why.....I am thinking it was probably illegal.......but one night, I had fallen asleep, and I woke up to the men in the boat screaming and jumping around.....we had been underneath some trees and a snake fell out of a tree into the boat.....
