So close, Jay, so close...........

TOO close... :confused3 How am I going to get it all done? My nephew and his dgf arrive in just 48 hours!! Then after a short visit with them we will be out the door!! I don't know what to even attempt next. I have to have the house clean (both for them to visit and I hate coming home to a dirty house and I don't expect them to do more then pick up after themselves since they are going to be "on vacation" too and they are being nice enough to dog/house sit for us for 2 and 1/2 weeks.

Mary what grade do you teach?
Well, I am a contract sub. I work at my girls' school, and I call in to their school everyday to see if I'm needed and if I am I report and work in whatever grade they tell me. Most of my jobs are pre-arranged though. Only a few come on a call in the morning basis. Most of the time I know where I'm going everyday when I leave the school. I love my job, because I still get time off if I need it.

Are you trying to say you're going to get off the DIS and go CLEAN?!?! Is that what you're trying to say?!?! Because I just will not have that kind of talk!!!!!!

You know they will at least do some vacuuming...............

Oh, I can't come home to a messy house either. I clean house, do laundry and run the vacuum as I walk out the door practically.

Yep, that's a great job. The joys of teaching without *some* of the drawbacks...............

At least I'm not the only one...and nope, Paige, you won't lose me to cleaning...I am lazy as anything...and I do love my DISing!!

My favorites are 1st, 2nd, and 4th. I love 4th grade, they are really gaining knowledge and the smart mouths haven't set in yet. 1st & 2nd because they are still so innocent but they aren't so young like Kindergarten. They are actually learning.

Ooops.........be careful with "actually learning"..........former Pre-K teacher here! :thumbsup2

Hey, Howdy, Hey........I'm on a yoyo! Hi there Cousin! :wave2:

Oh I didn't mean that that way. I meant that at the 1st grade level, you have children who are reading and writing in journals and able to read back to you what they wrote. They are actually putting together words in their writing. You can give them instructions and leave them to work independently as well once they hit 1st grade, or at least at my school.
