It was in Tulsa, but the last day was Sunday. The one in OKC was before the one in Tulsa. I remember because there was a stabbing at the one in OKC and it was all over the news. :sad2:

Wow, I never heard that.

I just wondered because I thought they had one in OKC and wondered if you drove over or if they had another there........do you live actually IN Tulsa??

Yes, but barely. I live on the Tulsa, Broken Arrow line. Of course I doubt you know where Broken Arrow is, so that was just useless information... :teeth:

But OKC is a couple of hours away, so we just go to the one in Tulsa. I have only been to OKC twice, and have never even visited the Federal Building Memorial. Isn't that pitiful?

Dh's sister lives in Sapulpa......................she never comes to any of the family things though, and doesn't invite over much, so I've only been there a couple of times.

My brother lived in Tulsa for a while, and we used to come to see him there and go to the movies. I had a scare there while pregnant with Little Son and had to go to emergency......................

I have no idea why I'm posting random Tulsa factoids................ :confused3

I won't visit it. I substituted in that daycare. I heard the names are there. I prefer to not know what happened to MY kids......................... :guilty:

Oh my. I didn't live here when it happened, but I have heard that it is a very powerful experience. I don't blame you for not wanting to know....

Pshh. DH will be buried here. He will never move. He was laid off this year, and ended up taking a 30% pay cut to stay in Tulsa. :sad2:

I had already moved South when it happened.............Big son was 2 weeks old and I was on maternity leave..........when they showed the building on the news (national) at first they didn't know what building it was, but I did............I called dh and told him. They didn't know there was a daycare there for hours of coverage.

I did hear that they'd had a change in management (had changed the name too) and a lot of the kids had been pulled in protest..............one reason why so few casualties of the children........................

Wow. I vividly remember the news coverage, and I didn't have any ties whatsoever to this state, or anyone in it at the time. I can't imagine being in your shoes. :guilty:

It was pretty hard with a new baby and those hormones anyway, and then I was TRYING to get information..........all the phone lines to Oklahoma were tied up for HOURS...............I knew the redheaded kids that lived, but I hadn't taken care of them..........they were both younger than the ones I had...the boy was in the younger toddlers, he used to walk around holding his bottle by the nipple in his teeth............the baby was just an infant, and I don't even know her name. Both had that bright red hair and BOTH survived..............

I worked in the older toddlers............I just subbed for the afternoon people that would call in, but I subbed every day practically. It got to where they just told me not to call anymore, just come in. I remember so much about the kids, the rooms, the playground........we had to go downstairs and out by the parking garage.................
