I get bronchitis pretty regularly too, once a year, probably. It sucks!

What are your kids up to today? Mine are playing outside now. DD5 finally fell asleep after the huge tantrum and now she's sweet as pie!

Don't you just love naps - I think I would if my kids would actually take them :rotfl: DD2 (Kate) will still take one, though short, but DD5 (Ally) refuses - she'll actually lay on her bed and sing to herself so she won't fall asleep :confused3

Kate is right now sitting beside me eating her chicken nuggets - all the kid will eat - and watching a little bear tape. I just sent Ally and Henry out on a daddy-daughter date :lovestruc

Ainslee never takes naps either. I think she might not be feeling well, cause that tantrum she threw was quite excessive.

What's for dinner tonight? I have not decided yet.

Henry and Al are going to our local hibachi restaurant, so I asked them to bring me a plate ( I LOOOOOOOOVE Hibachi)!

Are you a cooker (I'm not - we'd exist on mac & cheese and toast if DH didn't cook)...

I can cook, when I feel like it...which is never. :teeth: Since I'm working now, I do crock pot meals, frozen meals, canned meals, whatever's easy. I love having hot dogs for dinner! I'm a wimp. When I work, I have a hard time wanting to do ANYTHING else. i need a lot of downtime. I never want to go out and do something if I know I have to go to work the next day.

I'm so glad to hear someone else say that - my Mom was a SAHM (which I am eternally grateful for, btw) - and she has no idea why I want downtime...it is completely blowing her mind that I would "abandon my little babies" to go to WDW alone for 5 days...the big downside of working from home is that you rarely "shut down" - I check email from the time I get up until I go to bed, including weekends. Then I spend time with Henry and the girls because I love them so much, but that leaves no time for me...

Exactly! When I have to go to my kids' school things at night (like Back to school night) I just dread going, but I know I need to because I want to keep up on everything they are doing in school, of course. Weekends are the BEST!!

YES!!! :woohoo:

I told DD12 to make some Top Ramen for the girls so I don't have to cook. I made brownies, that's cooking enough for one day! ;)

How many kids do you have (and by the way, I am SO jealous that you have a 12YO to help!)

I have 3 DDs. The 12-year-old is actually my stepdaughter. She was 2 1/2 when i married her dad. I've never seen her real mom in all that time. She just kind of bowed out of her life. No birthday cards, no christmasa presents, no phone calls, nothing. So I consider her my DD and she calls me mom and everything. I've only had 2 actual babies, though.

Well, she's obviously lucky that her Dad was smart enough to marry you! :thumbsup2 How old are the younger ones?

Thanks! The other two are 9 and 5. One loves dogs, the other loves cats. My girls are all in love with Littles Pet shop. They play them nearly every day.

Bonnie, let me just say that I think it is wonderful that you have done that. She is so lucky to have you. I have a friend who has done the same as has her husband. She had a DD, he had 2 DDs. They got married and have also added 2 DSs and another DD. So they have a yours, mine and ours. The kids all call them mom & dad and they have adopted each others kids. They are the most loving family I have ever seen.

Thanks, Mary! What have you been up to today?

Well, I went to go and get a hair cut, but the shop I ususally go to was closed and I don't know why. DH says maybe they just took vacation today. William & Mary had a big home game today (homecoming) so, they may have closed for that. We all went out to lunch, then I went to super Walmart to get some groceries, and decided to get my haircut there, they actually did a pretty good job. How about you? Anything exciting in your neck of the woods today?

Nope. DH and I got caught up on some shows we've beeing TIVOing this week, and I took a nap, and DISed. That's about it. We decided not to go to the game, cause neither of us felt like going into D.C. today.
